These are perfect for chains that are too small to go through a bail (hole). You can add the lobster clasp to the end by using the connectors.
Do you have a video where I can attach a clam tip to bead work I am having difficulty with this
We do not. Thanks so much for the suggestion.
I am trying to figure out how to add one of these to a beaded sucatcher angel I made with ball chain however, I cannot figure out how to do that. And no such luck finding a video on it. Do I need to add a crimp bead before adding the clam shell crimp or at all? It doesn't stay without a crimp. I'm clueless how else to end these angels so that I can hang them. Normally I would just crimp it with some regular chain but I found these claw tip beads and wanted to use ball chain. Not sure how to add ball chain to anything then I found these things but still don't get it.
Ball chain connectors shouldn't usually need any help from crimps in order to fastened onto a chain. Is the problem that the cover of the connector is opening back up again and slipping off the ball you originally closed it over? The Nunn Design connectors we used in the video are fairly sturdy, but if your suncatcher is putting a lot of weight on the connection perhaps they need a bit of help. What about adding a strong adhesive? A thin cement like this G S Hypo cement might help the cover of the connector from being pulled open after you've closed it: beadaholique.com/products/g-s-hypo-cement-precise-applicator-essential
