All our babies are DISEASE TESTED negative for Polyomavirus (PVD), Avian Borna virus (ABV), Proventricular Dilatation Disease (PDD), Psittacine Beak and Feather Disease (PBFD), and Chlamydia psittaci. This is extremely important when choosing a lifelong family member. We provide paperwork with every bird we sell.

I raised my Hahn's macaw from 8 weeks old. My heart, pride and joy. Their other name is Red-Shoulder Macaw. They are the smallest of the 5 mini macaw breeds.
You are so blessed to have gotten a hahns baby. I had a pair of hahns for years, they would lay eggs but never fertile. I sold them a few years ago as an egg laying pair for $1500 and literally had the ad up for 1 hour and they were sold. Had a flood of people contact me about them before I could get the ad down. These guys are really hard to find now. Thank you for breeding them and helping to keep their numbers up. I can tell you love your birds by the way you handle them. Best wishes!!!

Hey how long takes you until ur Hahnâs Macaw is eating by himself ?
I have Hahnâs Macaw and he is almost 3 months and he still hand feeding
Yea around 3 months the baby should be eating by himself. Well again it all depends, every baby is different but it should not be any longer. The weaning process is not simple but you should cut back little by little the handfeeding so the baby should not be so dependent on only formula
what is the best adult age for hahns macaws to breed?
I donât have an exact hatch date of my pair, but what I was told & from how long I have them they might be around 7 years old.
What handfeeding mixture did u use for this hahns?
The mixture depends on what types of fruits I have available and i always vary the formula. The mixture can be of banana, papaya, apples, creamy peanut butter, chia seeds. Any type of fruits you can do puréed with.
