I don't believe it's the end either, not only because of the way Tyler said "does this sound like the end to you" on the live release, but also because of the very end shot in Clancy's eyes and what sounded like the intro for another song.
It's worth mentioning too that when Blurryface/Nico said so few, so proud, so emotional it's a mirror stance on the words used in "Fairly Local", adding to that hello Clancy and not goodbye, it's leaving it wide open for either a bonus 14th track or another album.🤞🏻😅
“The Few, The Proud, The Emotional” goes all the way back to Fairly Local (one of my favorites!!) which is the first appearance of Blurryface. FPE refers to the Banditos. Nico says it in a mocking manner, but he often underestimates the collective power of Tyler and the Banditos. The “FPE” pops up in many videos in every era. It was on the convenience store in Backslide as “fuel, petrol, etc”
In the Clancy livestream, Tyler hinted that this might not be the end. But naturally he remains cryptic. The only tweet he made today was about seeing us at a show 🤔 so it’s possible (and likely) that there will be more lore incorporated into this tour.
There are others who think that this is it and it’s a cycle. But Tyler has learned how to weild power over Nico. He isn’t the same person he was in Heavydirtysoul, Jumpsuit, Levitate, etc. So that theory isn’t as believable.
I think the key is the fact that Tyler was able to break Nico’s chokehold on him. He stared straight at Nico in that final shot. He didn’t need the Banditos to help him break the spell like he did in Jumpsuit.
That theory makes sense in terms of Nico representing Tyler’s mental health struggles. It was unlikely that Tyler/Clancy would ever be able to completely defeat Blurryface. Just like you can rarely defeat depression and anxiety. And so much of the album demonstrates that Tyler is still struggling … backsliding, battling the demons at night, etc. But he’s come a long way, and perhaps now has the strength and the weapons to contain Nico’s power over him so that it isn’t as debilitating.
My other thought - which your comment triggered - is that it’s the Tyler on the cliff that is actually wielding the power. And that diminishes Nico’s grip over Clancy. So he only has limited jurisdiction over Tyler.
But the one thing we all agree …. This NEEDS to be a movie 🍿

I said that right after it ended... a film at the concerts! What he had said was, "After this album, there will be an epic battle and we will put a bow on the story."

I mean seriously, this kind of storyline and journey that TOP has taken all of us o.g. fans on, and the new fans on; is something that is absolutely genius and doesn’t happen hardly ever in music. They are so incredibly underrated and it’s mind blowing to me. Tyler’s mind is phenomenal! But his heart and Josh’s are even more impressive to me. They make their music for their fans, and that is so beautiful and needs to be recognized!!! ❤️👌🏽🙌🏽👏🏼
He finally faced his demonds instead of closing his eyes and run, he opens his eyes and sees Nico in the eyes for the first time because he is ready to move on and recognize his insecurities and problems

'So Few, So Proud, So Emotional is a call back to the album Blurryface. Specifically 'Fairly Local' where Tyler says...

He's referring to us, the clique...
It wouldn't be able to fit in a single movie it would have to be a trilogy or maybe four movie. But I think a trilogy would be able to fit the story
The first movie would be about dema, that society and setting up the Bishops and the neon gravestones and all the different pieces that come from that set. It would likely end with Tyler getting saved by the banditos. Movie 2 would be a tug of war between the bandidos and the Bishops as Tyler gets dragged back and forth and probably an introduction of Clancy as a character. Movie 3 would be more about Clancy then Tyler as he prepares to fight then leads the banditos to fight before having the climactic battle with Nico ending the movie
in the livestream of the video premiere the band posted the symbols: |- (incomplete logo which seem to suggest this is not the end of the story) and they referred to this as 'track 13' rather than the final song or video.
Theres theories that it will loop back to the beginning of it all somehow, because depression is an ongoing battle

Yeah, Ty literally bookends this vid - sitting on a cliff in the begginning and ending on a cliffhanger. There's def more to come. He confirmed today the final battle isnt during the shows. They serve as a flashback to remind us of why we fight right before we do. I think more will come either this month or in between this tour and the next. They always do 2 tours off each album cycle. So many clues pointing to more, but I really think one of the biggest is that this 10+ year story can't end with nico getting the last word. |-
All of us wasn't ready for the movie actually. Definitely this doesn't look like the final chapter, so waiting at least for the single.
I noticed two details.
The first one. It doesn't matter how many supportive friends you have in your life, but when time comes to face your own fears, only you could fight it by yourself. That's why I think Clancy goes alone, and the Torchbearer worries about him (just look at the shot when Josh turns and watch the tower).
And the second. The episode when Tyler finally got into the tower reminds me about the beggining of Guns for Hands music video when Tyler gave a mask to Josh and said: “They don't know it's you. You can take it off when you're ready.”
And just one fun observation: moving of camera is the same for me in the part of Tyler running through the sewage system and in the trees and thunder parts of Backslide music video.
When nico picks him up by the throat in" jumsuit" he grows his black aoind his neckand hands...this time it doesnt happrn

I dont think he can ever truly defeat Nico. BUT... I think he doesn't let Nico control him. Josh came running in the front door to help him, and they defeated Nico. Then we see Tyler and Josh walking into their home in the near future, and outside in a tree is a vulture with yellow eyes watching them! The End

The end is the reality of what Tyler is battling. There is no happy ending, unfortunately..
