Got the same brakes on my 206 1.6 HDI, amazing stopping power with no fade at all. And the 302mm brakes come on the 207 RC, 307 2.0HDi 16v 135 also.
Bruno Santos great info 👍🐷
Great video bud, keep em coming!
thankyou. appreciate the comments 😊👍 wish those who put "thumbs down" would say why...thus can improve!
Excellent videos, subbed ! 👍🏻
Well thankyou! 🐷💪
You're welcome ! :)
Think I'm gonna run this setup on my C2 VTS if i go ahead with my turbo plans! thanks for the video mate.
No worries... Nice bargain big brake setup!
@@PiggyPower Yes indeed! just to run it by you to double check, the C4 VTS discs will work with 306 gti6 calipers and 16" wheels? Might need spacers but that's no issues.
16" wheels yes... But you need the vts calipers too, as per the video. 👌
@@PiggyPower Okay mate, thanks a lot!
No worries...have fun!
What a great video. Your presentation is professional quality. Many thanks. Might have mentioned needing bigger wheels a but earlier though. I want to up grade my 206cc but without changing the wheels. You mentioned another option. Is that the VW GTI ?
Thanks.
No, just 206 GTi180 brakes for 15" wheels. 👍
@Piggy Power your videos are great and explained really well.
I have a 2001 Peugeot Petrol 206 Gti 140, with the 17 inch 180 wheels.
I'd love to upgrade to the biggest possible disc, preferably with the current stock caliper carrier for easier installation...
Would you have any advice or information on what size I could get?
Your current disc will be the biggest for your current calipers.... This setup will not be the biggest you can get behind the 17s but more than big enough for your car/power level... And brake master.
👍
🐷💪
Really good how to, I would like to do this conversion have you any idea of the part numbers for the front Callipers I seem to be able to find the C4 callipers for the 266 discs
I don't. Keep looking 😜👌🐷
Hey Mr Power, great video. What are the largest brakes I can fit to my s16, keeping the standard 15" cyclones?
Royce Amatique if you use spacers... You can make 406 brembos fit. Otherwise lots of options for calipers... As far as discs... 283mm is likely your limit
Hi mate! I can't really find the mentioned calipers nowhere! Do you know if the 207 RC calipers fit in a 206 too? I think they are 302mm also...
Those calipers are everywhere to be honest! The 207 GTI ones may well be, not sure, sorry. 307 xsi have 300mm also I believe :)
Thank you! In my countrie the 207 GTI is named as RC, 206 GTI 180 is RC as well
I know.... That's why I corrected it... I have no idea why they use RC in other countries, really don't get it... RC stands for remote control car here... Makes it sound like a cheap toy... Oh, wait 🙊🙈🤣
@@PiggyPower :D :D
302mm right? Did you maybe weight the discs and calipers (without the pads in) too?
Yes, as per the description and no I didn't weigh them. They are obviously heavier... More disc, more metal, more weight 👍☺️🐷💪
Hi Mr Piggy Power! Do you know 302 mm brakes whether they will become 16" rims? I have original Peugeot "Ouragan" 16".
Yes, you need minimum 16" wheels as outlined in the video 👍
Will these be a straight fit onto the 306 hdi meridian?
yes indeed these will be a upgrade for a 306 also...but do need 16" wheels
can I put only discs and calipers from c4 or I have to change brake caliper carrier?
Mikri Maus caliper carrier is part of the caliper, so it will come with it if you buy them/remove them from a vehicle
Can I please ask does 1.9 diesel injectors fit in a 2.0 hdi I'm making it into a manual diesel engine
not even close buddy.
What do you think, can I put disc and (and the rest of breaking parts) from a 407 3.0v6 (they are 330mm) on my peugeot 307 2.0hdi?
I believe the 307 is 4 stud...and the 407 is 5 stud? If I'm correct, then no you can't. But a 300mm brake setup be plenty for your 307... The 307 is at least 350kg lighter than a 407!
@@PiggyPower i tought making some adapters from 4stud to 5 stud...i think mine are 302mm front and 247mm back
Lot of effort for a small advantage from 300-330... I'd recommend some high end pads, hoses and fluid to get your 300mm brakes to be MORE than enough for the 307
@@PiggyPower thank u i will take that in conciderations
Hi Piggy, I run 1.4 206 with stock 247 non ventilated discs. What i need to do a 266 swap ? Just caliper and caliper carier ?
And discs and pads. 😛
Hi piggy you did great job on this video keep doing that I'm tuned my 206 1.1i 98 and before I wasn't satisfied with braking power also can u help me what should help me to better stop? Thanks for answering me
This upgrade is a little overkill for you. Try just the vented brakes. And good quality pads and discs, not cheap ones.
Yeah C4 are big but you talked with someone about 288 brake disc's for 15" rim's what about this or something close from PSA
Gti180 brakes. But as I say... I rekon any of the HDi/1.6/1.4 vented 266mm brakes would be decent upgrade for your 1.1 brakes. 283mm GTi 180 brakes will fit under 15s though... I fit them on the 206 daily 👌
@@PiggyPower thank you very much for help mate
what type of grease do you think is better for those sliding bolts, siliconic or that cooper ?
Art Adrian whatever you have to hand... I would always reccomend copper (cheap and easy to come by) or as an upgrade ceramic based slip grease which will have a higher working temperature range 🐷👍 thankyou for watching and commenting
Niether. Bolts wil stuck. Only high temperature grease SPECIALLY for sliding bolts. Also you shouldnt use ANY grease on ATE-type calipers. There is dry friction by design.
I can assure you they are greased from factory
HI, did this brake 302mm fits on ouragan 16"?
Fits UNDER 16" wheels yes, as per the video 😜
Rok później, ale to samo mi chodzi po głowie. Orangutany do 206CC :D
Hi Piggy Power. I have a peugeot 307 1.6 Hdi with 283mm discs. I want to upgrade to 302 mm from a 307 2.0 Hdi 136 hp. The brake caliper carrier will fit ?
Best regards
You will need the caliper and carrier from the vehicle with the 302mm discs also. 👍👌🐷💪
@@PiggyPower ok. they will fit with no problem right ? its plug&play
Should be 👌💪🐷
@@PiggyPower Thanks
@@PiggyPower Hi, do you know what year/model had 302 brake discs from factory?
Hi mate, assuming the same swap can be done on a 207 1.6 hdi 08?
Yes I would have suggested it should do... I've not actually tried it though so please don't quote me!! 😆👍
🐷💪
Have you played with polybushes at all on these cars? I have not looked but you would think the suspension set up is similar
On 207 you can put brakes from 207 RC\C4 2.0 HDI\3008 for 302*26mm disk. This is bolt on setup. Or 4-piston brembo from 406 CC 3.0 for 288*28 disk from Xsara
@@user-pj4mq4ss7t hi. Does the 406 brembo calipers go on the first generation 308. Have a 2008 peugeot 308 and would like more stopping power
One question! The 283 mm disc fit with the caliper and caliper carrier for 266mm disc?
Vlad Enache not in a million years!
Thanks. I have a 207 with 266 mm discs and when I changed the brake pads i have seen that the caliper s piston is a bit larger for my discs and pads. You can see a part of it as the full circle of piston isn t in full contact with the pad. I thought that could be the reserve for 283mm disc, but this one is also 4mm thicker and maybe that s why you can t fit on a 266 caliper and carrier setup. Anyway thanks for the answer and keep up this awesome videos about pugs. I can't wait to see the project 16v finished.
Also on service box there are two different codes for 266 and 283 calipers. That means i had high hopes. That said I will upgrade to 302 mm.
Vlad Enache it's mainly because the calipers won't bolt on because the 283 discs are 17mm more in diameter!! The piston often overlaps a little on the pug design calipers. Nothing to worry about. Part of the major upgrade to '283' brakes is the discs...but only part, there is of course the pad size and the caliper itself is bigger too! 😊👍🐖
I've understood ! Thanks very much for taking time to explain. You saved me of much work and effort ! I will start searching for 302mm calipers
will these brakes clear the stock 15" wheels of the 206 GTi 140 ?
I answer this in the video 😜
But no, not a chance. Think about the measurements 😜
@@PiggyPower yeah, thought so.
Do these fit 106 / Saxo's aswel?
Yes it would 👌🐷💪
@@PiggyPower What is minimum alloys to fit it ?
@@AMIRB11S as per the video... Min 16"
@@PiggyPower Thanks
Hi from Portugal....can you help me with my xsara 1.4 hdi 2003? Origin came with 266mm disks and want to change to 283mm but can't find calipers that fit in my car with 283mm disks. Do you know for sure the perfect calipers to my car? Appreciated
NN NN Xsara vts or 306 GTi6 👍
Piggy Power are really the only ones? Xsara Picasso and pug 307??? Too much appreciated
NN NN hi there... They may fit too... But I'm 100% on the cars k have mentioned 👍🐷
Any recommendations for getting bigger discs for a 407? Looked at big-brake kits but don't feel like spending 10k+
Stock 407 big brakes are pretty huge! 508 MK1 will fit too (same chassis and underpinning)
@@PiggyPower thank you for the quick reply. So it's not gonna get any bigger then 283mm
Other than the 330mm stock brakes on some 407s... If you need bigger than that... Something else is wrong!
@@PiggyPower ever drive over the autobahn uphill with 230km/h and suddenly a polish truck driver decides to overtake another truck with 25km/h? I thank my lucky brakes when that happened
That's to do with pad quality more than anything. At that speed, for a decent period of time, your brakes are stone cold. Smaller brakes would bite harder at that speed...but sustain hard braking for a shorter period of time
I have a 2007 207 hdi. Whats brakes would you recommend to upgrade the front of it many thanks.
What have you got now? What use does the vehicle have?
@@PiggyPower standard brakes im going to put a 110 engine in and have it mapped to take the different turbo. Just want to drive it pretty hard most of the time.
So you have a 1.6hdi 90bhp but you plan on fitting an entire 110hdi 1.6 engine?
@@PiggyPower yeah only because my engine has few oil leaks and i have a 110bhp engine from a 296 gti hdi the turbocharger is different hdi tuning will map my ecu to make it run as it should with some extra power. I know the engine is the same only difference is the fuel pump injectors and turbo.
What set up would you recommend to gain power?
These calipers came from which model?
Mentioned in the video and description 👍
@@PiggyPower Yep, I was trying to ask the part number or maybe a key word to find here in Brazil. :) I saw the entire vídeo, I undestand 95% of the english, thanks for sharing information
Key word would be Citroen C4 VTS I would think?
@@PiggyPower A friend told me that the brakes from 3008 fits in my 307 sw 2.0 too, I will try next year
@@WeslleySR it's possible. You will find parts from older models are cheaper though. And later 3008 have a 5 stud wheels.
code oem of calipers?
No idea

Timoteo Batalha Hi there... My Portugese is a little rusty...what are you trying to say?! 😢🐖
I'm trying to say hello. just hello
I liked your channel on CZcams. I have already signed up.
Timoteo Batalha 😂😂😂 ok! Hello! I take it you have a Xsara VTS?
Piggy Power No. no have VTS. I have Xsara Picasso, motor EW10J4.
266mm is actually already pretty good for a 206, I doubt that bigger brakes will be useful on the road.
Nicely explained though.
dufonrafal thanks for watching and commenting! I've regularly toasted the 266mm brakes on the 206. With a couple of occupants and some luggage, can be 1250kg easily... thats a fair bit to slow at pace.
After some time trying 266, 283 and 300mm, I felt the 300mm were a little over the top for road use,but 266s are just not up to quick road driving or a loaded car
Piggy Power you toasted the 266? You must be driving hard!
dufonrafal Not really. Has felt on edge of fade few times with just a loaded up vehicle.
@@PiggyPower is 283mm enough for 206?
@@andrejko48 hi there! Peugeot considered 283mm to be enough for the Gti180... So yes, in essence. The issue I find is people don't service them and fit the cheapest of pads which creates many issues including poorly performing brakes.
Thanks for watching and commenting 🐷💪
