The nighttime can be dangerous in the woods, I once saw two people going at it in the forest. When the dude spotted me he made a b-line towards me like a madman, I was only able to outrun him since I think he took off his shoes so he couldn't run very fast in the trail. I'd say that's one hell of a suspicious activity.. I felt like if he caught up to me he'd straight up strangle me to death.
This is one of the few times in recent memory where I have actually been startled by a piece of media. The kind of analogue feeling to it, the mystique of the vast wood parks of the Pacific Northwest. Lit campfires in the night and 90s camper vans driving in the dusk. It all gives a feeling of a summer road trip story from like some Reddit thread which seems to be blatantly false, but you never truly know. Great stuff!

The presentation in this game was very good, from how it looks to the pacing of the events .. but the end being a silly chase from a random cult dude was a bit of a let down. It would have worked better if it had implied more about why this man is dangerous though it only takes one lone whacko with a knife to stab you to death.

It was also a major disappointment to me, as rayll stated in development before the release that "this will be the longest and most ambitious episode". but it was really just as long as carson house and not 2 hours long as it says in the game at all. Still the episode delivered and yet another solid edition, still not a single episode has missed in the fears to fathom series.

This chapter sets up so many things, but the cult plot is the only thing that has any meaningful reveal. What was the whistling about? Who was Silus? What was with your RV's bathroom? What was the trooper not telling you? Why do you eat in your bed? All these things are spooky, but they don't lead up to anything.
If you pieced things together you’d know that the whistling is the cultists, and Silas is a cultists member, and the guy from inside the diner with the shovel was a cultist and intentionally screwed with your bathroom, and the trooper is working with the cultists, and “eating in bed” is just a personal choice of Jack Nelson, they aren’t meant to lead to anything but are rather meant to be connected together.

This chapter sets up so many things, but the cult plot is the only thing that has any meaningful reveal. What was the whistling about? Who was Silus? What was with your RV's bathroom? What was the trooper not telling you? Why do you eat in your bed? All these things are spooky, but they don't lead up to anything.
If you pieced things together you’d know that the whistling is the cultists, and Silas is a cultists member, and the guy from inside the diner with the shovel was a cultist and intentionally screwed with your bathroom, and the trooper is working with the cultists, and “eating in bed” is just a personal choice of Jack Nelson, they aren’t meant to lead to anything but are rather meant to be connected together.
People like this are why big AAA titles need to spell out the story to the player as bluntly as possible
