The lyrics hit me harder than it should. `When we were young
, was this the dream we had? We are celebrating nothing, we need to find our way back`. I'm 34 and In Flames defined my best and worst years since high school. I didn't know I'd become more and more retrospective in 30s. I keep going back to my highs and lows and keep making comparisons between past and now. Anders writes great lyrics and I got Trigger lyrics `Collect Some Stars to Shine For You` tattooed on my chest but this song's lyrics hit me the hardest.
Every time In Flames releases an album I go through difficult times in life :|
I think In Flames are lamenting how bad their lyrics have become, so it's a bit of meta-art haha

Yo I just found In Flames a few months ago. I see comments from long time fans hating on their newer style and that's their prerogative. However, as a metal fan, I'm still digging this song. It's not full out metal but it jams well with me.
So many close minded people here. In flames took their path, they are trying to tell you somthing. Open your mind and listen. This album will be one of their best for sure

What i expected from this third era IF. Good rhythm, amazing melodies and goosebumps. Thanks and more then ever, welcomed this sound, they found themselves as musicians as we know them today! This is a mature and grown band. As one of the lucky that know them very early, i feel kind of gladness for them keeping it real, as they are. IF, i salute you.
Exactly I grew up with inflames, I'm 30 and my best friend who was alot older showed me them in 6th grade. Jester race was the first cd I bought with money I saved up. They are who got me into metal music. I still love them to this day
people don't like this but, in 10 years they will cry for band to make song like this !! i don't blame them cuz it's not my job !! i just want to enjoy right now cuz this is life !! and life is short and i want to enjoy more metal like this !!! they changed...they made themselfes a new own style that you might not approve of, but as you may be aware of if you have an open mind you'd see that other people like it and the songs are very well written...it's just not your style anymore. I could understand the band if they'd just be annoyed of their old fans for not approving their change of style and constantly pouring poison over their new work, but they still support their old fans. They write music for themselfes and not for any audience, that's what a songwriter does...it's time to get over it. You already gave them up many years ago and listen to Soilwork, Dark tranquility or anything you want and it's okay to check if their newest songs may tingle your taste a little again. But if not, is it really that important to tell them "they're dead since Jesper left"? (Who has written songs up to A Sense of Purpose btw)

if your a true In Flames fan, you shouldn't have to leave a comment hating on their changes to their music, a fan should be able to be ok with whatever they put out. They put time and effort into it for you guys, the fans.
So many people are upset that In Flames still isn't returning to their melodic death metal days but I honestly love all their albums. (Albeit some more than others) I have a feeling this album is going to turn out great.

This is like the biggest coincidence of my life! I JUST came home yesterday from a post-apocalypse themed LARP which took place at the location of this video. It's an abandoned Sintermine and plant in the middle of Sweden and used for paintball/airsoft and also that LARP once a year.

We celebreting nothing we need to find our way back'' I wonder that they wanted fame, but needed give up of the classic style and the real fans, and celebrate this today, just don't meant anything, and now they are lost in finding the way back to the classic time, or at least get mix style that consecrated them with the style that they play today and with the current fans.
For me the band just need to play all together, the classic songs, December Flower,Moonshield,The Jester Race,, Jotun, Food for the Gods,Ordinary Story, Colony, Bullet Ride, Only for the Weak, Square Nothing, Trigger etc... Doing this and composing all together I gave sure that they will gave us amazing albuns and songs again. Well anyway In Flames WE TRUST, you're besides all, my favorite Melodeath band guys !

Again, really great song, as and Old School fan here, I really like the song, The Truth is like Coldplay, but this song is great, but man...This video don't fit with the song.I mean it's a cool video, and It must have been a lot of fun,but for this song it's a little weird. I just recently started to listen to In Flames and some songs i straight up dont like and then there are the ones Im crazy obssessed with. I will listen to all of thier songs but if anyone has any suggestions for thier favorites please let me know. I have a feeling Im gonna fuck heavily with this band no matter what❤

why now?? this sound quite the same as stuff from 2008...
After clayman they just started to change their sound and I didn't like it as much. Fast forward 7 years later come clarity came out and that was pretty good, but everything after and before has been pretty mediocre for me. They just don't have the same punch they used to have in the 90s. I'm glad people are still enjoying them, but they're defenitily not the same band they used to be.
Good riddance. Those of us who are real fans don't want you here.
