I grew up in Kadıköy/İstanbul but now live in Ankara. You took me back to my childhood. Thanks a lot for all the love and excitement you poured over my hometown. By the way, "Moda" literally means "Fashion" which is the perfect name for that neighborhood.
Thank you for watching our video and sharing your thoughts. We are very happy that you enjoyed it. Do you recommend that we visit Ankara?
@@travelingexpatlife Ankara after İstanbul is... Well... Let me just say we call it "Memur Şehri (City of Public Employees)" ☺If you plan to visit central Anatolia I recommend Konya. It was the capital city of the Seljuk empire, the Turkish empire that ruled before Ottomans in 1200's. The city is like a time machine.
so cool! this is a great video
Thank you for watching. We are happy you liked it.
Kadiköy is wonderful and your right, it does remind me of Plovdiv (another beautiful city). Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts. Cheers!

Moda is my neighborhood since 1972
It’s a wonderful place. Thanks for watching our video. We hope you enjoyed it.
About your question at 10:00 mark: After a short disruption around the marina, the waterfront goes 40 or so more km's until it reaches the shipyard area next to Pendik. Halfway down in Maltepe there is even a larger park with many more attractions and sports facilities. I love cycling here.
Great information! Thanks for answering my question. Thanks for watching and sharing your knowledge of this wonderful city.
When you say”intestine” is wrong! It’s a medieval dish.I don’t know where you from though, you should know that it’s widely used in Europe too.
Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts. I was told by a friend who lives in Istanbul that it is an intestine sandwich, is that not correct? I know many cultures around the world eat intestines, but that’s not something I normally eat. Thanks again for watching.
