A LOT of math and statistics courses. If you want to get the exam certifications from the 2 US actuary associations here, the ASA and the FSA, it'll take about 7-10 years after graduating from a degree in actuarial science, statistics, mathematics, etc. because the ASA/FSA exams are really that hard. Harder than the CPA and Lawyer Bar Exam because of the complicated advanced mathematics and statistics involved. The benefits of being an actuary is that it pays very well (get an ASA and you can get paid 6 digits) and it's also one of the least stressful jobs there is, mainly working in either finance or insurance. It's also something that allows for hybrid or remote work, so if you value the ability to travel and such, depending on the company policies in regards to location in regards to remote work, you could travel all around the country and the world while making 6 digits.
Quick correction: to become an Actuary, you don't need a degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, etc. They just help you prepare. As long as you have a bachelor's (even if it's something completely unrelated like Philosophy or Music) and you do enough studying of the advanced mathematics and statistics, you can take the series of tests for becoming an actuary. Once you get the beginner 2-3 exams out of the way, no employer is going to care what your bachelor was.
@@GoogleUser-vh5qn BTW it depends how much patience you have but in terms of job settlement and early earnings Actuarial science is more preferable than CA for me

4+4 massive conclusion. All the best.

That’s cool that you can wear jeans to work.
I wouldn't feel smart and motivated if I don't dress officially
Sir i have doubt is it compulsory to keep maths as compulsory subject in 12th for actuarial science or can i keep maths additional as well
You need Maths all the way my friend
Dude maths is everything for actuarial science. Pure maths is compulsory. Further maths can be optional for some unis.
