The reason cloyster came back is because its programmed into the game that if you release the only pokemon you have with a certain HM, it comes back to you as a softlock protection mechanism

That cloyster clutch was insane, like the run would have actually ENDED if not for that thunderbolt i was jumping out of my seat. Normally i find it boring to watch a one hour video but I was invested in this the whole time!

Tucker is the queen of Kaizo. Nobody expected her to win but proved us wrong. Was great to watch the streams live.
You cannot make up that level of storytelling with Cloyster. Refusing to leave, showing up in the needed hour to heal you and give you a power boost, saving you from certain doom... Astounding. The accidental storytelling going on is phenomenal and the whole video was worth the watch just for that moment alone.

finally, kaizo time, The Cloyster arc in this run has to be one of the most important moments.
The honor that I feel having the name of a Pokémon you named is enormous. I’ve been watching Pokémon let’s plays for years and never thought this day would come, and not only did the day finally come, but it came because of one of my all time favorite PokeTubers
The bit with Cloyster at the very end made me emotional. Kudos to you, Tucker, and Cloyster for paving the way to victory ❤
Man that Cloyster was a real goat, truly the real hero of this story, I've never gotten so emotional for a pokemon run before.

You can make an anime out of this Tucker and Cloyster relationship.
Tucker refuses to bring Cloyster with him because of the danger in the final battle, but Cloyster decided to help his friend even though it's against Tuckers will. So he infiltrated the enemy to fight against his friend tucker, who thaught he got betrayed by Cloyster. Tucker had no choice but to attack his old bud. the moment before the attack hits, Cloyster revealed his real intentions by healing Tucker to help him out in his last battle. to late for Tucker to stop his attack he killed his friend who sacrifices himself just to help his mate out on his last journey. What a legend...
I can just imagine Cloyster working to infiltrate Lance's team.
"So, Lance, this challenger who's coming for you? He's on a Kaizo Ironmon run and his Pokemon of choice is a Slowbro. I can outspeed it if you train me, just give me an Electric type move so we can hit it supereffectively."
"Why do you care, why do you know all this?"
"I was the guy's starter, the Slowbro was a pivot. I died every time that we entered double battles. I crave revenge, and what better way then to end his run at the finish line?"
"Sure, sounds good."
*maniacal grin, knowing that Lance will ignore Slowbro's other weaknesses because the Electric suggestion was implanted*
After battle:
Lance: "WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME IT HAD VOLT ABSORB?"
"I didn't know, it never came up before. That Slowbro coasts on stats alone most of the time." (Lying through teeth and pretending the Venomoth never happened) "You saw the earlier battle with God Ann, Thunder Waves hit it just fine."
Lance: "Oh, I see, your trainer came from the future where Volt Absorb does work on status moves, so you thought that interaction was indicative of the ability NOT being Volt Absorb. Fair enough, so how do you get revenge now?"
"I don't."
Cloyster was the starter who supported you all the way, even to the absolute end.
Even though you tried to release her, she refused. Even when you put her in the PC, she made her way out.
She knew she wasn't done just yet. She had one more task- even after helping you find a new ally, a strong ally, she knew that there was something she needed to do.
She was worried about you, and about Tucker- because there was danger at the end of the Elite Four.
So she wormed her way into the team of Lance, taking the place of the Cloyster he was supposed to have, and used a Thunderbolt, knowing the ability of the ally she had watched go so far.
And she smiled as Tucker continued, wishing her ally the best. She had fainted before, when cheering Tucker on through Double Battles. This was nothing new to her.
But she knew the stakes- if it was Tucker who fainted, all the effort would be for naught.
She could faint, knowing Tucker would survive. And Tucker did exactly that.
So as she returned to her spot in the PC, having been found out by Lance's team and escaping swiftly, she smiled once more.
Tucker had won, and as such, so had she. Maybe she wasn't the one shown as being in the Hall of Fame.
But she knew that wasn't what mattered. Tucker was her ally- and seeing Tucker win was a victory for her.
Congratulations to Patterrz, to Tucker, and to Cloyster for succeeding in the ultimate challenge, and overcoming hurdles beyond comprehension.
This run of yours was like an actually-written story. Like seriously, the tension, the Cloyster-related goodness, all of it. You kept me invested... for a whole-ass hour... on 1x speed. Have a sub, random channel I've never seen before.

I remember joining in when you got poisoned in Mt Moon. It was a huge dilemma because you thought it would take so much damage, to then take only a couple points of damage. I'm so glad it worked out for you.

This is similar to how I do my randomized nuzlockes, I did it before I even knew about Kaizo. I up opponents levels by 10-20%, random move sets, random stats, random abilities, and most importantly random TYPES. The only thing I keep normal is move types. I can't go back to normal nuzlockes.. the RNG in these runs are addicting.
This was SO good. I had to stop cleaning halfway through this video- the passion and excitement in your voice really caught me. And yes I absolutely cried during the Cloyster moments and the ending 😭
