Wonderful tour! Dan Brown is my favorite author. I really want to see those places someday. Side note: I wonder how many people throw away their ticket.
Thanks for watching and sharing your kind words. We’ve been able to visit two of Dan Brown’s featured buildings recently- this one in Rome and the Basilica Cistern in Istanbul.
This is one of your best videos yet! Very inspiring that you could do this on short notice! Having read all the Dan Brown books, the video brings his descriptions to life. Thank you for doing this!❤
Thanks for watching and for your kind comments. We’ve recently been able to visit two of the historic structures mentioned by Dan Brown. The Santa Maria Della Vittorio in Rome and the Basilica Cistern in Istanbul
Thanks for visiting Rome with us. We hope you enjoyed this quick visit to the Eternal City. Be sure to like, subscribe and leave a comment about your favorite part of Rome.
❤ Nice video! We’re heading to Rome before a cruise in October. Been there several times so we’ll just help our other travel companions see the sights. Glad to see the trains from the airport are nice and new. They use to be older commuters cars. I’ll follow your example and get out early for shots of the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain since it’ll be a short walk from our hotel. Keep up the great work.
Thanks for watching. Yes, the early morning is best in my opinion. I like to take photos and the lighting is better and fewer people. The trains were really fantastic, clean and punctual. Enjoy your trip in October. We were there for Christmas many years ago, but we’ve never been in the fall. Have fun!
Such a fun trip, so much walking tho lol❤️
Thanks for watching! Yes, a lot of walking. A lot of fun too.

Kadiköy is wonderful and your right, it does remind me of Plovdiv (another beautiful city). Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts. Cheers!
Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts. We will definitely try to find some real Bulgarian food the next time we visit.

Thank you very much! Thanks for watching and sharing your kind comment. We appreciate you! Have a great day!
Fun fact: There are no (as in: zero!) active landfills for household waste in Germany anymore.
I didn’t know that. Wow! That’s very interesting. What do they do with the trash? Even with all of the re-use and recycling ♻️ programs there still has to be some waste, right? Thanks for watching and sharing your knowledge.
@@travelingexpatlife The residual waste is incinerated and "thermally recycled", generating electricity and heat for district heating. The ash is melted into a glass- or lava-like substance, crushed and used for road pavement. There are now only active landfill sites for construction rubble (metal rebar and wood etc. already removed and recycled), but construction rubble is also increasingly being recycled as a substitute for sand and gravel in new concrete. This leaves only hazardous waste: biohazardous and some hazardous chemical waste is incinerated, and low-level radioactive waste (from cancer treatments and decommissioned nuclear power plants) is stored in disused salt mines. The highly radioactive waste is sealed in Castor casks and stored next to the nuclear power plant in question to allow it to cool for several decades before being stored in a yet-to-be-determined underground final storage facility.
@@hape3862 Great Information ! A very impressive waste management system. Thank you.
That would be a great way for families to teach young kids responsibility. They could keep up with the plastic recycling and keep the money when it is deposited in the machine.
Absolutely. It also helps keep the streets cleaner because a lot of people go around collecting all of the recyclable bottles and cans that are lying around. Thanks for watching.
As if you did not pay a pawn on the bottles you buy. What a stupid video
Brother maybe you should declare that you only get the money you paid on top back. Why are you spreading some bullshit?…
Who says he bought the bottles he turned in. Admittedly, it's seen as an income stream for homeless people, but there are actually people who get parts of their income by collecting discarded plastic bottles people didn't bother to turn in themselves
@@Arcanefungus he didn’t say that he bought them. But he basically said you get money for trash in germany. I mean come on… you know exactly what i mean
Is it really BS? Of course if you purchase a product in a recyclable bottle you will pay a deposit on that bottle. But you do realize that no matter where you live and no matter what type of product you purchase that you (the consumer) are paying for the packaging, right? At least with this system you get your money back (some of it anyway) if you bought the product and if you didn’t buy it, then yes, you are getting $ for trash. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts. Have a great day!

Very nice vlog .. Welcome to Turkey .. I want to share some historical notes about the fall of Byzantine Empire and the situation during that period of time.. Turks first enter to the Antolia after the Manzikert war (1071)against to Byzantine Empire . In that period of time Turkish Empire was Seljuk State which is located in todays Iran. After defeat to Byzantine Empire in Manzikert war (1071)in eastern Anatolia they also took surrender to Byzantine Emperor Romen Diyojen . After the war , Sultan of the Seljuk Empire, Alparslan ordered his commenders to conquer some locations in Anatolia and establish to their own Feudal States. First Feudal States were established by Turks in Anatolia : 1- Artuk State (Commender Artuk Bey -Mardin City) 2- Saltuk State (Commender Saltuk Bey- Erzurum City) 3- Çaka State (Commander Çaka Bey - İzmir) 4-Danişment State (Commander Danişment Ghazi, Sivas-Kayseri Cities ) 5- Mengücek State (Mengucek Ghazi , Sivas -Tokat Cities) 6- Anatolian Seljuks ( Süleiman Bey , İznik City ) - The most important Feudal Turkish State After Seljuk Empire collapsed in 1157 , These Feudal Turkish States started to fight each other ,Anatolian Seljuks conqured to Anatolia. In that period of time ,there were also a big conflict between Catholics and Orthodox christian world . Catholic crusade armies looted to Constantinople (In 1204 ) and they also defeated Anatolian Seljuks in İznik city and Anatolian Seljuks removed their capital to Konya city . Armenians in Antolia also was not happy with Byzantine State and in Eastern Anatolia ,they were ally with Feudal Turkic States. In 1243 , everything changed for Turks ,Armenians ,Byzantines in Anatolia.. Mongolian armies defeated to Anatolian Seljuks in Kosedag War (1243) and they conqured the Anatolia , they keep their power on Anatolia almost 60 years . When we came to year 1299 ,Mongolian terror started to fade away on Anatolia and Turks started to establish local small states almost every city in Anatolia. We call this period of time as The Second Beyliks Period .. One of these small Beylik(Feudal State) was Ottomans in İznik City. (Osman Bey ) - 1299 During this period of time, Anatolia and Balkans were totaly in disorder. Byzantines were fighting with Hungarians, Serbians ,Romanians ,Bulgarians and Turks were fighting with each other. Ottomans were actually fighting against to Byzantines but also sometimes they very ally with Byzantines against to Serbians ,Hungarians. For example Byzantine Emperor VI. İoannis gave his daughter Theodora Kantakuzini to 2nd Ottoman Sultan Orhan and also gave to Çimpe Castle in Gallipoli as a gift for Ottoman support. This gifted castle actually was the first land for the Turks in Balkan Territory .. In this period ,Byzantines were sometimes using the support of the Ottomans and some other Turkish beyliks as a shield against to Catholic armies in Balkan territories.. Inside of this mess , Ottomans slowly expanded their power on Anatolia also in Balkan area. They defeated some important Turkish Beyliks also they defeated Serbian ,Bosnian, Bulgarian armies. We must say that Ottomans also used diplomacy very well, they used domestic throne conflicts and used their support agaisnt to another one etc..They passed from that famous Thermopylae gates , conqured to all Greece then Bulgaria and Serbia. In year 1402 everything again changed for everyone in Anatolia.. With the support of the collapsed Turkish Beyliks who were defeated by Ottomans in Anatolia ; The Timur from Central Asia came to Anatolia and defated to Ottomans in Ankara war (1402) take surrender the Ottoman Sultan Bayezıd ..The collapsed small Turkish beyliks founded again and Ottomans lost their all territory in Balkans and Anatolia. 4 Brother of the Ottoman Dynasty started to make war each other for the throne for 15 years long.. This period of time called as The Fetret Period and 1.Mehmet defeated to his brothers and won the throne. Reestablished the state and take back the control of Anatolia and Balkan territories again in very short time. During this period ,Byzantine were also busy to domestic throne problems and the conflict with Catholic world .Byzantine Emperor was needed to support of the Ottomans and he supported to İsa against to other Ottoman Princes but İsa defeated by Mehmet and Ottomans again imposed duty on Byzantines. When we arrived to year 1453 , Sultan 1.Mehmet then his son Sultan 2.Murat came to throne and his grandson Sultan 2.Mehmet (Fatih Sultan Mehmet ) conqured most of the Anatolia and in west he reached to Bosnia . Byzantines was only a small state and even Greeks in Greece was not listening to their support calls ,only Venetians send support during the siege of Constantinople because they were face to face to lost their most important trading ports in Crimea and Constantinople for Mediternian Silk Road trade. In 1453 Fatih conqured to Constantinople ..
Wow! Great historical information. Thank you so much for watching our video and sharing your knowledge.
