  • Near Philadelphia PA certified car appraiser Jason Phillips conducted a comprehensive pre purchase auto inspection for a distant buyer on this stainless steel top beauty . 300 auto appraisers nationwide, call for quote 800-301-3886.
This is one of just over 300 ever produced 1958 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz 365 Tripower 4 speed Hydromatic Caddys equipped with some unique features like polarized sun visors, auto back electric seats, magnetized shot glasses to sit on the flip lid of the glove box door, air conditioning, power windows and more.
Many wear aspects related to this car would suggest that the 57,000 miles may in fact be realistic. The older repaint and majority re-chrome on most trim shows well. The underbody is stable for a non-frame off car, with minimal decay. A largely original interior is in pleasant condition, similar to the underhood appearance. The test drive was cut short due to inclemate weather, but suggested that it drove and shifted as expected.

Yes, definitely a '58 Brougham. The rarest, most collectible of the '58s. My granddad bought one new in '58, paid on the order of $14,500 for his, kept it 10 years, passed it off to my older brother. Electric EVERYTHING! Black with the brushed stainless steel roof as seen in pic, 4-door suicides, body by Ghia.... Standard Caddy body parts not the same. Had rubber pressurized air cushions on all four corners, wore out after some years but provided SMOOTH ride. By comparison a loaded Rolls that year would sell for around $9,500. Funny thing, Granddad replaced it with a new '68 Eldo POS which he traded back in late '71 for one of the first of 50 '72 MB 350 SL's (450 SL M107) to enter the country. I have that MB now.

Hey! Its a 1958 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham. I own one my self in the same model year with only 27k miles originally. The made 304 examples in 1958 and 400 in 1957. Both modellyears costed $13.075 brand new

Thanks for correcting them -- saved me from having to. The Biarritz was the convertible. The Seville was the two door coupe.

How can someone appraise this car when they don't even know what the damn thing is?
This is a 1958 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham, which, at $13,074 when new, was around twice as much as the 1958 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz, which was a convertible and just another proven screwup here. The Eldorado Seville was the regular Eldorado 2-door hardtop and the Biarritz was the convertible. The Eldorado Brougham here was an extremely limited edition 4-door hardtop that was loaded with every conceivable option known to mankind standard - and that includes things like power trunk (open **and** close) and memory power seat (of which you mistook for air-suspension controls). It also came with a glovebox-turned-wet bar complete with 6 magnetic shot glasses/tumblers and an accessory kit in the rear center armrest that included things like a comb, vanity, custom stationary and a perfume atomizer.
The most obvious way to tell the difference between the nearly identical 1957 model and this 1958 model is under the hood: If it backed dual 4-bbl carbs, it's a 1957 - if it's a tri-power (three 2-bbl carbs) like this one, it's a 1958.

THE ultimate 1958 Caddy the one I want even over a 1959!!
Biarritz are all Eldorados right? Of course a convertible pushes the model over the top designwise and pricewise as well!! A gorgeous top in stainless steel is a nice plus in 1958!! Thanks for posting it!!

The car shown here is not an Eldorado Biarritz. It's an Eldorado Brougham. Huge difference there! Lol

When I tell people I used to ride around as a child in cars with no seat belts, let alone car seats they never looked inside a car like this.

This is the Executive Edition and it's very rare. I am lucky to have seen one in a car museum.

Not knowing the make of the car your showing does not instill one with confidence. And FWIW Biarritz is pronounced bee-a-ritz.

Typical used car salesman using hook words: very pleasant, nicely etc
Let the car sells itself. No need to embellish it with frivolous grandiose low down no good meaningless words.
