- It was another brilliant day at the car boot sale looking for vinyl records. I found some really amazing records which I want to share with you today. I even found a copy of something else by the Kinks. Please give me a thumbs up if any of you are into the Kinks or if you like any of the other records I found this morning.
That Cult album is really great, with the songs She sells Sanctuary and Rain! Here also in my collection! That Rick Wakeman( before in Yes as the keyboard player ) album I found last year in mint condition. I collect now his albums and found in the mean time 2 other albums of him. I picked also up that Alison Moyet album, but I must still listen to it. If I find her or Yazoo, I will buy it. And you bought each record for a pound?? That Kinks, Cult and Pink Floyd album has a much bigger worth than 1 Pound, so you did a real bargain! Congratulations! greetz Jason
Jason, thank you so much for your informative comments I'm delighted to get the feedback and I hope you will return to watch more of my videos real soon.
A good day Martin. That Cult record was the one that jumped out at me, brilliant for a pound. Cheers.
Yes it was. Thanks.
Hiya, wow some fantastic friends once again, the kinks one is probably worth quite a bit, depending on condition, but this is a great video, really enjoyed it, cheers, Dave 😊
I appreciate your comments as always.
Need that kinks lp still
Not surprised as I don't see it much myself.
Hue & Cry actually had some hits. I'd have to say they were very average in my mind.......
Stevie Wonder came on the news this week. He's gained Ghanaian citizenship. Funny thing was an ex president let him co pilot an internal flight there. Yes. Stevie Wonder flying a plane 😮 😅
I found a lovely OG copy of that Kinks album once in a loft and shifted it on. It is a classic album. £1 finds rule. Depends how much time you have on your hands, for me ATM it's diminished. Bargains are still out there. Nice one. You've done well there.
Thanks so much for taking the time to watch and comment. I appreciate the information and comments. All the best and good luck hunting down those bargains.
Great haul. Been after the Kinks album if you are thinking of selling.
Thanks for your kind message and offer. Unfortunately it's not for sale. All the best.
The sun certainly shone on you today!
It did indeed. Thank you for your comment.
Pleasure-btw your not Ray "Party" Parlour in disguise are you? You sound like a real north London boy!
@@jazzychris123 I am afraid not.
Has the stevie wonder got the 7inch in it aswell
I will double check.
I was given that John Miles LP when it was first reviewed at Music Week magazine. Don't know what ever happened to it...? A bit of a middle of the road vinyl haul but hey, at least you didn't buy any Des O'Connor!🤣
Thanks for your comments. Why did Des O'Connorr records sell so well considering no one wants them now?
@@thevinylvault Remember, the best selling artist of the 50s was Mantovani and the best selling LP of the 60s was 'The Sound of Music'. I've been looking for that stuff in the wild for ages!🤣
@@brucevair-turnbull8082 I can help you out with that.🙂
As interesting as your videos are seeing what you pick up I do find it a bit odd too. Are you actually a vinyl/music fan yourself or do you buy to just sell on? It just seems that on many of the albums you don’t have any idea about the artist or the album. Are you a collector?
Thanks for your comments. Back in the 1980's & 1990's I only listened to Electro & Hip Hop records. Overtime I learnt that many of the records in my collection contained breakbeats and samples from older records which eventually made me appreciate the original recordings. Unfortunately like many other record collectors of the time I eventually sold my record collection. Fast forward to now and I am collecting again however, this time my taste is more eclectic and I find myself being exposed to records I would never have entertained before. Often when I buy records and post them up on CZcams I get asked the same questions time and time again. How do you not know this group and how can you not remember this song, well the truth is until now most of these records and artists were not on my radar and it’s my first time owning or hearing them. So next time you watch one of my videos and you hear me sounding vague, mispronounce a group or artist or read the year of release off the cover I hope you feel a little more reassured that I am still learning and enjoying the musical journey. All the best.
