Matthew Cohn I would say the majority of In Flames fans seeing as how this is pretty much how they sound like these days. And artists usually tend to play songs live that are singles and/or popular which this song is neither.

It doesn't go down as prog-metal In Flames, but this is lyrically one of their best. This song got me through one of the toughest periods of my life.

it's interesting you view him saying "I carve my name in stone" in the negative, with a tombstone, and I view it as a positive, like carving your name in stone for the future to see, leaving behind a part of you with the world. Absolutely love this song, and I your view on this song is absolutely wonderful.
"Between love and hate which path to follow" always brings me to tears. The melody is so beautiful and the way he goes from signing to screaming was exactly what I felt when this album came out. It was a time when I was deciding whether to kill myself or try to go on and live. I hope anyone else thinking the same chooses to live. Will life be easy? No but it can get better. Get the help you need. Dont stop trying. If I had not chosen to go on I wouldn't have my beautiful wife and lovely baby girls.

I can't listen to this song very often, because of the feels. It's a one-of-a-kind track for them. Extremely moody. Fantastic song, nonetheless.

Heard them play it live, not at this show, but nonetheless it was a very powerful moment.
I saw them this year at Summer Breeze. Then they played this song. I didn't know it's title nor any lyrics. But something inside of me reacted, so I stood there for about 8 minutes just crying.
I was there... It looked like the roof in the venue opened up and something from outer space landed, at the same time as someone was touching my freaking soul. This might be the most weird shit I have ever said but I can't put other words on it :) but oh the tears... Oh the tears!

This is a really great song, but the best performance I've seen of it was when they opened up their set with it at Astoria in London, with a big white screen in front of the stage so you could only see their silhouettes on the screen until about the 5 minute mark when they dropped the screen and the roar from the crowd was astonishing
