  • Did Karen Read murder her boyfriend John O’Keefe by mowing him down with her car -maybe even intentionally? Or is she being set up by a corrupt law enforcement officials trying to protect their own?
O’Keefe was found dead in Canton, Massachusetts, in the front yard of Boston police officer Brian Albert. Prosecutors say Karen dropped him off at a party at Albert’s house and then hit him with her car.

@@kelliethomson922Technically they didn't prove it, but it was their opinion it wasn't a vehicle strike. That was also the opinion of the commonwealth's ME and the defense's medical expert. Dr Russell, the dog lady with extensive ER experience and insane qualifications also didn't believe his injuries were caused by a vehicle strike and her opinion was his arm injuries were from an animal attack.
That's the way expert witnesses work. It's almost impossible to prove something didn't happen, but I'm far more inclined to listen to expert opinions than Trooper Proctor who texts like the crudest teenage boy and Trooper Paul who doesn't know what "momentum" is or even what "confirmation bias" is.

      Amen to that!
I view it the same way.
I think that in broad terms, men tend to be „better“ at certain things per average - because of particular male strengths and gifts.
But simultaneously, women also tend to be better at certain things due to FEMALE strengths and gifts.
So my idea of a better society is that both men and women acknowledge to these factors and honor them.
To me as a man, there are wonderful qualities in women I treasure, and that hopefully, I have learned from in my life.
Also, I have seen a number of women who made an effort to learn from men.
Part of the problems surrounding sexism in life are due to men and women living in an entrenched mindset. Then, mutual learning and true respect become impossible. Prejudices increase. And injustice becomes inevitable.

No matter what, this level of unprofessional investigation should have kept it out of court to start with. But it’s disappointing that any jury wouldn’t have said not guilty in 5 minutes. And I don’t even know 100% that she is not guilty. We absolutely can’t allow people to be railroaded by the police. “Better 10 guilty go free than 1 innocent go to jail “

At this point I will never be convinced 100% that she is guilty. Not to mention after years of driving in snowy conditions, how does one suddenly throw one’s car in reverse and make it to 24 mph in the middle of a snowstorm and manage to drive in a straight line in such a short distance?

Many of the sustained objections were “as to form” indicated by the judge remarking, “ask another way.” So that didn’t necessarily indicate favoritism. However, exclusion of the dog bite expert was at best a questionable ruling. However IF THERE IS A RETRIAL, the defense will have an opportunity to call the expert with proper notice, perhaps produce a forensic report and overcome the judge’s concerns for exclusion.

Karen Read did NOT put the Lexus in reverse and gun it up to 24.2 mph after she dropped off John. That was a lie. The Key Cycles proved that Karen didn’t even have the Lexus when that triggering event was recorded. When I first heard about that triggering event in the data, I was scratching my head, wondering why she would do that and if maybe that was an indication that she hit John. But when I realized that the Key Cycles don’t add up and that the car had already been seized by then, I knew it was either Proctor or Bukhenik or someone else who caused that triggering event. I thought Jackson would touch on that more after he pointed it out to Trooper Paul but I think it was too confusing for people to understand so he left it alone which is a bummer because it absolutely proves that Karen was framed.

Lee, if the state wants him gone he is gone. There is a recent law that all cops in the state have to have what is in effect a law enforcement license. The license automatically gets yanked for felony charges. Charges, not conviction. I found that fascinating. I found his testimony to be extremely damaging to the case for the same reasons you stated. It made you think what else is this man hiding and how can I trust any of the evidence brought forth by him? She said the commonwealth did not prove their case. @Lawyer Lee. What tanked the KR case was the fact that there is literally no (untainted) evidence. Indeed, there is literally no evidence. Evidence was also admitted where there was no chain of custody. When many individuals display a lack of integrity, one has to acknowledge this fact. Blind faith in "the process" is a mistake. I can understand why lawyers want to believe in the integrity of the process. However, in this case the process was demonstrably "corrupt" and although a strong term, this is indeed the case. I feel extremely angry Karen Read - a very intelligent, passionate woman with many pressing health problems - has been cruelly punished by this process. Added, in the edit, this is not an "attack" on you - your positive outlook and faith in the integrity of others is extremely admirable. Unfortunately, I have lost faith in many/most people.

The thing I really find difficult right now is Paul O’ Keefe doing interviews ripping apart Karen Read, her relationship with his brother and convinced Karen murdered John O’Keefe. He has absolutely nothing to base it on . No one ,absolutely no one saw Karen hit John O’Keefe with her car. The evidence in the trial was overly convincing that she did not commit the murder. The evidence is overly convincing to me that there was a cover up. I believe the people at the Albert house that evening absolutely know who committed the murder. I believe Paul O’Keefe may know who committed the murder or at the very least wants to put Karen Read as the murderer without wanting to find the real truth. As far as Proctor ,he is nothing but scum, the lowest of the lows.
