I purchased both the medium czcams.com/users/postUgkxfh2XUOHWYHKQYOvSq2gZ6PyCmVkTFGWz and small speed bags from Meister. I'm very glad I got both as the workout is quite different from the two. The small is fantastic for getting your speed built up once familiar with your striking. The medium bag provides a considerable amount more resistance building more strength in your punches. I highly recommend both sizes.Some people have expressed concern over the latex bladder leaking down more frequently than the traditional rubber. I have not found this to be an issue at all.

Very cool!! I love it as a MacGyver project for casual use, but trust me, as you improve you'll NEED a better swivel.

It got shreaded at the top didnt handle the growing load or the material simply aged .
Next time i need thicker real leather

Type of wood and thickness of wood and how big is it? Is the platform 2 ft? Looks nice!
hi thanks for asking, i used MDF 15mm thick and for the dimesions i used the distance between the swivel pivot and the ball(the distance from center where the ball should hit ), you would get a circle but i prefer squares easier to cut the shape =)

Thanks for your efforts brother but if a boxer using this board and this swivel for the speedbag he won't be happy at all, a boxer trying to make that swivel very very smooth as possible and the mechanism you are using isn't smooth at all, and also the glue between the swivel you made and the board will never last if its used for couple times a week training or more, it needs to be screwed to the board with 4 screws with bolts that's fixed inside the board itself from the other side so the bolts won't be able to move as much as possible;
Trust me brother on this, i know what I'm talking about

Its hard to answer the question because the only parts i truly baught from the store are the ball head joints, the rest are refirbished parts

I asked a local shop to weld them for me. I wouldnt recommand copper tubes

yes should work good 2 feet by 2 feet, measure the length from the swivel to speed bag end thats you circle diameter
can you give me dimensions of that wood
i made it a 50*50 cm mdf but i recommend you make a bigger ball you can mount it

I think the idea behind this is he probably spent very little (if any) money... His expense was just time and effort and ingenuity.. Like...He cut the metal pipe with a handsaw.. he ain't exactly ballin' on this one....

Bro thats way too much work I rather buy one....i thought it was an easy DIY
you can always hang a ball with a thread to the ceiling, but i wanted to get close to a commercial one when i made this and to have fun making it, the speedball is an excuse to make things myself =)
He good at makeing it but i dont think he good at useing it
Just buy one doesnt worth to spens time on it
