Rocklee nailed it right on the head, bleach is all about introspection and figuring yourself out, thatâs why zanpaktouâs have inner worlds and all that, and theyâre representative of the persons soul/emotions.

Grand fisher wasnt a adjucha, he wasnt even a menos, he was just a normal hollow before he became a arrancar. Although he was a little different considering he was intelligent while most normal hollows are animalistic.
He had the potential to combine with other hollows into a Menos and keep his individuality tbh.
@@yami2227 indeed. maybe if he actually went thru the process of hollow evolution first then maybe he would've been way stronger when he finally takes of his mask and become an arrancar.

You guys shouldn't skip episode 239, it's listed as filler because of the arc it's a part of but the 2nd half of the episode is nearly entirely canon

In the mangĂĄ, Rangiku hair color is actually blonde, but they made her hair orange in the anime, just an explanation!
I liked how this encounter echoed the classic Vegeta/Nappa meets Goku situation, but then turns it on its head with Ichigo being unable to do anything.
Hitsuguya is really channeling the "I WILL turn this car around it you don't cut it out right now" old man energy in these episodes.
It would have been funny to see his father interact with Matsumoto...

The reason it would be funny is that she and Hitsuguya were his apprentices. He was basically the only father figure Hitsuguya ever had and treated him in much the same way he now does Ichigo. Matsumoto was his lieutenant and the dynamic between them was the exact opposite of the one between her and Hitsuguya--he was the lazy one and she constantly was on him to actually do the squad paperwork. He disappeared, leaving her literally years worth of paperwork, and she would probably happily beat his ass for that.
The old man (Yamamoto) is the captain of squad 1.
And to nitpick, while counting Bankai users you would have to remove Kenpachi, but since it's shorthand for power ranking it's moot point.

That squad...it's such a glorious mix ! In the filler, Renji was assigned to Kurakara town and there was a whole joke about him being a freeloader at Kisuke's house...You didn't miss much really.

Ulquiorra's problem with Ichigo wasn't so much that he was weak, but that his strength levels kept oscillating really far. He'd have high strength one second, but then be weak the next, and he couldn't control when it happened. Less 'weak', more 'unreliable'.
Little clarification...Aizen said he has 20 brothers and sisters, Menos transformed into Arrancars...but he didn't said they were Vasto Lorde yet...However, just the threat of a few made into Arrancars at this point in the story, is nightmarish for Soul Society in the weaken state they are. Now one of the fun part of the show is to know...which one are Gillians and Vasto Lorde ?

Even though it's considered filler, you guys should definitely check out the Ashiido episodes later on in Bleach. Awesome side story and great growth for our girl Rukia.
Finally someone says it. Renji is so good-looking. He also ALWAYS has drip. I don't know if you did already, but you have to look at some of the cover art for the manga. Renji's always dressed so well. Him and Byakuya...such a good looking captain-lieutenant duo.
I loved the Nappa commet. I always think of this encounter as being waaaay to similar to what happened in dbz.
Not coincidence. Its actually a direct reference of Nappa & Vegeta arrival by Kubo as a tribute/appreciation towarda Akira Toriyama(dbz creator).

Don't worry about the filler episodes... even if you skip them the most that happens with that in the canon episodes is that they acknowledge the fact that the characters from the fillers existed, or that the new canon enemies are "stronger" than the ones in the fillers... and the mod souls try to "help" every now and then but wether they help or not it does not make any difference in the end...
Sado got bodied just the same in the manga... for some reason at this point they tries to make it look like Sado actually was helpful in some way or form... cool dude but he is not on the level of the "real enemies" just the lackeys... he didn't manage to face a captain in the last arc... Ishida did... even if the power level was noticeable...
the hollow side froze his body in that fight. ten vasto lordes that became arrancars would wipe out the entire soul society itself is what histyugaya explianed. basically saying two or three captians and there entire squads for one vasto lorde turned arrancar. yamamotto is captian of squad one and general of the entire soul reaper sqauds.
Everyone always falls for that 20 brothers trick they miss the arrancar part. You can't forget that the power levels are based on averages not all captains are the same that go for Vasto Lordes too.

I made that mistake the first time I watched he was right about the classes but he wasnât 100 sure about the vasto lordes power scaling.
Oh he was correct. 10 Vasto Lorde Arrancars could probably destroy them. But Aizen just has 20+ arrancar. Every hollow can become one. We don't know how many of them where Vasto Lordes before they became arranacar.
Its understable, you guys can't focus because of Renji and Rangiku's good featrues, its normal. But imagine you guys started playing Bleach Brave Souls. Your intention will intensify!
