About this Antalya vlog:
When I got to Antalya, I wanted to shake things up and film everything backward. Even though this is an experimental travel vlog, it still captures Antalya's historical landmarks and beauty. In my newest Türkiye travel vlog, we get to see:
- Duden waterfalls
- Hidirlik Tower
- Hadrian's Gate
- Perge Ancient City
I also ate some local Turkish delicacies. While the Turkish cuisine wasn't specifically from Antalya, they're popular food choices across Turkey. Some of the Turkish treats I ate include:
- Adana kebab
- Kokoreç
- Sultan tea
- Yeni Raki
I hope you enjoy this reverse travel vlog!
About Perge Ancient City:
Perge, also known as Perga, is an ancient city nestled in the Antalya Province of Turkey. Its origins trace back to 1500 BC, when it was established by the Hittites. Over the centuries, it evolved into a thriving urban center in the region of Pamphylia. The city flourished during the Roman era, particularly from the 2nd to the 3rd century AD, thanks to its strategic position along the Cestrus River. Perge is renowned for its impressive ruins, which include a well-preserved theater, a vast stadium, a monumental gate, and colonnaded streets. The city also played a significant role in early Christianity; St. Paul visited Perge on his first missionary journey. The intricate mosaics, baths, and temples are a testament to the city's rich cultural and architectural heritage. Today, Perge stands as a prominent archaeological site, drawing visitors who are captivated by its historical significance and the remnants of its glorious past.
About Antalya tourism:
Antalya, a vibrant city on Turkey's southwestern coast, is a treasure trove of stunning Mediterranean scenery and rich history. It was established around 150 BC by the Attalid dynasty of Pergamon and quickly became a bustling port and cultural hub in the region. Today, Antalya is a top-notch tourist destination, celebrated for its fusion of natural beauty, historic sites, and modern amenities. The city boasts an impressive old town, Kaleiçi, with its narrow cobblestone streets, Ottoman-era houses, and the iconic Hadrian’s Gate. Antalya is also home to numerous ancient ruins, including the nearby cities of Perge, Aspendos, and Termessos. Its picturesque beaches, such as Konyaaltı and Lara, are a magnet for sun-seekers, while the surrounding Taurus Mountains offer a playground for hiking and adventure. With its mild climate, lively bazaars, and a vibrant cultural scene, Antalya seamlessly blends the charm of its historical past with the dynamism of contemporary urban life.

Hi, Travel Lord. Hi, Matt Damon’s young version:)
We used to have many German tourists around Antalya, that’s why locals may think you’re German. Funny though:) As you pointed out at the video Turks are extremely hospital people and all foreigners and all people of color are treated respectfully and kindly.
I like your Türkiye cap.
Enjoy your visiting our lands. Greetings from Ankara👋🏻
Hahaha thanks for the comment! Yes, everyone was very hospitable during my trip!
Hello, mate! I am the one who have your hat! Still safe, and still drunk!

Hi from London!
Hello! I hope you’re enjoying London!
you got a thumbs up for kokoreç, rakı and that hat 😀
Appreciate it! All made the trip great!
9:53 Google Maps doing a bit of trolling 😂
Since the castle is a bit different, I might've been in the castle already. It was hard to tell at that point.
There are a lot of golf hotels in Belek area , Antalya ❤
Oh that sounds fun!
You drink rakı wrongly, you need to take advice from a local to help you. Nice video.
What should I do next time?
@@TravelLordOnLoc you need to add less amount of rakı(approximately %20 or %15) and also you must use cold water and ice. Rakı is perfect with the turkish meze's. Try rakı with meze. Nice channel and nice videos love from turkey.
@@ozanbalasar9120 Good to know! When I watched it after I recorded it I thought I might've added too much hahaha
@@TravelLordOnLoc I realize that it must be so though and hard to drink :)
@@TravelLordOnLoc Yup, and since it is a strong drink, it can easily affect those who are not used to it. That's why it's better to drink little by little. That's why we generally like to drink rakı in fish or meat restaurants with plenty of meze's. It is more enjoyable to drink it slowly with your meal. ;=)
I think this video directed by Christopher Nolan 😀 Respect from Türkiye
That was the inspiration for the video! I thought it would be fun to try something new
@@TravelLordOnLocSure. You are right. I like it
@@Kedimiagul Good to know! Thanks!
22:26 😂
You won't see me on the ruins hahaha
First of all, i am sorry you lost your hat. There are many things that make New Raki taste better the first time you try it. I am glad you tried New things even if you git tried in the warm of Antalya.
I like the Raki hahaha I drank too much of it! Also my hat is safe so no worries
Where were your tangerines? It looks delicious
I ate them all very quickly haha
Have you been to Cunda Island? (Ayvalık-Balıkesir)
I have not but I’m going to put it on my list!
@@TravelLordOnLoc You should definitely go, even Assos (Ayvacık-Çanakkale) and Bozcada, Gökçeada islands (Aegean region). If you haven't been there yet, I recommend it. Although you know Turkey better than I do. Hope you enjoy your trip.
@@skyblue2929 Ok! I appreciate the suggestions!
24:15 and a cat 😹
There were a lot of cats out there...as usual
@@TravelLordOnLoc They are the saviour of our cities. Thanks to them we don't have a rat problem.
@@windmacky That's a good point!
Kemer Olimpos Phaselis e gitmelisin . Antalya Fethiye arası manzara çok güzel
Thanks for the recommendation! I’ll try to check it out later on
@@TravelLordOnLoc There is also Goynuk Canyon. I lived in Antalya Kemer for about ten years. I know that area very well. The nature between Antalya and Fethiye is very beautiful. Göynük Canyon, Kemer, Phaselis, Olymposs, Ulupınar Finike, Kaş, Kalkan. You should definitely see it. Eat fish in Ulupınar. They serve it on the river. There are many fish and meat restaurants in Ulupınar. On the way from Antalya to Mersin, Aspendos Side Alanya.... I currently live in Istanbul. If I was there. I would happily guide you. Have a nice trip and have fun
@@dilekasc8520 I appreciate the suggestions! I'll look into those

Antalya'yı çok seviyorum ama Muğla'ya aşığım.
It’s on my list! I will visit both when I return!
@@TravelLordOnLoc Muğla'nın koylarını gezmeni tavsiye ederim.
