The potato cam makes me feel like I’m in a telehealth appointment with my own doctor
It have me that vibe as well. 😷🤣😂
Definitely the step before the shot. That's why he tossed the ball up like that on the wrong foot. He felt it and didn't want to jump off of it.
Probably right
@@BrianSuttererMDcan you make a video on Luka Doncic’s knee? Is it simply sprained, with all the swelling?
I swear, one of these days doc is gonna give us a video mid surgery
Doc I’m a Die hard Knicks fan. Easy with that title 😭🤣
I'm pretty sure he's trolling Knicks fans by calling it a torn hamstring 😂
🤣🫡
@@tracyelsinger1088 He might be! 😂. I am worried about that hamstring though. I’m just gonna enjoy this win and worry about the rest tomorrow LOL
Idunno guys-I thought he tore it right away. Hope im wrong of course…
It’s technically not wrong.Straining a muscle is tearing it to some degree.Hopefully it’s minor. We can’t afford to lose any more players. That means Alec Burks is getting minutes.
I appreciate how much you go into detail on the injuries in your videos. I also appreciate that you use pictures to help us understand whats happening. I've learned a lot about injuries through my own injuries that I've had. For example spraining my ankle 4 times and then tearing my calcaneal fibular ligament and knowing it was bad when I collapsed right away.
Thanks for the OG update doc
Love these videos so much. As soon as Brunson got hurt, I knew a video would be coming soon. So helpful when understanding what happened.
love the grind brian. keep goin!
Title stopped my heart for a sec
😂😂😂😂 Doc you are crafty. I reacted ( knowing it was click bait) to your first 5 secs 😂😂 then you went on to basically explain what i did with latin terms and classic med school temperament 😂😂
I swear you gotta be a NY fan 😂 I first saw your video on the preseason injury on Zach Wilson and then I saw your video about Aaron and now Brunson and OG. I’m aware it’s actually the algorithm but still 🤣 Great content man and I pray OG isn’t hurt. He can have my hammy.
Dang this is crazy and now I can know a injury because of you thanks
I would expect OG to miss more than just a game or 2. They ruled him out of the game immediately after the injury which should be cause for concern
hamstring injuries linger and take a while to fully heal had 2 back then
Do one on Luka sprained knee I want to learn more about it and the effects of playing on it.
This! Luka sprained knee please? Should he be even playing??!
I think Luka just isn’t that good but I’m not a doctor so idk
@@kdot2315 you sound smart your right he just sucks
@@Dontask12345he does, he’s been playing awful this post season. literlaly no excuses, without a doubt the most overrated and protected player in the league. He’s having one of the biggest playoff drops from an “mvp” caliber player ever and no one’s talking about it
@@JustAnAverageJoe12 That's why I asked if playing on a sprained knee is bad because you don't just go from shooting 49% and 38% to what's hes doing overnight he's obviously injured.
Love your videos Dr Brian! Avid watcher from Australia. Was just wondering if you could do a video on 2024 draft prospect Nikola Topic's recent non-contact knee injury. Thanks!
Dr. Sutterer, thank you so much for all of your work! I love your videos, and you have taught me a ton! Could you please consider adding content about female athletes? I don't think I've ever seen a female athlete's injury on your channel. For example, Kamilla Cardoso has a shoulder injury that is delaying her WNBA start by several weeks. I'd love to see a video about that. Thanks for considering adding content about female athletes, and keep up the great work!
Ive done a right leg hammy training for a triathlon. It isnt pleasant to walk on. For some reason it also caused osteotis pubis right side next to the hamstring. I was out for ages. Took over a year to fully recover i had to stop competing 😫
The 40+ minutes a game is haunting the Knicks now. Thibbs never learns
Hey doc, I was wondering if you could do a video on Kenny smith running up the ramp at tnt. Looks like an injury waiting to happen
Never misses a beat.
Gotta watch this in the morning cause dont wanna be mad if it’s bad news…. Thanks for the update tho doc… go knicks !!!
Y’all getting swept by the Celtics
@@vickiwampler9823 oh well if we do I guess, happy to have made it to the ecf considering all the injuries we’ve faced
It wasn’t too bad honestly, as a Knicks fan. Brunson he said was benign, depending on the severity it could hamper but likely won’t sideline him. OG he suspects has a hamstring strain on the outer part of that muscle, which is the less severe injury of the two discussed. OG could be out a week or so, depending on the severity, maybe less.
@@vickiwampler9823 Lmao @ Chicago fans still dreaming about the first half of the 2021-2022 Bulls season
Imagine having Zach Lavine as a 1st or 2nd option and thinking you can win anything
@@ijustyap whatever helps you sleep at night lol
OG missing only a game or 2 or even 3 would be spectacular news for the knicks... and in regards to JB i low key feel the shot to the nuts set off a chain reaction to his bowels and they just stating it as a foot injury to be less graphic 😅
If he misses 3 straight that can be a turning point point in the series…. I think Indy takes game 3 and Knicks need to fight hard in game 4
OG has hamstring issues, missed the 2019 run bc of it
@@JohnRedCorn79 he missed it cuz he had emergency appendectomy, that’s not related to a hamstring injury
I would love to see you explain the rookie from the steelers Payton Wilson. He plays inside linebacker and has no ACL in his knee
Now that you've been sponsored by Bombas as well, when are we finally going to get that collab video with Foot Doctor Zach? 😂
Brian can you talk about why the best conditioned and well trained athletes in the world so regularly have issues that not from abnormal contact but are more like hamstring tears, calf strains, achilles? Have the rates of injury increased? If these guys are getting hurt like this, we can wonder how they ever had a league back in the 60s and 70s with crummy sneakers, low quality travel, low quality hotels and so forth
The pace of the game is much faster players now a days have to fill sprint and stop on the dime while back in the game it was more of a slower game
@@ReemgetsitExactly. Look at the pace of NBA even in the 90s. Even the bigs have to have elite conditioning now.
@@chrisbradley3224Look at the pace of play in the 60s and 70s as stated in the original comment. Much faster than today and why the stats from that era are insanely high compared to other eras.
I’m not a doc but even I can easily tell you it’s from excessive use. Athletes today they train like crazy compared to past athletes.
Because their coach has them play way too many minutes per game without rest. Coach Thibodeau is notorious for it.
Doc are you going to do a video on ten boxer that died recently as a result of a boxing match? I believe he took a hit to the temple. I would love to hear your insight on this. Keep up the great videos.
As a heat fan crazy teams that hurt Jimmy both suffering from injuries Knicks last year 76ers this year injurys 🤕
I definitely thought Brian Sutterer was on the MSG back stage. That’s why he could have his video in few minutes.
Cover Wilson Contreras breaking his arm. (Catcher for the Cardinals) It’s pretty clear cut, but not often seen in baseball.
Doc Sutterer > Doc Rivers
What do you make of the Thibs narrative (running players to the ground etc)?
Seems like sometimes I'll take a bad step, and my foot bones just misalign somehow, as I'm putting my weight on the foot. It's startling and sharply painful for a moment, and I come up limping. I always wonder if this happens to pro athletes. 😊
This man always makes a video on the spot! Love it
Hey doc, fellow physician here. What might you guess in terms of recovery timetable for biceps femoris injury for OG?
He said anywhere from one game to several games in the video
FML, thanks doc.
Thank you 👍😊
Is there still a chance OG plays next game?
Can we understand what average recovery time looks like per hamstring grade strain?
Thumbnail did him dirty😂 Bro looks like he needed to piss really bad
LMAO
Knicks truly cannot have nice things man lol Shit but at least OG left with a bang because we don't win this game without his 1st half while Brunson was out. Dude kept us in it 2nd qtr and didn't let thr game get out of hand. ✊🏾✊🏾 Knicks been bitten by injury bug all year but this is how we move
OG is an awesome player but has always been injury prone. Just ask the raps although this is already is second with the knicks
Bombas socks rock
It looked to me like OG tore it. I had a sprinting type hamstring tear a few years ago. High tendon tears near the ischial tuberosity that are much more severe rarely happen with this mechanism. For me the sprinting tear was a several month injury… still gets sore🤦🏻♂️but mine was so bad I literally ended up on the ground before I knew it -not sure what had happened. OG stumbled but didn’t fall… I will be shocked if he’s not out a few weeks at least…
Knicks cannot catch a break😩
oh yes they can, embiid played on one leg, full knicks lineup and yes they are dangerous, however embiid and maxey- no way.
@@lapson19if he tore it he wouldn’t have been able to walk right so lets look on the bright side they said soreness so hopefully it’s a game or 2
@@lapson19 I used to feel sorry for Embiid- until I saw what a dirty player he is. I curse him.
Maxey is another story - I got nothing but respect for that guy.
@@will2358 well of course I hope so- my personal experience, as well as my experience watching sports for years, is that hamstrings generally take quite a bit of time- even the “mild” strains
@@kineahora8736he doesn’t need you to respect him anyway😂 yeah the play of him pulling down on his ankle was unsportsmanlike but it wasn’t going to injure him and it didn’t. Dude was already injury prone he’s big asf like embiid
og is injury prone. has been his entire career. this year the knicks need to use their draft picks for more depth.
Can you talk about Lukas injury ?
Yeah I thought it happened right before the layup
Omg I’ve watched this guy before and has never been right !!! Lmaoooooo
Can someone tell me why the NBA has still not hired Dr. Brian to be their official social media doctor?
Because he’s waiting for all the first multi-league contract, 601 mil for 10 years with a no trade contract
I do have a problem with the way he sprints. He does not need to rush his fastbreaks too I don't get him why he rushes too much.
Will the Knicks have any starters left after they beat the Pacers?
Where is the video on Luka’s obviously bad knee sprain?
We Need this for the Euros 2024
Could this be a muscle spasm or cramp ?
Is it a grade 1 strain or pull for og?!?
JB midfoot? I can’t imagine he could return with a LisFranc injury-those are bad injuries…
Bro the title man
doc, sounds like he didn't "tear" his hamstring then? you scared the hell out of me lol
So it’s possible OG will be ready for ECF if we beat the pacers??
Respect for waiting until the game finished to post
They say the hamstring is a strain, hopefully will be back soon.
So will OG be out for the remainder of the playoffs?
No, Doc is just trolling Knicks fans with that title lol
A strain is a tear.
Honestly wouldn’t be surprised if he misses significant time after a non stretch tear like that. I tore my hamstring in a similar fashion and it can leave you unable to walk for a couple days once it tightens up even if you can hobble it off initially. Depends how safe they want to take his recovery.
Nikola topic please ASAP!!!
Looks like the Knicks are going to have to rely on the officials more if they want to advance!
LETS GO KNICKS
Why discount the groin-area pain he was in only a minute before he left the game? Urethral/testicular injury? Based on the amount of pain he was in, and holding his crotch area, as well as his movements afterwards, seems plausible, no? I didn’t notice him favoring his left foot which would be consistent with a right foot injury- it was more like a waddle.
The flash of putting out content
no its was from earlier in his run, you got to back up
Heels down while running and it’s always bad news. Train with heels down and this is always inevitable. Train heels up and build better tissue
Mind elaborating?
Plantar Fasciitis?
Why say he tore his hamstring without anything official?
Question Doc: Did you play sports?? If so, which ones?? 🤙🏾 Dig the vids
Tennis was my main sport. Now golf haha
@@BrianSuttererMDsoft
NOT NOW BRIAN ARGHHHHHH
Brunson gonna have a short apex of his career if thibs doesnt figure out a way to coach a bench and use rotations. I know its the playoffs now, but its been a problem not only this regular season causing or a meaningful part of these breakdowns now, but over his coaching history since his bulls days.
Why not just be more specific? Even if a strain is some kind of tear, it is clearly less severe. Why not just mention strain instead? I don't get it
The least you could do is crop the video so we can actually see the injury. Maddening.
Kinda late Dr but I’m here as a nervous Knicks fan
Thibs is running the Knicks to the floor he did the same thing to the bulls and D Rose
He has no choice. Who’s gonna play? Alex Burks? Obl’a little bro? The towel boy? C’mon man, formulate a thought before you start yappin.
Yes please, do Luka!
Don't call it a torn hamstring before it's confirmed
TEARS? lets calm down pls
As a raps we all know OG is gone like kawhii for at least a week if no the series
Unfortunately. I’ve always thought OG was a stiff. Not his fault. He’s just not fluid in his movements. He slid in the draft because of injury to the same leg I believe so he’s been on the shelf since day 1
Some nba players are just way too big for the current pace of play.
minutes
James Harden had a hamstring injury in Brooklyn in the playoffs a couple years back. Seem like he couldn’t get right at all.
Knicks Win Yessir
Nice update Doc.
Jalen Brunson finished the game with 29pts
Hopefully OG will come back to play the playoffs....
Ho won't
TORN hamstring??? How do you know? They said sore
I think that's just what happens with a hamstring strain, it's starting to tear.
It's IT all over again
bro quick asf
If it’s two games thank God.. if not they won’t make it past Boston if they even get passed the pacers.. burks is gonna have to step up and play more
Calling it a torn hamstring in the video title seems a little excessive. We don't know the severity of it, or if it's just strained.
A strain is a tear
@@BrianSuttererMD technically, yes, but I think most people think "severe injury" when they hear "tear". "Strain" not so much. That's why I thought your use of tear when we don't even know the severity of the injury was a little over the top.
@@tracyelsinger1088but it’s literally a tear, it would be different if it wasn’t
@@tracyelsinger1088I agree he should change the title it completely throws people off and is excessive
@@SamUHells so if all strains are actually tears, why do we even have the term strain? Why not just say "tear" for all such injuries?
I thought maybe a plantar injury! maybe plantar fasciitis I know that shit will make your foot sore😂
Wtf - tear hamstring… sounds like tv doc
Torn?!?
Correct.
How can you claim to know OG tore his hamstring when you made this video the day before he had his MRI?
Is this a youtube video or a telehealth appointment?
The NBA should hired him for his Expertise
I agree, but nba also have doctors and medical staff lol
It never hurts to have a extra expert with his experience at least as a second opinion or consultant 👍
@@ai3499 The NBA is a multi billion dollar company so Im sure that theve go that covered. This guy would be great on ESPN! They occassionly have a doctor who breaks down a injury but it would be cool to have someone on Sports Center break this down! Best thing is He isn't examining anyone ore responsible for diagnosis so if he is wrong...no big deal! Thats why he mentions that without examing the player he can't properely disgnosis him. Im a orthopedic manual therapist and Rehab trainer so the anatomy stuff is fun but not sure the average viewed would be into this? He could cover the major sports and do a segment every day about someone who is injured! Baseball, Hockey, Tennis..whatever(ok not nascar) An added bonus is that it would spare us a couple of minutes of ridiculousness like Uncle Tom Stephan A Smith yelling about something he "heard from one of his sources"
