Hi, Yes, this is the original MediaNAV and this is the official installation method for the original supplied rear view camera. Actually there were two MediaNAV models for this Duster model (H79): - The older one and the installation is made as shown in this video: Red to pin 2 and black to ground; - And the MediaNAV Evolution that require a different set of connections where all the Camera wires are connected to the MediaNAV and ONLY if the unit is not supplied with reverse signal, a connection is made between that pin 2 from the rear right connector and the MediaNAV. Also this type require a 6V camera. You can identify your MediaNAV type as follow: Engage the reverse gear --> the display switches to the rear camera --> get the reverse off --> if the MediaNAV is displaying the rear camera for the additional 7 seconds after the reverse gear was switched off, you got the MediaNAV Evolution.

At Dacia, the colors can vary from one batch to another, that's why it's best to check them yourself. Remove the connector, and you will see that their numbering is written right on the connector. Good luck!

There is two different cameras for this car: 8201575710 it is a 12V camera (first revision) and 8201675481 which it is a 6V camera that fits to Medianav Evolution. Please be very careful which one you have because it got different install guides. You should be able to find those install guides on www.tech-accessoires.renault.com/ Cheers!
Hi. There's Reverse on pin 2 and Ground on pin 3 from right rear stop light connector. But be careful! If you have MediaNAV Evolution on your car, the image will stay ON for another 6 or 7 seconds AFTER you disengage the reverse gear. That will generate a black screen for that period of time with a reverse camera error message: "Rear View camera damaged or not present." For that case you will need the following camera, Dacia reference: 8201675481. Cheers!
With an aftermarket camera you will have the following situation: - Reverse ON --> the MediaNAV will switch to reverse camera - all good! - Reverse OFF --> camera shuts off, but on the MediaNAV will be displayed for 6-7 seconds a black image with the error I've told you about - not so good. - After that period of time the MediaNAV will display the media screen you had previous switching the reverse ON. The OEM camera will stay ON for the entire time that MediaNAV will have the image switched to reverse camera. Yes it is the only camera that solve this problem.

Hi, Actually the wires stops somewhere in a connector down in the left B pillar. But, you have to know, that the correct installation in to remove the oem camera pins from MediaNav connector and to insert the ones supplied with the Camera. i just jammed mine out under the rear light group. no drilling just bodging :)

What multimedia would you recommend? I don't have any in my Duster, so if I was to mount a rear camera, I would also need to get multimedia first.
A dedicated one would be recommended, but do not choose a cheap one :).

Yes, this is the original MediaNAV and this is the official installation method for the original supplied rear view camera.

You can buy this camera from any Dacia/ Renault dealership. The camera is an OEM product.
But dacia say this cannot be bought from them it has to be factory fitted
