As per another comment, Husam Zomlot MUST be given the Noble Peace Prize. He has been tirelessly working for the peace cause and a champion for the Palestinian people.
I am a white, middle aged, southern, American woman and I can tell you that although I knew about the conflict vaguely I never really understood it. When the Oct7 attack happened I was stunned like so many people. But I asked myself WHY? Why would they do that? Why did it happen? So I set about the past 4 months everyday that is is going on- watching documentaries and reading about this conflict. Realizing that many reports and literature would have its own viewpoints and bias.
I wanted you to know that even I can see that this is genocide, occupation and complete racial discrimination of the 🇵🇸people.
I’m just sorry that it took me so long to educate myself. I cannot every forget the images I am seeing of these poor children and mother’s anguish, pain and humiliation and unspeakable deaths.
I really think that this horror is finally helping the world understand and see what this really is.

Aviv Ezra is the ONLY israeli states person who makes any sense to me - he appears quite sane! I would push back at him however when he says they want a gaza who cannot threaten israel - well that requires being NICE TO YOUR NEIGHBOURS, gaining their TRUST, keeping it long term. All other states find a way to do this in one way or another, so israel should put on its big boy pants and get along like everybody else does.
