EJ Tech A 630 MB video would take me about 7-8 hours to upload for me. I don't see why you're complaining. I also like in the U.S and I have Windstream.

- Information about my Internet connection:
It is a legacy PLDT myDSL + Landline bundle where we pay PhP 1299 ($ 26 US) per month for unlimited 3 Mbps down, 0.7 Mbps up.
As of posting this video, a DSL only connection now cost the same.
For the same price, 10 Mbps is available from PLDT and SKY but with a data cap, or 5 Mbps unlimited on SKY.
A better value option I'm waiting for to arrive in my neighborhood is Converge Fiber X with unlimited 25 Mbps up and down for just PhP 1500 ($30 US).
Wow, $26 is good. I pay $35 for the same but 0.5 upload. It used to be $55 before my isp finally disconnected it from having to be a phone line. We couldn't even use a landline, we had to pay an extra $10-$15 for that, which would make it $65-$70. I live in rural Alabama and they have fiber optic literally 0.5 miles from my house and they're DRAGGING THEY'RE FEET to run it down my road. I wish I could at least get 5mbps but we're "Over 15,000 feet from the building." So we're stuck with this for at least another year... Sorry for my little rant there. Thank you for the tips, switching to "metered" on Windows 10 helped a little!

This tips also are useful even if you have a faster internet connection. I have 40 mbit internet connection and some programs (like Dropbox or steam) are able to saturate it to the point where I can't do anything else. Setting reasonable bandwidth limits in every program you use is a must.
This is so damn relatable; I just had to subscribe. I have this exact bundle (DSL + Landline).
My download speed: 400 Kbps
My upload speed: 20 Kbps
Yeah dude so you're is way better than mine though.

2020 UPDATE: My Download speed is now 3Mbps Download
and 700Kbps Upload. My ISP is called Windstream, that's been my only ISP for 13 years now. They won't upgrade me to anything higher and I'm waiting on Starlink to become available one day, I live in South East United States and internet is still this bad in 2020 going into 2021...

sometimes you are stuck with the internet connection provided. for example in an airbnb, you can't upgrade to a faster internet because it's not your internet account. so you're pretty much at the mercy of the host. so a faster connection could be available but I'm stuck with a slow one because the host of the airbnb just doesn't care enough to give their customers a fast connection

I feel you , dude. I want to switch from PLDT to something else. I cannot rely on Skynet because they have power interruption most of the time here in San Pedro, Laguna. Our subdivision doesn't have Globelines, converge is not in our area yet, Royal cable doesn't have a line in San Pedro (only Binan and Sta. Rosa). Cablelink has 32MBPS but very expensive at 4,200 pesos compare to PLDT fibr. How many times that I apply for Fibr because I heard that the street at the back of our subdivision has... BUT the PLDT engineer doesn't want work and money so he declined my requests.
No point. Corruption EVERYWHERE, all internet providers suck.

I pay $12/m CAD for 10mb/s unlimited that tests at 16mb/s. My condo board negotiated a great exclusive deal for our building. I can watch 1440p videos on CZcams if I use a browser extension that allows buffering.

@@josefschuster7657 I no longer use it because my ISP increased my speed to 25mb/s for free about 6months ago , it now tests at 32mb/s. The browser extensions probably no longer work, You have to use firefox, install "Grease monkey" add-on and then use Userscript: CZcamsCenter.user.js

Haha, i also have an old laptop (i think it's the same as yours, Acer 5610Z) that i use it only for download big stuff. Sometimes i forget about it and it keeps running for days nonstop, lol.
Mine is an Acer TravelMate 2420 but it no longer does the overnight download duty. I now use a Lenovo S10-3 netbook.

Because you need to subscribe to data promos and not everyone can afford them. Thus, they can only last up to 30 days. Luckily, fixed broadband internet doesn't suffer this type of problem, or having a Corpo sim plan.

I am paying $103 canadian for 600mbps down and 303 Mbps upload and no data cap with my Shaw BlueCurve Fiber+. I can download a torrent. Game online ps4. Somebody else can be watching a 4K video. And I can be on my computer gaming online all at the same time and the network is still good hahaha. I have tested this before when I had people over.. didn't even phase my network. even with everybody's smart phones connected to it. Seeing this video makes me feel fortunate that there are good services in my area. I don't have enough internet connected devices in my house phase my connection yet

It could be a good idea. But unfortunately, people most rich people are selfish enough not to share their fast fiber optic internet to the public for everyone to make them experience like up to 3-digit Mbps speeds (100 Mbps to 999 Mbps), and especially, 1 Gbps. It's just sad to see and that's just the truth.

You can get 50 Mbps for just ₱1,450 a month and get just 60 Mbps for almost the same price, at just ₱1,650 a month. The good thing with the 60 Mbps plan right now it's just that the plan includes 3 Google Wifi points. It is only available until the end of this decade/2010's era (December 31, 2019). Once the 2020s comes, it's no more. Yet again, it's just my opinion/suggestion.
