When I was in the CS scene, there were no monitor arms. Everyone just used Zowie or whatever the tournament sponsor was. Maybe now it’s different.

@Adam and Eve it's one of the better LCD's out there for sure. If we're comparing LCD's to CRT"s they're aren't even close.
Gotta love the honesty
You're probably the first reviewer who explained this - how they really all use the same panels (AU Optronics, etc). This really does help bust that the myth that a certain manufacturer has a "better" panel. Kudos! To be fair though, I would probably still consider the manufacturer mostly based on their warranty process.
they might use the same panel but the manufacturers tune their panels differently. so on factory out of the box panels they would still differ.
if you wanna know by how much you need to check in depth reviews. for 240hz anyway the differences were quite clear and the so was the winner when i did research for it. 360hz not so sure. so far they seem quite similar, but then agains theres not much of them

Hey Bijan, i know the monitor is a few years old by now, but i recently bought a Asus PG35VQ. I would love to see how you would place this monitor into your "tier list" among your other tested ultrawides. I just bought it and i'm seriously impressed how well it holds up. Using it with HDR enabled titles made me a strong believer. How well the 512 zone backlight works with the VA panel to deliver excellent contrast ratio is just unbelieveable. Even if it's a little slower in terms of pixel response times than other modern monitors, it still has a 200Hz refresh rate and thus feels extremely responsive. Plus it's still the only HDR 1000 ultrawide on the market.
Could you create a video on the best headphones from an esports perspective? I'm looking for headphones to play csgo mainly and I love the way you review and your esports perspective so it would mean a lot :D

I feel as though a monitor arm is a must in a gaming setup, it makes the need for complaining about the stand inapplicable and you never have to worry about the legs getting in the way.
I ran a poll a month or 2 ago. The vast majority of people use the included stuff.

Hey, I'm buying a new monitor and I was pretty much set on the MSI MAG251RX, but I found out that the MSI Oculux NXG253R costs the exact same amount of money in my country, so i now don't know which one to get because there are like no reviews for the Oculux NXG253R. So which one should i get? ( I mainly play games like Apex, R6, Valorant, but will be playing more single player games soon because I just got a new PC)

it was a tough fight for me between asus (best contrast) and alienware (best under/overshoot perf). at the end i picked the AW and couldn't be happier upgrading from a dell u2311h with a 1cm line of pixels on the brink of death. coincidentally, it was also the cheapest one.

I can definitely understand the base being a big issue for the folks who are taking monitors to tournaments. I guess I just assumed most folks dropping $600 or so on a monitor, would be using the vesa mount for home use. Maybe 5 years ago I was introduced to vesa mounting monitors to an arm, and I’ll never go back to using the stand. Having that extra space on the desk is easily worth the additional cost!!

Dude Hdmi is used for 4K 120hz max, if you want to go higher you have to use Display port.

@@deltascythe5958 Basically because of the absolute motion clarity. But for like the general public, anything 165hz+ will be fine. It all boils down to your preferences after that.
For motion clarity - yes. Input lag and response time? No.

The difference between a much clearer and smoother imagine compared to maybe at best 2-4ms input lag, it isn't even close. Clearer image wins
The 360 hz works great for me on wsrzone I get about 170fps and the higher hz makes the latency that much quicker

The Asus comes with a bracket to mount to the back edge of the desk, so no issues with space for the Asus

If you are ok with washed out colors, the zowie is better. I got the Alienware cus it was cheaper than the zowie at this time lmao.
Why are you never also comparing 1440p as viable competition monitors? One argument you had in a previous video said that the benq is so good because the ghosting is minimal compared to 360hz so the 1-2ms difference is negligible which makes sense. But then why is the clarity not relevant which is gained from moving from 1080p to 1440p.
I just upgraded from my 24 inch 1080 to a 24 inch 1440p and I am hard pressed to see much more clarity at all. I mean yeah in games theres a little but it aint worth it. Sellin these and goin back to 1080.

I just need a bloody wide gamut 27" monitor that has really good colors that can do 144hz. Its about impossible to find one with those requirements. All the best color accurate monitors are 240hz+ and I dont play anything over 60hz, because my NEC (LCD2490WUXi) or Dell (U2715H) cant do over 60hz. If I could find a monitor that can match the dell in colors but do 144hz, i'd be set. I just cant find one without massive backlight bleed or trash black levels/contrast ratio. If you have any recommendations, I'd love to hear them
LG 27GN850/Dell S2721 DGF, but those have bad contrast because IPS and no local dimming. You might have to wait for a small OLED display.

I got 1440p 240hz one instead. In my country they cost the same but I prefere 27` 1440p 240hz over 25` 1080p 360hz. Anyways I'm still considering buying the 360hz one also, because I need a second monitor. Anyways buy what u want, I just have to say that alienware monitors feel GREAT.
