I'm a little late on the lore but when Nico controls Clancy don't his eyes turn red? Maybe I misinterpreted the ending as Clancy fighting back by opening his eyes and they weren't red. Possibly breaking the cycle?

Actually the cycle is broken. Nico was trying to control Clancy again but as you can see when he opened his eyes, his eyes were brown. He built up the courage to look him dead in the eyes and he won because he didn’t let nico control him. Clancy is in complete control there

My theory: The rest of the bishops died. Only one left. who? Niko (aka blurryface, aka Tyler's alter ego or a bad part of his or everyone's mentality or personality). But this time, Tyler isn't seized or giving up. Rather, he learned how to cope(Getting out of pressure and opening the eyes). In fact, with the help of banditos (aka friends) all the knots are untied and life got better (8 of the bishops are gone), except that Tyler is now only facing his inner darkness (blurryface?), and the good news is that he won't give up anymore and has learned the way of competition and survival. will blurryface be completely destroyed? Or has Tyler learned the way to survive and move forward? I vote for the second option! Indeed, Yes the cycle repeats, but not like ever before. So, I won't be surprised if they tell me that the story is over and there is no new single or double-album.

I have a theory about more new music (ep, another full album, or one more song) that this music video sets up very nicely.
Of all of the major players in the saga, only one doesn’t have an album dedicated to them.
Clancy: Clancy
Tyler/Blurryface/Nico: Blurryface
Banditos: Trench
Bishops: Scaled and Icy
Josh/Torchbearer is the one who’sstory hasn’t been told.
The ending of this MV opens up the chance to show how Josh, The Torchbearer, supports and saves Clancy/Tyler.

i might be the only one who noticed this, but did you all hear that riser at the end? it could lead in to the first song of the story, we would have to figure out what song it is tho. it could also be apart of the deluxe, but we still dont really know if thats going to be an album or a single song. idk what do you guys think? I personally see that last clip of Clancy as fighting against Nico. If you look at the two smears in jumpsuit and paladin strait, it is clear in jumpsuit that Clancy gives in immediately, but in PS it looks like he is fighting. And the LOOK he gives Nico looks like he is about to kick his ass! I could be completely wrong but I think it shows the character development and him actively fighting back. The music swell before the cut off helps my theory I think. But either way, I think that this (supposed) ending is probably the best ending from a story standpoint. It follows the patterns and tugs at the heart strings. I love this band and Tyler’s story telling so much!!

It's something that no one cares about but I got anxious when he stopped the video right at the best part and missed the surprise of seeing Nico in that terrifying way.
I really hope this isn't the end of the story. I'm sure there are a lot of people saying that it is, but when Tyler hinted that this may not be the end of the story, it gave me hope that he has something more up his sleeve
You know honestly If this is the end I’m okay. This whole story is a cycle of getting better and then relapsing but trying again and again and failing again and again. I think the video for Paladin does a good job and symbolizing that. Like we go back to blurry face then through trench then sai and then clancy then repeat. It may not be a happy ending but not every story is. They made it real and realistic. Maybe when he says does this feel like the end he’s saying that in like a the cycle repeats itself and we’ll be back here getting better each time. Idk that’s just my take on Paladin and the albums as a whole.

New theory.. still shots show decoys. Overcompensate shows Tyler (clancy) taking over another body. He’s seeing through him.
The Clancy at the end held up by Nico is a decoy. Tyler is on the mountain controlling it all. He’s also in a different outfit.
The song morph “I’ll morph to someone else I’m just a ghost” and that it’s a defense mechanism mode. And “he told me I’m a copy”

i believe this music video subtly hinted at the purpose of the black paint on Clancy’s neck and hands. i think it’s possible that Clancy knew that if he “smeared” himself, the effect of Nico grabbing his throat would be useless, and it shows here. we know that in the Blurryface narrative the black paint resembles Tyler’s insecurities, and this sorta applies to the Trench narrative. Clancy came to terms with his insecurities and Nico kinda “enforcing” them (for lack of better term) no longer works.

Hey JL, my mom and I are huge tøp fans, and we were looking into the significance of the equation 120-95, as seen in the Clancy Digital Remains. I added up the songs from Self Titled, RAB, Vessel, Blurryface, Trench, SAI, and Unplugged. We also included cancer, heathens, LOC, Xmas saves the year, and the extra craving. With the addition of the 2 vessel songs, it adds up to 95. There are twenty five songs needed to fill the gap to 120. Clancy adds in 13. There are 12 songs left needed to fill it, which is why we think a double album may have 12 songs. Thank you! Fellow clikkies, help him see this!

I don’t think Clancy’s under the bishop’s control. When he opens his eyes, they aren’t red, which is what it looks like when he is in control. What I really think is going on there is: Clancy is staring at Nico about to fight him when the video ends.

this band deserves all the awards in the world. i've been their fan for 10 years and it's been incredible. There is no other band/artist like them and I will die on that hill. Nobody does it like twenty one pilots. I honestly have no words.
One thing I noticed about the MV for Paladin Strait is that the antler Clancy is holding in his left hand is missing a horn Spike. I think he cut it off to use it as a hidden dagger against Nico. And that Clancy's plan was to act vulnerable for a moment to get Nico's guard down. I'm calling it that he stabs Nico with his hidden blade right after the MV ends.
*Sooo I have questions:*
1. How did the Banditos get the Clancy mask/jacket?
2. How does the overcompensate mv come in place with this? Was that mv shot in dema? If so where are the citizens that they were teaching the lore to? Or who were the people in the mv?
Also, maybe Nico doesn't take control because Clancy already has the black paint on his neck? Before during Jumpsuit... Nico puts the black on his neck they he starts to follow.

So I think this is not the end because at the end of the I am Clancy video there was the piano chords and the synthy stuff which led to overcompensate and at the end of paladin we had a buildup on synth which could also lead to something else

Just wanted to say something. I got the ending of Paladin Strait (starting with the part after silence) and added Overcompensate to it. When Clancy was interrupted, I placed the start of the synths in Overcompensate, and had them slowly fade in. The result was surprising; they fit perfectly together. 'Hello Clancy, welcome back to Trench.' Personally, I think it is a loop. The riser (at the end of this music video) fits perfectly with the riser just before the first 'Welcome Back to Trench.'
Really though. Could this be a coincidence? I don't think so. It literally works together flawlessly and sounds like one song.

Here's my dart in the dark: Clancy Ultimate Chapter, October 25th. I looked at Clancy tour dates and noticed a big gap between October and November. It's possible they're gonna release a song in that time, the song that was definitely teased at the end of the video. October 25th is the only Friday 25th this year, and (if you squint) pretty close to Trench's 6th bday. I know singles don't come out on Fridays so maybe EP? I don't personally subscribe to EP theory, and I definitely don't subscribe to double album theory. It's possible, but is it plausible?
What if the plan was to clear the playing field. One bishop and one Clancy with bandito ties. Only two know what happened in the tower. The neon gravestones have fallen so on the ground things look good. Clancy comes down and says all good. Except he's being controlled.

Ok re watching the video i just had an epiphany. So in the writings of clancy it seems to be there are 2 Clancies. One which is tlyer and the other who isnt. I wonder if this is really the end because Clancy gives in and the cycle repeats. This time we see him become a vessel for blurryface like we can see in some of the blurryface music videos. Then a nw clancy rises up and rebels and the cycle repeats. Just a weird little theory.
