When they are having dinner together, the mom decides to comment on her daughter's body in a very harsh way despite her to being a new mom. After she bodyshames her daughter, the daughter's husband teaches his mother-in-law a lesson about what is really important.

My mom body shames me cause of my stomach sticking out my grandmother made my stomach stick out only because my grandmother fed me too much and now my mom thinks it's my fault and everytime I do workout my mom thinks its not good enough

This mother needs to stop this! Does she not remember what it was like to give birth?! Now I’ve never given birth but even I can see what it’s like for women! I would’ve kicked her out. I will not tolerate that attitude from her, she needs to stop bodyshaming and judging their parenting

I love my daughter's both are young 20 and 17 years old. To me they are God's precious gift to me, both sooo beautiful.

The no longer attractive grandmother started to be quiet when her daughter's husband told her that he lost his mother around his birth.
Just because women in the 19th century couldn't rest after giving birth doesn't make it fair to expect that today. Anyone who body-shames a woman who has recently given birth deserves no mercy, even if the shamer is "just being honest."
Mom wasn't being a good example for her daughter, her daughter could have walked in her mom's footsteps but she didn't which is a good thing. Usually the children copy what they see they're parents do. It's a saying we used back in the day when we were coming up, "Monkey see monkey do" .

If a really attractive woman dumps a guy who is head over heels for her and loses her physical beauty in the next 10, 20, or 30 years, she is actually doing him a favor.

I'd ask her to leave and wouldn't have her back unless she showed respect. When or if I become a grandmother I'd be so supportive to my daughters and sons and help them like my grandparents did with my parents. I certainly wouldn't be critical that's for sure.

Also Mom: *suddenly has a complete about-face because her son-in-law gave her a brief lecture*
A better ending: the mother keeps mouthing off after her SIL calls her out and claims his mother probably died after giving birth because she "didn't take care of herself," leading her daughter to order her to leave and not come back until she's ready to change her attitude.
