I love that breed name. We had a dog who was, we assume, 1 percent of every breed. She became/made, the breed name "Abyssinian Goat Dog"!
This young man did amazingly for any 2 year old larger breed, never mind being half husky 😮 Kudos to him and to his humans for training him to be a very very calm and good boi.

At :55 he shows his weakness-the head scratch! Almost every dog who’s scared or nervous or relaxed or dogs seems to go into an “OOOOAAAA” mode when the head scratch happens! This is one ridiculously beautiful dog with a very cool name! 😊

@@QUICKBOOKS1 My Lab has multiple spots for sure! Head scratch, ear scratch, butt scratch, belly rub-it’s like he goes into a trance and gives a low growl almost like a purr. He’s not a fan of paws, though-he’s a puller when you try to inspect the paws.

@@tommyrq180 we used to call that low growly noise "umbling". our Sam boy grew up in a house full of cats, I really think he was trying to purr, best he could figure it out, cos he made that noise when he was getting head scritchies and belly rubs.

Makes sense considering their native climates of Alaska and Siberia. It's an evolved trait/adaptation so they don't freeze to death in the winter there.

@@ak-yr4dt acting like evolution has no part in selective breeding might be wrong. Had to get the templates one way or the other, and those would only crop up if environmentally necessary. We didn't just take one breed of wolf and shit thousand of different breeds out of thin air. It took thousands of years and many different environments.

Everyone says I’m crazy, but Alaskan malamute and Siberian husky mix is literally my dream dog. I think the stubbornness and screaming is adorable.
LMAO that last shot! Revenge for the multiple soakings? Shocked at how quiet he was, it really did make me wonder if he'd left himself on mute until he whined softly over the brushing. Kudos to his owners for such a well trained dog, he was even okay with you touching his paws.

The Void?
I loved how he looked right at you at 'no shaking' and proceeded to shake. Huskies and husky mixes do what they want! But except for that, he was a really good boy and he looks incredible after the hair is taken out.
Some owners teach their dog "shake" as a command, so they can tell the dog to shake, before coming inside, to towel dry after a rainy walk.. Those dogs wouldn't know what the "no" before the "shake"/"shaking" means in conjunction - so she, in his ears, might've actually ordered him to shake. 😅

My elementary school teacher had an alaskan husky that he brought in everyday. Never heard Calvin bark or howl and he just lounged around the class. We would sit next to him and practice reading out loud (sometimes hed drool on the book)
Calvin was also a Skijoring dog. He pulled his owner on cross country skis in races. Our teacher calvin pull us on skis after school as well. In class we learned how to put on his booties and harness and could practice when we had free time. Apparently at races he would get super hyper and excited, but in class he was just the best dog.
Not many dogs could put up with the shenanigans of 8-12 yo for so long and not many people would have so much trust in their dog and in their students. Calvin definitely taught us about respecting animals and help develop our reading skills.
That shot of him with fluff on his head got me.😂

I had a mix growing up. She had black spots above her eyes like eyebrows. She was wonderful and smart. I swear someone was training her when we were looking because she so easily learned the basic commands. She disappeared one day and we don’t what happened to her. 😢 She was the best dog my family ever had.

I was just thinking about how I always search out ASMR videos yet this channel relaxes me on par with some of the best ones. I have brutal adhd, this provides focus and cancels out the constant chatter. I hope your meltdowns are fewer and fewer!

He's gorgeous. My son's dog, Maximus Dogamus, is a Husky/Malamute mix also. We too are grateful for the silent Malamute part of him. He'll talk a little, but not that whining of Husky's. I love the breed. I love how you are with all the animals.
Brando reminded me of my late English Foxhound Princess with his repetitive shaking. When it was bathtime she got in the tub and behaved. When done she shook water off all over me, got out of the tub and followed me around the house and repeated 3-4 times. I miss her.....
