I would LOVE if this has the tone of Ready or Not. Lots of wild violence. Looks like Abigail herself might actually be really scary! Fingers crossed. Thanks for bringing this to my attention! 10/10 fricheks
This trailer has got me excited the way the trailer looks it has serious hammer movie vibes from it the way it was shot and right down to the casting from Dan Stevens to Alisha Weir speaking of from what little of we see of her in the trailer Alisha Weir is terrifying in it she has serious Sissy Spacek vibes to her in this
When my son told me that this wouldn't be a remake of the original and would be dealing with a child, I really was bummed and figured I'd skip it till it hit streaming. But seeing the trailer has me super pumped! I loved Renfield and I think this will have those same notes and vibes. We just watched this and both agree that we have to see it in the theatre, and Abigail looks like she's going to be the scariest vampire child since the little girl in 30 Days of Night. Great reaction!
This trailer does make me want to watch the movie, the actress was great in Matilda & I did notice the same things about it that you did, Swan Lake, the Nosferatuesq look to her & I did like the acknowledgement that the kidnappers know about vampires, but only from recent popular culture
I suspect Dracula being her father will be revealed at some point in the movie. Technically it was never said that Dracula only had one daughter, was it? Maybe the movie will end wjth Zaleska and Alucard coming to pick her up.
They always choose those cute innocent looking girls for horror lol Daveigh Chase who played Lilo from Lilo and Stitch was casted as Samara for probably the same reason
I do plan on seeing it too. But I think that Van Helsing and The Wolfman (2010) felt more like the Universal Monster movies in spirit than this, and the people who directed those movies had a love for the old movies. I'm holding out more hope for Wolf Man (2024).
I saw Abigail last week. It was tremendously entertaining and funny. As for Abigail's history and other surprises... See the movie. There were some interesting twists. 😏
I just like this concept because it sorta feels like tucker and tale vs evil but its that concept where yk its a big misunderstanding of like yk ur going in doing the job the man gave the group to do but you find out that its not what u think and its an actual trap but you don't think this little girl who there supposed to kidnap is actually a vampire
I'm going to see it Thursday. Looks good not great. I'm just excited how it's based-on Dracula's Daughter but it will be different than the original of course. I liked Melissa Barrea in the new Scream movies.
Looks fun! I was a big fan of 'Ready or Not' but I wasn't of the 'Invisible Man' remake because it was nowhere near as brilliant as the book or the original directed by James Whale. If it's inspired by 'Dracula's Daughter' then I'm totally down but I do have a problem with calling it that and no Papa Drac in the picture.
The more I think about the trailer, the more I realize it's best NOT to think about it as Dracula's Daughter, and to just be excited for a new, fun vampire movie. Unless there are some surprises in the film that weren't in the trailer, I can't see there being much that makes it, "Dracula's Daughter." Although, now I'm thinking about the beginning of the trailer when it said her dad was some billionaire. I wonder if he'll make an appearance as Dracula...
@@AntoniaCarlotta It'd be sweet if Luke Evans came in at the end, reprising his Dracula role! Maybe he apologizes for his baby's behavior and thanks a survivor for entertaining her. I always thought Dracula Untold film/idea held further potential.
@@AntoniaCarlotta I would love you to do a video about trailers. I love them myself, but I have to admit they often give a false impression of the film itself. It's like they cram all the good bits together to give this wowee effect, & then when you see the picture, you realize that those slam-bang moments were stretched out over two hours with tons of boring talky stuff in between. I think there's actually a book on the art of the trailer, waiting to be written. By you, I hope! ✍🏻
@@h.calvert3165 WOW, what a great concept, but also what a giant undertaking! I would love to do this, but FIRST I have to finish my books on Carl Laemmle and Carla Laemmle!
I am picking up a fascinating Ransom of Red Chief vibe from this. Don't know if I will see it in the movie theater or at home, but I am definitely interested. (Despite not being a member of the younger generation.)
Is this connected to Demeter? Because the vampire make up looks awfully similar. Also, the dialogue sounds a little off. It's a little bit too basic and generic imo. The only one who doesn't sound like she was written by a 15 year old is Abigail.
Unfortunately it seems to be a movie for the young generation, which is fine, but I was hoping for more sincerity when it comes to adapting a classic subject. I'm afraid it's not going to be a good movie. I'm hoping Robert Eggers "Nosferatu" will be good.
Sigh…. I’m afraid Hollywood just doesn’t want to or can’t make a good classic horror film anymore. It is always horror/extreme action. That’s not scary. You have to scare the audience psychologically with suspense. The acting doesn’t look that great. I’ll still watch eventually The best I’ve seen is Marvel’s Werewolf by Night.
@@youmakemefeelspecial8079 but we do…YOU don’t get it. Have you ever watched a classic Universal horror movie? That’s what we want more of…not action films disguised as horror and no more-stupid-than-funny “comedy.”
Dracula has lots of daughters--Marya, Nadja, Lilith, Mavis, etc. Now we get Abigail. She seems fun.
Dang. All those kids😂
She definitely is lol
It looks great. I'm happy to see more vampire movies making their way back to the big screen.

I'm stoked, glad this is coming out💯
Abigail is " the daughter of a powerful underworld figure"
Geez I wonder who her father might be lol
It looks amazing! I’m seated
Good movie imo. It was a fun watch with a neat twist at the end
OMG! That's the girl that played Matilda 😯 I did not notice that until you pointed it out!

Great first reaction video! Just be yourself and people will love your reaction content. Well done! 👍👍
This looks so fun!! Plus, anything with Melissa Barrera in it, I try and see!
I don’t want to have my hopes up, but I think “Joey” might A: survive, and B: be turned into a vampire

I’m a big Horror movie fan and Yes I want to see Abigail on April 19th because, I’m a Vampire Fan🧛🧛🦇🦇🦇
just to let you know this is abigail draculas daughter he says she is the daughter of a powerful underworld figure in the synopsis which means dracula
It would be a face lift of the 1936 version.
Isn't Abigail like some rough hebrew translation to mean Father's Joy?
Thanks for the great review. I plan on going too. I would love to see your review of Lisa Frankenstein, directed by Zelda Williams
Absolutely! I'm hoping to go to an early screening so I can let you guys know sooner rather than later.

I feel like Giancarlo Esposito is going to turn out to be Dracula in a twist in the third act. Like he's hired them so she can kill them

А ты можешь если смотришь трейлер, не каждую миллисекунду паузу делать, а до конца досмотреть сперва.
This isn't the remake of the 1936 film.
I think we're going to get the classic kind of horror (with a twist) with the Nosferatu remake later this year
Ill be curious to see if Dracula shows up at the end
The more I think about it, the more I suspect her dad will be Dracula.
I think with horror you go straight for the Jugular or go comedy otherwise it's a bore . I really liked this trailer it looks like fun I'm in.

I saw the trailer, and there is no doubt in my mind the unnamed dad is Dracula himself. But that’s just a theory.
I'm pretty sure you're right.
@@AntoniaCarlotta Totally, since there are hints of the family being financially well off along with the fact Abigail was born a vampire.
