@Simon Prevett Yes the 8s setup seems to be working just fine for him. Now that I have ordered one….my brains are going mach speed as to which components I am going to use…..but hey, thats part of the fun, right 😉

Absolutely beautiful! I now want to try a 6s Midi Evo 100 in a HSD F-16 and try to make it really light so it can go slow.
on concrete airstrip it is possible but on the grass forget it. To small wheels.
The paint job looks amazing and the sound just wow and you fly it like you have stolen it.

Question: the ESC used is suitable for 2-6S according the link in this video? You are running 8s on this esc? How do you measure the current?
Most of 6s ESC's on the market will work on 8s. I use FrSky FAS100S sensor with bridged whires like I explained in previous videos.

Good morning. I really like your videos, I learn a lot from them. I bought the Black Horse Viper 1.88m model, and I want to apply an automotive varnish to the fuselage to give it a glossy finish. The problem is that I'm afraid of applying the varnish and ruining the plastic that covered the fuselage.
I ask you, what brand or type of varnish you applied to the plane. Do you know if, when preparing the viper body for varnishing, it was necessary to sand the body for the varnish to adhere?

I can't stop watching this video :-). It's just so great! But one things puzzles me: the recommended EDF for this jet is 120mm, right? But then how can it fly so well with a 100mm EDF? I mean, I have a Freewing 90mm F16. But it will never fly with a 70mm in it. And how do you get it fit? I can imagine that you have a lot of space surrounding the EDF if it is that small?
The WeMoTec 100 edf is super light and has amazing efficiency so the plane actually gains on it. It is all about the quality of the drive not the size :) I flew this jet on 90mm too :) Check earlier videos..
@@EDFjetRC but take for example the jetfan 120mm pro, that thing along with the HET 800-68-685 can produce nearly 10kg of thrust on 12S. The Wemotec 100mm fan can produce 7kg of thrust at most with the HET 700-83-1080 while only being 235g lighter than the Jetfan 120. Is the weight saving enough to sacrifice 3kg of thrust? Or is it the efficiency that makes it so worth it? I’m looking to get as much performance as possible out of this model (as well as static thrust because my airfield is notoriously hard for EDF jets to takeoff from) so I’m wondering if I should go with a 120mm or 100mm EDF. Thanks.
Wojtek, I see you made an 8s battery. I think that's great because how do you do that with a 6s balance plug? Keep making these kinds of videos. I like the things you try. I am now flying with lion batteries thanks to your videos and I am also finishing a Viperjet XL.
Yes I switch now to 8s on all of my planes. I have ISDT Q8 chargers and 8s is just a little more power with the same charging hustle.

@@gerardbraakhuis97 Hello Gerard , i think Wojtek is using 8S balance leads , you can't buy those 8S leads via AMAZON , i use ISDT chargers P20 and P30 , both can charge to 8S LIPO/LiIon ... I have made alot off the 6S LiIon packs and fly with it in the AVANTI and i make me first 8S pack a couple days ago , YES also for the BH VIPER , when you want , i will send you the STL. files that i have ... just let me know ... PS : we kunnen ook nederlands spreken/praten tegen elkaar ?

I bought a J.P. Hobbies 90 mm edf unit all aluminum, absolutely gorgeous unit but it is horribly inefficient !!! Jp get you stuff together 390 for an edf that is worse than the original 90mm that came with the plane !!☹️. Please let us know your new set up it really helps us looking to get a new setup as all this amp , draw, efficiency stuff can get overwhelming… thanks for the vids really appreciate them . 👍👍
