Everything that you mentioned in your video I had already done. Even formatted the drives and did a fresh install of the latest windows 10 pro. Even bought a fresh set of data cables. As a matter of fact I did the fresh install yesterday. Rearranged the data cables and it seems to be working so far. Lets see for how long before it decides to disappear. I have an ssd and a hdd in my AW laptop. I removed the hdd and plugged it into an hdd-usb adapter and played it on another laptop to see if It will recognize the content, it did. I then put the hdd back to the original AW laptop, but it no longer recognizes it. So I took it out and attached it into the hdd-usb adaptor and plugged it into the same AW laptop, it now recognizes it. Why does it get unrecognized when plugged into its original internal hdd bay, but gets recognized in my usb?
Have and Asus M5AFX99 Pro Rev2.0 mobo and two drives don't show in BIOS but do in Windows and they function properly. When mobo was rather new the all drives did show but over time they have dropped off in BIOS settings for some reason. The OS drive has never been a problem just extras not showing. Have re-flashed the BIOS several times over the past few months all to no avail.

1. Are you able to find any Recovery or Repair options in BIOS?
2.Also, did anything happen before this issue appeared? Liquid spill, overheating, Windows update, etc?
For newer Bios versions, find SATA Configutation, and change it to AHCI. That fixed my problem and suddenly HDD was visible, thank you.
Didnt work and btw it was already on that setting

Hi Brotha... I hoping you can help me... It's a bit different but close... I have a Asus Desktop, M3N78-EM. My computer just stop working one day, I never turn it off and it has turned off like this before. I do not have any virus protection on it, for that it is my website computer and yes I will get some asap.
Anyhow, It says I need to boot device, it doesn't have any drives, just usb and two hard drives. I go into the Bios System and I do not see any sata hdd's and the date was wrong. The battery was dead, replaced that and fixed the date and still nothing. I change the boot order... Pretty much everything in your video... I even checked out your other video to get the Window10... Thanks... Great work Sir...
So, when the battery is in, it doesn't see the hdd, but when I take out the battery for a little bit, and turn it on, and go into Bios I see them. They both work, I can feel them working (vib)
I wanted to update the firmware but Asus doesn't have this model firmware... I do not want to buy another hdd and it's the Computer...
Do you have any suggestions that I can try to fix this computer sir? I appreciate it and Thank You So Much... 🙌🤞

Try windows memory diagnostic u can find it in start
HDD is visible, but ssd is not. The ssd is visible on another computer and was even able to install a Linux distribution to it. Still will not show up in the bios of the Asus laptop. Any suggestions? Secure boot is off and csm is enabled.
Hi which hard drive would fit a notebook R417s hard driver on the back turning on the laptop would up estimate if you can answer it
If it's a laptop then 2.5 inch laptop HDDs or SSD will fit
Hello PC Monkey. I don't see boot option priorities like you have presented in the video as well as the UEFI option. What should I do if my pc goes directly to the BIOS screen instead of the operating system? Is this a normal occurence for a 1-year old laptop? Looking forward to your response. Thank you.

My laptop is ASUS ROG DL503G, Starting problematic with disk in task manager (always getting high percentage) and then just 2 days ago, it became even slower and hard to read the hard disk (either the BIOS dont read it at all or when I start the laptop, it shows "scanning and repairing drive"). And just today the laptop cannot read it at all, already tried to re-plug the HDD but doesn't change anything. At BIOS, boot option, there are no boot option at boot option priorities(only fast boot "enabled"). At SATA Configuration, all of the information of the hard disk written N/A. Any advice?

Hello! I have a Lenovo G530, I have done everything I can in the Lenovo video and this one, but in the BIOS it shows there is no hdd. I have 2 options for the SSD, AHCI and IDE. Neither one works on the new SSD. It only shows up in the Windows custom install page. The old hdd works in the laptop though. I also went over and put the SSD in my desktop and it works just fine in the desktop, shows in the BIOS and works in Windows. If you know what is wrong, please do let me know. Thank you!
Have you tried reinstalling Windows into it after install?
@@PC_Monkey It is not showing a hdd in the boot area in the BIOS, also yes I have. I'm just stuck in the booting menu since half a year. At some point it changed to automatic repair loop. I couldn't find my data and pictures when trying to connect my harddrive to another pc and got some message about something broken or whatever so I got a new harddrive from someone now finally giving it another go after kinda giving up. I am still stuck in the booting menu I have no idea how to get my pictures and documents. Asked a computer repair place and they said for 100$ they look at it and diagnose the problem but that's not fixing it yet and I just can't afford all that
On top of that i rlly don't know many things about laptops 😅
Do I just have to trash my laptop at this point and forget about all my data from past few years?

my lap is i3 11th gen x513ea lap. it comes with win 10 home single language but I want to format this laptop. but the reason is when I go to format the lap it shows hard drives are not detected. I have updated the bios for the 205 version. but it doesn't give the solution. pls, can you tell me what happens to my laptop?
Thank you man. I wrote down my case here so anyone with the same problem like me can fix it. My laptop is ASUS X407UF with HDD SATA Storage and when i last update my windows my OS just got BSOD and after that it start slow and laggy. I used to clean up the disk and extend my c drive before using minitool parition and even i run the debloater from github so i expect my Laptop will run faster. But suddenly things goes wrong, my laptop just keep BSOD and laggy and not responding so i decide migrate my precious data file to d drive and do a reinstall Windows 10 with USB media creation tool from Microsoft. The things goes worse when i cant see my hard drive in windows installation menu, they keep asking me to select driver for my drive. So i downloaded a driver from ASUS website and then i can resume the installing process. But installing process freeze at 60% and my laptop just like reboot and now in my BIOS there is no storage detected ini SATA port.
I try to remove and plug in my hard disk and still not working, i check the date and it still up to date. The solution for my problem is the last one, i change boot option to CSOM in my BIOS because i dont get the LEGACY option and reboot, after that i went to my laptop BIOS and my storage finally there in SATA Port
I love you so much man you have no idea thank you very much!❤️

Well if by unplugging everything from the pc the problem goes away then what? that means we can never start our pc without having unplugged everything from it? what's the solution for not having to go through that? Thanks.
If that was the issue with your computer, most likely, you need to change some settings in BIOS. Most likely, your HDD is not set to first in the Boot Order. Most likely, the first one is set to an external device of some kind. That makes your computer try to boot from an external device before it tries to boot from its own HDD. When it doesnt find any OS on an external device, it errors out. If you set your HDD to first, it will try to boot from that first and there shouldnt be a prob. Hope I explained that clearly.

Im not sure what the problem is with my computer, im stuck in the UEFI BIOS Utility mode and when I look at boot all it says is
Launch CSM [ Auto ]
Your stuck? What happens when you try to leave BIOS?
This video addresses most issues, but it does not address this error when no driver will be detected by BIOS, not even a flash drive. Cannot reinstall Windows because the system will not see any drive. (ASUS L406M)
I have a feeling BIOS may be corrupted, and since I cannot get any drive to work, I can't update it.
So, these solutions will not work for every example of this error. Likely good for 90% of the problems.
Have you tired a factory reset of your BIOS?
so what does it mean when the computer keeps coming back with "no bootable device found"? If your solution worked but then again come up with the error message ... what does it mean? You mentioned maybe hard drive issue ...
You have to change those settings each time in BIOS? The setting keep resetting each time the computer powers off? If so, that could mean that BIOS is losing power when it turns off and the settings are resetting each time. That could be a sign that the CMOS battery is dead and needs to be replaced. You can see how to access that component here; czcams.com/video/76I2Ec9K7lw/video.html
I did everything that you said on this video, but anything worked. Now. I need to reemplace the ssd but I don't know if
SSD Kingston SA2000M8/500G is compatible with ASUS UX305F, ¿could you help me? (Sorry for my bad English, isn't my first language)
Your computer wont turn on and your trying to replace the SSD?
What brand and model computer do you have?
@@PC_Monkey My ssd is m.2 2280 sata 3. I checked the datasheet. Thank you
I changed the date and time but I am still getting a "No Storage device Present" I went to the boot menu tab and I get "The system cannot find any bootable device" What might be the problem here please?

My bios is completely different. Still asus but the bios is much cleaner looking. However in the boot tab there is no UEFI, legacy or CSM settings so I'm not even able to change those settings
Secure boot was already disabled

ISK if one of your videos helped this issue but I fixed it b4 and can't remember how I did. ASUS ROG 703V, Does recognize HDD but only boots to BIOS. Any thoughts anyone?
Have you tried the steps seen here?
The Asus F555y will not see my hdd no bios shows in setup utility. However I can mount the drive on an external case and all my PC's are able to see the files. I've cloned the original master disk so I can play without damage. I think this machine had a password set would that cause the bios not to see the drive?
Is the BIOS password protected? If not, you should be all set.
Have you tried to install an operating system new onto the drive after its installed? Sometimes, that is needed
@@PC_Monkey Thx for getting back to me. I erased and formatted the copy drive and now it shows in the bios and I can load a new copy of Win10 on it so I guess it is something to do with the password preventing the bios from seeing the drive. I doubt you can diagnose the problem remotely so this is one of those mysterious things. Thx David
My son was already logged in and everything. It kicked him out to bios and will not load past bios. It also now shows no boot options.
Assuming you have an Asus computer, your on the correct video. Have you tried the steps seen here yet?
I had recently updated my laptop and when it was done restarting it gave me the stop code INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE I have no idea why but it won't let me go to my desktop it's just stuck at the same screen telling me the stop code and loops restarting idk what to do and my warranty is expired so ASUS doesn't care to help.
your on the correct video. Are you able to try the steps seen here yet?
Hey bro.. I have a problem
I have a ssd 1t when i open my pc i can find and see it but when i want to make windows on it i find it but in bios i can't find it and i cant boot at him
Was the previous HDD working well? Why did you replace it? Just an upgrade?
Also, you have an Asus computer?
lot of thanks ❣️
Your welcome !! Happy to help :)
So very helpful
Great to hear !! Always here to help :):)
Can I replace an SSD drive with an HDD drive in my asus and what are the possible side effects?? I'm asking because my ASUS Harman/Kardon seems to be having issues with all the HDD drives I install after its original SSD drive got damaged. Are there some SSD antibodies fighting against my HDD cells? 😔😔😩😩
No lol. Love how you said that though lol
Whats happening that makes you say your computer is having issues with the HDD?
@@PC_Monkey lool....Ok so this is the 2nd time I'm having an issue with my laptop booting into the OS. Currently it keep giving the *Reparing harddrive* prompt then it simply restarts. This keeps happening as many times as it restarts. I suspected the hard drive so I inserted another HDD with a windows OS installed and running fine in my DELL. However I keep getting the same *Reparing hardrive* prompt in my ASUS.

i got the problem here can u give me a guide?
soo for anyone who wonder how is my Disk management llok like here
imgur.com/CXMymPq
as u can see there are no unlocted space or any sign of my previous Local Disk D i think i need to open the laptop (ay advice befor im gonna open it up)
because all the tuorial told me to partition the unlocated space but i dont have that
for me, it shows Serial ATA Port 0 as empty, it doesn't detect the hard disk.
That could be due to the HDD being lose or bad. Try reseating it first. Reseating is when you remove or unplug the HDD, then plug it back in. Take care to insure its secure and properly plugged in. If BIOS will still not detect the HDD after the steps seen here in this video, then move on to attempt a new install of Windows 10 as seen here; czcams.com/video/1VD9fPJ1eik/video.html. Same problem here
Maybe i should install a new Windows?
I have a Asus motherboard and when I boot into windows and go to disk management, there is no hard drive. Not even at unallocated. Only my nvme comes up.
Have you tried the steps seen in this video?
PC Monkey I put my OS onto my NVME, but the HDD doesn’t come up. Do you think it could be dead even though it is brand new?
