I love what they did with apple vision pro. With being able to, check your battery status. And that it is finally going internationally🎉🎉
Ohhhhh! Just realized the top bar on iPad OS will be what they replace the Dynamic Islamd with on iOS eventually when they can get rid of it, so when you rotate tone wise, it’s like on Vision OS with the Dynamic Island looking menu bar. It’s obvious.
Ok so, I am an Android user, and I saw the icons being to the side with that puppy background and I was like "Oh, so you can have single colors in the icons now :)" but something else felt off and I couldn't figure it out because nothing looked weird and then I noticed "AH, YES! The icon backgrounds are black now, that must be it :)"
AND I DIDN'T EVEN NOTICE THE ICONS WERE ARRANGED DIFFERENTLY TO THE GRID. It just looked so normal, it took me until you mentioned it to realize the icons can be arranged now!
So yeah, Apple may get things late (very late in some cases) but you have no idea how much I respect them, I think that yes, they have their weird things that slow progress as a whole, but they are also one of the most innovative brands out there, and all of these updates, phone mirroring, AI, privacy, etc. Are the perfect showing of why even when I am not an Apple fan I always come to these types of videos to see what they come up with, well done Apple!

I am glad that lately they have been rethinking a lot of their design traditions and allowing users to customize it more
I feel like Apple has way more resistance towards customization because with Android, the software is Google’s, you may have a skin over it but mainly you’re selling hardware. With iPhones, iOS is a big part of the selling point and they want it to be recognizable.
But I am really really glad they are putting way more resources into seeing how they can allow users to customize it and make it their own, while still being very iOS at a glance

I wish we could verbally lock our phones with Siri and required passcode to reopen. So if a thief or cop takes our phone we can lock it verbally.

@@Lifesurfer001-iq7nf as long as you have attention awareness on, if the cop fooled you and you managed to lock it afterwards, you can squint to avoid triggering the unlock. But if it’s a thief, you’re probably getting stabbed for ****ing around

Disappointing that they didn’t announce anything to take advantage of the M4 chip in the iPad. Grossly overpowered.
PSA: In case you missed it, to get access to all of these features, you will need to have the 15 or 16 series. Anything older, won't get all of these features.
Just the AI features. Customising features stem down to XR or or so.
All iOS 18 AI features on iPhone below iPhone 15 will be done in Apple's private cloud space much like Pixels Ai features use Google's cloud servers.

I like all of these customization coming to iOS 18. However thing I'm concerned about is Apple using OpenAI. Although they say privacy is being a big feature, OpenAI is going to have some privacy issues I think.

They getting rid of the annoying home bar on phone? People dont need it
( Speaking from observation and someone who uses both ecosystems ) If you're excited about this update you might as well have gotten an Android, Nothing wrong about adding these new features, but they have been around for years, Apple is just getting pressured into having them.... Comparing Apple "Intelligence" Galaxy AI with the live translate in the, plus the circle to search. Regarding RCS, it's not about Android users messing up the chat, but rather Android users not being peers pressured into getting switching to iphone or allowing Iphone users who wants switch to Android and still be apart of the group chat. ( That S24 ultra is going to be real tempting come September if iphone 16 isn't interesting. ) But still Genmoji is going to be fun when people start to come up with some twisted emoji's but at least there the calculator app for tabletOS. I'm honestly excited for that. I however would like for ipad to do split screen properly ( especially when it's in portrait orientation ) .... That need work ✌🏾

@@PSy84 i have commented after watching full event. what is outcome of big screen and computer level chip when since 5 years a 3 trillion dollar company cant even improve its files app, the whole os is just iphone mirroring except stage manager that too incomplete. if they didnt want to improve the ipad then why are marketing as good as computer ? external display works with half features, while on external display its always charging no bypass charging, cant use external display while screen is locked, even background apps dont work the app needs to be open in foreground. is it really a 2024 os ?
and the sad part is next time aple will update its ipad is 1.5 years later.

As someone who came from Android and has considered going back once good QI2 phones start showing up.
The customization is a welcome change it’s a good beginning. Just need to see icons being totally changeable. Custom icon packs. I can do out out Launchers although they can be cool but almost never used them.
AI is really good it definitely shows the advantage of a closed ecosystem in this case they can do better implementation than google in a shorter time. But I just wish Apple didn’t have to do these names.. stop it
