If you hear. You should definitely try out the Discraft Sting. New players will love it. Intermediate players can get great hyzer flip to turn over shots with some fight back on the end. Advance players will hyzer flip to full turn over pushing right
DD Vandal is still one of my faves. I got a Lucid one that's beat in and flippy, but I know how it flies. Only disc I can throw a hyzer flip to late turnover with consistently which is fun.
169g Westside VIP Hatchet is my hyzer flip disc when it is calm, we are at elevation 7200 however.
I feel you! Here in Iceland the wind socks are made out of iron chains 😅
I’ve still got very low arm speed but I’m able to flip the Binx from Elevation and now lately I’m also able to do slight hyzer flips on the TSA Mantra.
I'm a Trilogy fan and just discovered the Westside Hatchet! This thing is a low arm speed hyzer-flip dream machine!! I wish I would have tried this disc years ago. I've thrown the Maverick - I'm telling you, the Hatchet is better, waaaaay better!
Prodigy F7 fills the slot that the maverick would be in my bag. The best recommendations I’ve had that improved my distance driver game were Innova g star mamba, and Star Tern. I’d recommend getting the g star mamba in the 160-165g weight range. If you are trying to get to that 300ft range, both of these discs can do that. My star tern is only 147g. It flips up very easily even though it’s a higher speed disc. I can even get long s lines with my noodle arm.
great hyzerflip to understable disc for armspeeds around 250-300ft - Kastaplast Stig in K1 plastic!
1st ace was with a maverick. I dont currently bag one. Go from crave to underworld which is the most fun to hyzer flip :)
Would love to see a review of the Bolt. I have a low arm speed but seem to be able to throw this disc with success.
Thanks so much for this video. I'm going to get one and try it. I have slower arm speed and have been needing something to replace my beat in, DX Teebird, that flies like that. The problem is, as it gets more beat in, the flight is changing. My new Champion TeeBird is far more overstable than my old DX one.
Loving at least one hyzer-flip disc for every slot! Ruby, Archer, Origin, Stig, Cosmos, Heat, Valkyrie, Orbital, Scorch and on max distance drives the Ballista is for sure a hyzerflip-disc in headwinds =)
One of my favorites. The lucid plastic flips from vertical to flat and will keep slowly flipping. My Melton orbit maverick is amazing flips up and holds forever.
Oops, I meant to say the UNDERWORLD is a hyzer flipper ripper.
I haven't actually tried the speed 9 hatchet, because the underworld, though a 7 speed, has 9 speed distance.
Maverick really is a good mold.
I have a Kona shield stamp Lucid Ice Maverick that is much more stable than typical Lucid, even beat in after two years it's still much more stable than lucid out of the box. Great Hyzer flip disc with fade
Turnover discs for me: lighter Opto Jade (up to 70-75 m, also for quite low throws) , lighter Opto Air Bolt (up to 80+ m). Much more difficult but if thrown well, greatly turnovering: Diamond (up to 70 m, also for low throws).
My 165g Hokom Crave covers 3 shots for me. Hyzer release is hyzer flip to fade. Flat release is a slow turning shot that doesnt fade back. Anny release with slight nose up for panning turnover that lands flat.
I loved my Fuzion orbit eye EmacTruth. I lost it out in San Diego :(. Now I like using the R2 Hex for hyzer flips.
You got me bringing my Fuzion Maverick out of storage to give it another shot.
Thanks for the video!
When looking at understable fairway drivers you might take a look at the Lat64's MAUL.
In my opinion, it's an completely overseen mold that is totally over-shadowed by Innova's Leopard.
The Maul gives me an firmer handfeel than the Leopard does and it glides for days.
Give it a try!
I’ve never tried a Maverick. I did buy a Cobra at a yard sale last week. It was beat in and warped. But, with my slow arm speed, it is the first disk I can flip. It was so much fun after months of throwing to watch a disk get a full flex. No one talks about the Cobra. Is it such an old disk that no one gives it a review?
Yea you are probably spot on with that. I think there's lots of older discs but obviously, new is cool and everyone wants to jump on the hype train.
I like to think we have a nice mix of new and old but some of those older Innova molds are beloved by a few and basically unknown to others, maybe we should do a little disc golf time machine :D
Yeah, the old Innova discs-Leopard, Shark, Aviar-were my first discs (bought as a starter set). I still throw the Leopard and have thrown a Cobra and a Wombat. A video on vintage discs would be great!
I have the Maverick in base plastic, and it is my understable disk. Presently comparing that to a DX tee bird, which is a bit more flippy (it's pretty beat in ). But I love how it flies, and might have to try one in Lucid Air.
Depends on how badly i need it to not burn over, but somewhere in Axion Virus, MVP Inertia, and Innova Mamba is where I het my hyzer flips. The inertia is more of a throw it flat and let it turn than a true flip.
My favorite hyzer flip disc is a Jackalope.
Here’s my hyper-flip line up for different speeds: paradox, F7, insanity, thrasher.
Axiom Fission Rhythm for effortless hyzer flips disc is insane.
for me im using different runs of wraiths, g star for deep hyzer, late flips, soft stars for normals, and normal stars for straight shots, halo for overstable.
Elevation Eco Flex Binx is my go to understable fairway driver.
This 230-250ft arm has a beat in origio burst Underworld that hyzer flips beautifully. Thrown flat it will just turn for days or burn over, but on hyzer it flips up, runs mostly straight with a smidge of continued turn before fading back slightly.
I don't think we're engaging the hips in body in our throws. At least my 250 arm
I'd like see your review of innova daedalus mine's in g-star plastic. Such a great disc in wooded tunnelshots 🤤
Mine is the mvp paradox
Sapphire (gold) / Jade (opto) do it for me. Diamond is too US for me, tho.
Anyone know why innova only made the cheetha in dx plastic? Or is it made in any other plastics?
They have them in star on their pro shop.
@@tinncan thank you
Do they fly like dx or is it more stable
Lightweight Fission Crave
I mean... You probably have like 3 leopards already, just look in the trash can at the course and there will probably be one...
I do like my Maverick
DD used to make a flippier one.
I think it was called the witness.
I've had a L64 diamond, but it didn't seem to go that far.
Now the Westside hatcet, that is a flip machine and it goes far as F!
I got a venom and it won't go half as far as ABs 700'++ and no one will refund me? False advertisement Tony?
