- Greeting from Bacharach, Germany!
Today we're going to be visiting a town that is located in a scenic part of the Upper Middle Rhine Valley and part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The town fortifications from the 14th century are the best preserved in the Middle Rhine area and considered the hidden jewel of the Rhine river.
In today's tour, we will show you where to get the best panoramic views of Bacharach, stroll along the quaint and fairytale like village to appreciate the well preserved half-timbered buildings, enjoy the views from the Sentry Tower, admire the prominent red and white church in the center of town along with the Werner Chapel and Castle Stahleck as we hike along the golden vineyards.
In this video we're going to be sharing 7 best things to do in Bacharach during your visit. Enjoy!

2:58 "Wer an den Weg baut, hat viele Meister" = Who builds on the way has many masters. (Meaning you get advice from everyone passing, when you work in public.)
"Greif zum Becher, lass das Schelten! Die Welt ist blind. Sie fragt, was die Menschen gelten, nicht, was sie sind." = Reach for the cup, stop scolding! The world is blind. It asks what people are worth, not what they are.
3:02 "Wein und lustig Lied machen froh Gemüt" = Wine and funny song make a happy mind.
3:22 "Es wünsch mir einer, was er will, dem gebe Gott nochmal so viel." = Let someone wish me what he wants, God may grant him twice as much.
3:32 Gönne dir einen Augenblick der Stille und du begreifst, wie unsinnig du herumgehastet bist." = Allow yourself a moment of silence and you will realize how nonsensical you have been hustling around.

We visited Bacharach a couple of years ago. Was a nice day, walking the path through the wineyards to the tower and the ruins a bit higher, taking some pictures and having a Brotzeit. Also the town is quiet cosy, so we explored a lot of it. :)
Thanks for watching and sharing your comments.
Terrific video and description! Also, you have a great voice for narration. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much!
Our Indian prince friend Ishrad lived in Koblentz.
Near Frankfurt. When there, we visited wine part of Rhine river. Very beautiful little towns there and huge amount of old castles. A very nice boat or train trip.
Very nice. It is a very beautiful part of the world. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts.

Did you know that Charles Bukowski the writer was born in Bacharach?
He was born in Andernach not Bacharach
@@dannydorko7075 Was he?
I did not know that. Thanks for watching and sharing your knowledge.
Where were the people (like extinct)? 🤔
Oh no, I guess we just didn’t get them in our video.
Münze = mint
Thanks for watching and for the clarification.
Nice video, but how about trying to pronounce the town's name correctly? It's Bacharach, not Backarack.
Danke für die deutsche Aussprachehilfe. I’ve studied the language at least a little everyday for over 5 years now and I still don’t get it. Thanks for watching!
@@travelingexpatlife I admit German is a strange language with completely uncalled-for quirks.
Such bad video that has nothing to do with the title
Thanks for watching!
Oh, sehr deutsch. Erstmal kritisieren, anstatt sich über die schönen Bilder zu erfreuen.
Welchen content haben Sie eigentlich schon hier reingestellt? Und war das alles perfekt?
Bakarak? Sounds Arab...
No .. Celtic ... oder auch Keltisch ... Formaly known as Baccaracus
It’s a beautiful place. I suppose I should work on my German pronunciation. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts.
