"He was looking for a place to die." These were one of the first words that the narration told us about Kaido from the very moment we say him. He stands as one of the 4 Emperors of the Sea, and one of the strongest people on the planet. Just like many pirates in this vast world, he also seeks to become the King of the Pirates and find the great treasure... but WHY? Given the first words uttered by the narration when Kaido was introduced, why does Kaido care about the One Piece treasure?

Then all he has to do is drop his defences and make himself vulnerable. He can sell refined seastone tools to all his enemies (especially since Wano is known for this), which was very possible when he had the world's biggest black market broker under his command. He can face off against Marine HQ or one of the emperors in a war if he wants it to be glorious. Honestly, after reading it all, I don't think Kaido wants to die. I think he's a hypocrite

This goes back to what dr hiriluk said about when does a man truly die. When he is forgotten. Kaido wants to go out so spectacularly that a 1000 years down the line theyll still be talking about it. Sounds like his biggest fear is being forgotten to time

The Buu Saga was one of the Best Arcs in all of Dragonball. I would argue Tennouji's Introduction in the Manga of Hinomaru Zumou as one of the Greatest Intros of any Fictional Character ever.

I feel like kaido regrets killing oden and how he did it. Not only did kaido kill the only person that could fulfil his dream for him but he also killed oden pitifully by shooting him after a great feat that's why he doesn't include oden when he says white beard and Roger did it right

You know Kaido finding the One Piece and declaring World War on the Marines and World Governments, with half the One Piece world rising behind him and The Yonko and World Government fighting to kill him sounds incredibly exciting. Almost wish that was the future.
KoL said Kaido could easily drown himself, but after 996 I don´t think he could that...That Yamato moment with the fangs growing resparked a certain theory on Kaido

Oda is definitely delivering when it comes to Kaido. If he can give Whitebeard a magnificent death that makes him forever goated, then he can do that with Kaido as well, if not even more. Since the goal of Whitebeard wasn't a magnificent death to begin with.

I really like the idea of Kaido being someone who is obsessed with hunting for a glorious death that will make him remembered like Roger or Whitebeard.
And very true for Anime Endings, Code Geass' Ending was so good it elevated a good show to be an epic one that is still remembered today. Gigguk made a good video about the art of ending anime, which has become less common given how seasonal anime work nowadays with anime "just" adopting a season's worth of material every few years with no guarantee of ever completing the show.

I think the fact that he killed the old lady, and his final words to Oden, prove that he was traumatized by what happened. That was likely the one and only time he was truly beaten and nearly killed, and that old lady ruined it by using a trick, thus spitting on Kaidos dream
I think a dope ass death battle would be Kaido (strongest creature) vs Yujiro from Baki (strongest creature) my money's on Kaido but the reputation of them both are so similar it would be dope to see the break down

Kaido wants to be pirate king so he can be viewed as a prestigious warrior. Kaido is already labeled the strongest person in the world; however he's not respected by many. He has his crew, but most of them don't trust nor like him. He's bene jealous of oden for that longest; that's why he got major ptsd when fighting the scabbards.
Hell he got punked by monosuke lol. Kaido may be the strongest but he clearly has the most insecurity issues

Why are kaidos and big moms feet so small?
Because their bodies are massive, their feet look tiny. Big Mom is constantly floating and Kaido simply fly when he gets tired of walking.

Tekking101 brought up a great point. He said is it possible that Kaido is just a dragon that has a human form no devil fruit. The more I think about it just from this video it makes more sense now. If he was executed by the marines he would've had kurosake handcuffs on like Ace and would've died but he didn't.
Don’t forget kaido is the inversion and direct parallel to whitebeard and he will die in wano like whitebeard in marineford so it will either be him running away and gets hit in the back or dies proudly how he wants but still dies in wano

A little early considering we haven't got a completely kaido focused backstory such as how he had Yamato who his parents were maybe maybe not how he met Orochi how he went to wano his time on the Rocks Pirates his debt to big mom the time he spent captured how he got his subordinates king queen Jack Joker doflamingo( I know that the same) and any of his interactions with Roger
