This is good - thanks! Would like to see a battle report myself. I'm starting up Dwarves - would like to know how slower armies can deal with faster ones. Initial charges are so important in this game.
I'd love to do battle reports but it's definitely hard when we can't get together. I may have someone I can film with and will be working on it tomorrow.
yes, this page in the book is super confusing. Has to be a better way of explaining how this works. Thanks for the help. Using this I'll be making up some lists this week.
Large Infantry/Monstrous Infantry Hordes/Legions allowes more monsters in a sense, since they unlock a slot for both Monsters and Titans. Infantry/Heavy Infantry only unlocks Monster or Titan.
I believe large cav and large infantry hordes can't unlock 2 of the same type i.e. Heroes. Otherwise it's a great video for new players and makes it easier to understand.

what was that video game/program you were using? is there a way to learn and/or play kings of war online like with table top simulator or whatever that was?
This is Universal Battle 2. It's a web based program that will allow you to play and lots of people looking for games right now. Check out the channel Hobby Sauce for a great tutorial on how to use it.

If you take a regiment can you take just a hero/monster/titan/war engine or must you also take the two troops too?
You can take just the H/M/W. Nothing is necessary to take that you unlock. It's all optional.
So have you all ever thought of making a Download where people can DL and make their own movement trays that are correct size. That i can cut out and lays down onto what i turn into a movement tray.
The table at the front of the rulebook will let you measure the square mm for unit bases.
A lot of MDF cutters will cater for Kings, too.
@@Wombats555 True but haveing a sheet you can print out with these measurments set would be a BIG help. I suck at measuring and that would just make it so easy.
When I got into the game, people told me to go to Kings of war ALN to build my list, so I did. But I tried Easy Army and it gives different stats, points and abilities.
Which one should I trust?

Battle report please
So what if every unit I take is a regiment? Is there a downside to big units?
Nope, not at all! Totally okay to do. Except for Large Infantry and Large Cavalry regiments. Those types don't unlock.
can you take a unit from a different army list as an ally? If so how does it work?
As long as the unit is not irregular (marked with an *) and you've matched your alignment (good-good, good-neutral) you can take an unlocking unit into your army as an allied unit. These units can be taken up to 25% of your points total and must follow all of the same rules for unlocking that you'd do in building a force. The allied units don't benefit from inspiring or friendly spells from the main factions and vice versa. They also cannot take magical artifacts.

Easy Army doesn’t let you add two heroes with large infantry hordes.
I got this part wrong. My apologies. You're given two choices but they can't be the same choice.
