    Worked at Dunkin Donuts. Baking at night.
    I came down with the symptoms of fever (99.8 with 1000 mg of tylenol)
    Vomiting, harder to breathe and some body shakes.
    I told my manager and asked the process. I was then told, "as long as you're not licking the donuts we should be good." And to come in . And of course to other employees we'd hear, "you can be replaced."
    This is all within the last 90 days during 100 % covid-19 time.
    Putting others at risk is insane, so I had to quit. Like that is morally wrong, the greed is unreal and our manager did not care one bit.
    So again, me a sick person would be making your food. That is how much corporations care about you.

      Even when you are asymptomatic and test positive you very rarely spread the virus. Still you are added to the sum. Fear mongoring. It is crazy all the testing. With the influenza the flu they do not do testing like this. Imagine they did how many would be positive. And the common flu kills thousands of people. Did anyone ever care then?
      O and drs and nurses are layed off when they speak out about empty hospitals cause it goes against the plan. Know this as a fact.

    • @eaqua56
      @eaqua56 Před 3 lety

      @@LV-xt4yo Testing is supposed to, especially in the era of a novel virus, trace those infected and prevent spreading. The problem is, towards the beginning there weren't enough tests, people were not social distancing, quarantining themselves, and wearing masks. A lot of healthcare workers are risking their lives disproportionately for something that should've been preventable. Since the flu is not new, and hospitals were well prepared (PPE) for it, it has not posed a problem. Shortage of PPE (again look to why there was a shortage) has been terrible for the American health system as well.

    • @michaeldeierhoi4096
      @michaeldeierhoi4096 Před 3 lety +1

      @@LV-xt4yo Make no mistake on this point!! This pandemic is hard to deal with. It has overwhelmed hospital staff a few months ago and now it is again particularly in the southern and western states. Here are few specific observations.
      You are making a false comparison with the flu and the covid virus. In the first place there is no vaccine for covid while there is for the flu. The flu vaccine is far from perfect but it does reduce the mortality every year.
      The flu kills maybe 30 to 60,000 people per year and usually only in the 5-6 colder months. The covid pandemic has killed 140,000 officially. And many countless more died at home and elsewhere that were never tested. And here we are mid-summer and the death rate from covid is increasing BECAUSE the infection rate is increasing so fast.
      Testing must be aggressive to identify and quarantine those who test positive otherwise the virus would run out of control and vulnerable people are even more threatened with illness and death. The virus IS out of control in several states now especially Texas and Florida because those states reopened too early back in early May and now these states are seeing over 10,000 new cases per day!!

    • @michaeldeierhoi4096
      @michaeldeierhoi4096 Před 3 lety

      @@LV-xt4yo Here is one point to consider. You state that even a person who is asymptomatic spreads the virus rarely. But what does rarely mean empirically when we are talking rate of disease spread?? Here is what the epidemiology says about that.
      The Reproductive Rate defines how likely a person in a given state will spread the virus. A person with an R number of 1 would on average spread the virus to one other person. This would result in the virus not expanding nor contracting. So a R number less then 1 is best, because then the virus contracts to zero, but the higher above 1 that the R number is the more people that person will spread the virus to.
      A difference of 1 vs 1.5 is actually a big dif in the spread rate because when you have thousand of people who are positive, but don't know it they could spread the virus to 1500 people thus dramatically spreading the virus.

    So on what day did your ability to smell return? Why was your quarantine time only 10 days, when we are repeatedly told 14? Why aren’t health care workers re-tested before returning to work and shouldn’t they be tested periodically since they are surrounded by this virus? Our DHEC Dr. a few weeks into this pandemic said contact tracing would be to time consuming, now we are a hotspot and the news station is reporting that those who have tested positive have never heard from DHEC contact tracers. I wonder are other states handling this more professionally or are we all going to be dead within 6 months?This Governor is adamant he is Not shutting anything down, follow the rules is what he says. Will not make wearing a masks mandatory, that per him is up to each municipality and enforcing, not enough manpower. Well we would not be a hotspot if the rules were followed! At this point survival of the pandemic is roll the dice and may lady luck be on your side. The government has failed us!

    • @ellea1449
      @ellea1449 Před 3 lety +1

      The governments of the US and the UK have most certainly failed us. We have the same issues here with contact tracers. It all suggests our governments simply want the virus to spread through the population, despite the deaths. We are told by scientists that symptomatic patients must isolate for a minimum 10 days, extended on the continuation of symptoms. However, in the UK, this is only 7 days before people are allowed to end isolation and go on to infect more people.

    • @gregg5958
      @gregg5958 Před 3 lety +2

      It’s out of control, that’s why there isn’t contact tracing being done. When a state is getting 5000 or even 9000 cases per DAY, how can that be tracked? We would have to have an army of people. The volume of cases is just coming in too fast and too exponentially. There’s not even time to train people and ramp up things now. It’s horrible. All because we didn’t avoid Italy’s example. So very stupid of us.
