Mount Sigurd Hike, Squamish BC - September 2023

Ah, the Sigurd hike! It's a masterclass in the art of contradictions. First, there's that initial scramble that makes you question if you accidentally signed up for a ninja warrior course. Then, you're hit with the steepness, like trying to walk up a wall in clown shoes.
But hold on, it gets better! It's so long that even the trail markers have motivational quotes. So, aside from the first scramble, the sheer cliff you have to defy gravity on, and the never-ending journey that has its own dedicated soundtrack, it's basically a walk in the park. You'll emerge from this adventure with tales as epic as the hike itself!

Another incredible journey with your amazing Formosan. A mountain dog after all! Though some parts did make me nervous :) I used to take long hikes a lot more with my Formosan Boo. She is 11 now slows down a lot. She can no longer do strenuous hikes. I cherished those mountain days with her, but our current daily neighborhood walks also. They grow old fast. Thank you for taking us with you vicariously. Time with our pups is precious.

Nice to know about other people taking their fmd on hikes. They are very capable dogs. I will be sad when she won't be able to do it anymore. She is 6 now so probably a few more good years. Glad you enjoyed my video.
