Concrete cowboys is a movie that damn near brought tears to my eyes. I just started riding and it’s so therapeutic. Urban Horsemen and Black Cowboys are here to stay
I think this is so important. I'm glad this man is giving those kids a chance to do something that is not only teaching them responsibility and compassion, but that is such a therapeutic experience. Sure, the horses don't have fancy stables but they are cared for and loved and that's what matters.
This man is a hero. I so hope he is able to keep this going. Horse ownership and horse back riding is so good for kids and such a healthy form of recreation. It teaches kids responsibility and to care for themselves and others. This man is right-- having horses, being around horses, taking care of horses -- is literally life changing for children and young people. Actually it is of great benefit to people of all ages. Unfortunately all these paid off city officials care about is money, greed and big business.
I see this video is several years old and the website at the end has no contact information. How can we help and contact him? Did the stable survive? Wonderful video! Thank you so much and wishing everyone the best. Allison
Just another way to break your spirit!!! Don’t let it happen. Fight for those kids they need hope and they need someone to point them toward the right light at the end of the tunnel. Who’s nows, one days one of your kids will become a real-estate lawyer. Keep the city away from your safe haven In Gods name all is possible
These horses are an integral part of keeping kids out of gangs, running dope, etc.. but apparently Philadelphia would rather these kids run the streets committing crime. This city is a joke, it's all about money. Let the kids keep their stable and horses. Have a little apathy for these kids instead of worrying about collecting more taxes. ASPCA needs to get their priorities straight. These horses may not live an 'affluent' life, but at least they're living. Manywould have gone to slaughter, instead, they are fed/watered, sheltered and cared for - that's more than can be said for many animals and millions of homeless pets - how about concentrating on this problem first.

What a beautiful man and mission. I really hope that they get the funds they need to continue.
