Ah yes D1GP the game. Not long ago I managed to beat it.
For those who wants to know about those hidden beginner/expert/professional cars, here's how to unlock them:
Beginner/Expert hidden cars
Nobuteru Taniguchi's 2001 championship car (Nissan S15): Win the 2001 season
Katsuhiro Ueo's 2002 championship car (Toyota AE86): Win the 2002 season
Youichi Imamura's 2003 championship car (Mazda RX7): Win the 2003 season
Ryuji Miki's 2004 championship car (Top Secret S15): Win the 2004 season
Nobushige Kumakubo's S15 and Kazuhiro Tanaka's S15: Win the 2005 season
For the professional cars, you had to unlock them via Survival mode and you'll get cars such as Tsuchiya's AE86, Mana-P's Odyssey, Orido's RS-R Supra, etc. and yes that includes the UFO as well if you wanna unlock it.

I watched and Addicted to D1 before. I watched it in the Dvd called "Video Option" I observe them no one uses Skyline R34, Lancer Evo, Impreza and Supra(Japan Drifters) After 2005. One of the professional dirfters said that those cars are hard to drift and they are not for drifting. Max Orido struggles in 2005 season because he always crash using the Supra

Oh man, I remember this game. I was never able to unlock all the cars in the game as I didn't understand how this game worked back when I still had it. It's nice to see what all the other Pro cars were. Though if this is supposed to be all of it, are those "?" in the beginner car section just blanks or are there more hidden cars you could unlock but are not listed here?

This game the turn drifting with analog PS2 stick controler, but example. At the PCSX2 this a game is a turning drift with a Keyboard mate.
In JP: Alternate version of Orido's Supra and Yamada's Viper are unlockable from survival mode.
In US: Kawasaki's JZX90 and UFO are unlockable instead.

0:59, there is a listing for "expert" cars. do these not vary from "beginner" cars in model? or are there also unique cars in this catagory?
The difference is the tuning. Expert has more complex tuning, while beginner has simple tune.
