- A childhood dream coming true: Riding through Swedens county Värmland, the lake-rich haven of natural beauty and enjoying the views from a birds perspective …. Until I crashed my drone.
We enjoyed our journey through Darlana and our stay at Lake Siljan that much, that we decided to go for the same strategy for the next Swedish county we were about to visit: Like always we wanted to find some small and fun roads to ride and enjoy the nature surrounding us - and like in Darlana we aimed to swim in at least one of the 10.000 lakes of the county Värmland.
Visiting Värmland was always a childhood dream of mine. The World-famous author Selma Lagerlöf lived in Värmland. In her books „The Wonderful Adventures of Nils“ a young boy is transformed to the size of a thumb and starts the adventurous journey on the back of a white goose that joins wild geese on their migration. I chose my drone instead of a goose to explore Värmland from above - until I crashed it!

Danke Lea wieder ein Grandioses Video von eurem Trip! An diesen kleinen geschwungenen Asphaltstraßen konnte ich mich auch nicht satt Fahren, einfach Herrlich und kaum bis kein Verkehr. Das war ja euer und unser Glück das der Copter den freien Fall so gut weggesteckt hat, denn mit so einer Luftaufnahme sieht ein See noch genialer aus wie er eh schon ist.
Ja, dank der kleinen Drohne bekommt man nochmal eine andere Perspektive. Vor allem aber auch Glück, weil auf see Speicherkarte auch noch die ganzen vorherigen Flüge waren, die ich noch nicht auf den Computer übertragen hatte...

I like the small roads like the ones you often choose to a little off-road adventure . But there is nothing like a twisty road with a perfect tarmac. The satisfying feeling we get is irreplaceable. For me a motorcycle is the perfect vehicle for off-roading, twisties ridings and feeling free. Thank you Lea for taking us with you !

I have to admit that I often do the research afterwards or right on the road as I prefer to travel very spontaneously. That’s why I sometimes as well miss out on a lot of nice things because I just don’t know they exist 😂

You were quite lucky it fell exactly at the trail. 50 meters of and you’d have had a hard time finding it. What a relief it must have been.

Happy to see that you saved your drone, those dji drones is not cheap so it´s worth spending time to find it. Saved telemetry data (gps coordinates) and maybe even remote FPV video recording is priceless when something unexpected happens. Nice video as always but even if it had been twice as long, I do not think anyone would have been bored 😊

We don’t drive with an intercom or any communication system, so there were already several times where I waited on top of a mountain with no phone reception while he was already down at The Valley. 😂😂😂
Next time you are in Värmland, you need to go to a town called Karlskoga, here we have the house and museem of Alfrad Nobel, and like the rest of Värmland alot of forest, gravel roads and lakes.
Absolute stunning scenery wonderfully captured, but I think you are going to have to re-sit your pilots license before you fly your drone again ha...
Fun fact: I even have the European drone flying license - but I just was stubborn and flew it too long on a low battery 😩😅

Beautiful Lea! Congrats to the successful drone recovery. Now your trip are geting very close to where I ride on my day rides. Värmland is also my "backyard" for adv riding. Beautiful and remote. A lot of really nice gravel roads where the WRC Rally Sweden use to be held. Look forward to see what you will experience when you pass my close area. Cheers and happy trails!/ Mattias

If you like gravel roads, you have arrived to "gravel road paradise" when you enter Värmland.
In värmland we have so much of gravel road that you can stop counting them. It `s not worth the effort. You be out of numbers !!! Nice for offroadbikers and adventurebikers.

It must be Thursday.....🤣😘😬 You might think about painting the drone a bright red or orange to help find it if you lose it again. Some of my knives, hatchets and camping gear, have bright colors. If I happen to set them down when I’m camping or hiking, it makes it easier to find them. So many lakes, so little time.....💪🏻👍🏻 😉 Did you find some good places to eat?
Yes I think I might do that for the next journey! I am a bit worried that I will ruin the ability to fly or something when paining it though. This shit always happens to me 😂
@@Got2Go Perhaps some strips of red reflective tape in the center on the back and the belly of the drone might work. It shouldn’t cause balance problems.

Minnesota, USA is known as the land of 10,000 lakes but it actually has 14,444 lakes. I believe they are formed by glaciers during the last Ice Age. Ride safe and have fun. 🇺🇸

It’s 4828 kilometers East to West. Or you could go from the southern tip of Texas to the most northern parts of Alaska. And we have dozens of National Parks. What do you think? Crate up the T7 and stay awhile.
