- High in the San Juan Mountains above Silverton, Colorado, a pack of runners roam. Together they traverse mountain meadows and navigate mineral-stained peaks through the rugged landscape of their backyard. The Braford-Lefebvre family chose to live here in order to raise their family wild. Through hard times and the best ones, running is their tool for experiencing life together.

My wife and I just lost our twin babies last summer. I'd been dreaming of pushing them together in a stroller on my runs. I'm still learning to grieve and this film hits home in so many places. I'm currently whiskey drunk right now watching this. But I'm happy to say I ran my first three miles tonight for the first time in many months. I'm trying to watch running channels to motivate myself again because none of us are getting younger. I promised my babies Kendi and Arya, the day they passed May 20 , 2021 that I would run a marathon for them since they fought so hard. The pain of a marathon is nothing compared to the pain they battled every day for two weeks. This episode just reaffirmed that I need to keep moving forward. We are trying again to start our family and I look forward to the day I can run with my child or children. That young buck said "Maybe running saved 'em." Running saves many of us.
♡
You got this brother 💪🏽do it for them, do it for You…
Because THEY are apart of YOU ❤️
A year on I hope you've continued to make them proud
Keep going!
Seems that many ultra-endurance runners are running AWAY from something - whether it’s substance abuse, or other demon. This family is running to be TOGETHER. This is an awesome story. Well done Patagonia, well done.
Great story of how a positive addiction triumphed over a negative addiction and saved a family and a marriage.
yeah, but his running form is awful. she should still leave him.
I met these folks at a race recently... totally genuine people... amazing to see them in my youtube feed!
"Perseverance is a lost art" Well said.
dependence on outdoors verses alcohol, a winning choice all of humanity ... support trail maintenance in your area thank you Patagonia
How wonderful. What an awesome gang.
Scenery is to die for. My whole body hurts from not living in the mountains.
Do it.
Brought tears to my eyes.
What a wonderful family.
I see your game Patagonia no micro puff down jacket will bring me this perfect family though.
Running is therapy. It has saved members of my family
@@victorbieniek2931 but not the jacket...the jacket is not therapy.
You missed the point. Watch it again. The pursuit of 'stuff' is never going to give long term warmth & sustenance.
@@GoodMorning-uz4xz agreed. Consumerism is the antithesis of therapy
The jacket represents the brand, the brand represents an ethos. You support the company ethos by supporting the brand.
This is literally my dream for the kind of family I want. Thanks for putting this video together! And thanks to this family for your vulnerability! You give me hope.
Honestly made me tear up because my family has never been close at all and it made me see that I can make things different for my own kids & family someday, and make our reality what we want it to be
@@andrewkepson2051 exactly. We can’t help what we are surrounded by as we grew up, but when we finally get the chance to make other beings surrounded by the growing things around them (meaning, our kids would only know their parents surroundings and what they do to them and experience them to.) we can allow them to see things and make them want to live a beautiful life like this.
Touching story. The mountains bring people together...
I have been thinking of trail running for a while now. I started this video, got 8 minutes into it before I threw on my gear and went and did my first outdoor run in a long time. Thank you.
Wow, the faces of these kids tell all there is to know. Beautiful.
Yep a lot of inbreeding in this family family for sure
Love it! My wife and I first bonded over running in the mountains, and we were in Silverton the day my son was conceived. We share similar stories, goals, and hurdles. This brought tears to my eyes. Kudos, Ivy and Cody! Perhaps we'll meet you on trail someday.

That was warming

excelente
I predict that this amazing little girl in this family will be the next Anna Frost !
Genuine and extraordinary! Who was the artist? Music?!
When this first started playing I honestly wasn’t going to watch...
I am subscribed to this channel because I believe in what the company stands for .. read the founders book Let My People Go Surfing awhile back...that said
When the telling of the story began I’m thinking here we go another idyllic pretend picture perfect family blah blah.. nauseating.... in Colorado no less.. we know CO’s history..
Because it’s Patagonia I thought give it a sec and let the story play ..
Thanks for choosing a family that is not into pretend .. they’re real ...have hit rock bottom and lived to tell and willing to share ...to be vulnerable.. thank you ...
