- Before trial, Karen Read suggested Colin Albert could be a third party culprit. Tonight we will take a look at the evidence she presented at trial.
The case against Karen Read ended in a hung jury and a mistrial was declared. Both sides have said they will retry the case.
Did Karen Read murder her boyfriend John O’Keefe by mowing him down with her car -maybe even intentionally? Or is she being set up by a corrupt law enforcement officials trying to protect their own?
O’Keefe was found dead in Canton, Massachusetts, in the front yard of Boston police officer Brian Albert. Prosecutors say Karen dropped him off at a party at Albert’s house and then hit him with her car.

Sadly, when I try to have cordial and rational conversations about the subject, such as asking somebody who is pro-guilt "which of the evidence against her did you find compelling" I get ghosted. 🤷🏻♀️

The defense didn’t prove the third party culprit. The Police didn’t investigate the third party. The Defense did prove that that there was no car accident. The Judge was horribly biased.
Yah, I think the judge is corrupt. She shouldn't have stayed on this case.
Did anyone even watch the entire trial and see the Common Wealths solid evidence?Sorry, the common wealth timelines truly outmatched the defense on technology. JOHNS Phone GPS stopped at 12:25 fact absolutley no movement after it stopped . At 12:23, John's phone gps data records the 3 point turn into 34 Fairview. Karens Suv vehicle control data recorded 24 mph reverse back up of 62 feet. This is plotted by miles on the suv within 8 minutes leading up to 12:30. This is when karen hit John. At 12:35, karen left hang up on John's phone fact. Fact at 12:36 Karen's phone connects to wifi at one meadows. That only leaves a few minutes for all of what the defense claims. What happened supposedly the fight in the house with the dog dragging the body to the lawn with all parties involved, Absolutley insanely absurd to make such a ludicrous claim. As for the defence On it’s own the Apple Health app is limited. It really does require accessories to gather the data. Jen Mccabes times don't matter as much since the human element of recalling 2 and a half years ago is a factor. Karen's Guilty of murder

Did anyone say the dog dragged him outside? That would be silly. There is no way his injuries are from a vehicle. That's also silly.
I am going to bow out on any more Karen Read videos for now. It hurts me to think how ‘reasonable doubt’ is so unattainable even when the experts back you up. I need to watch another case like Daybell, where the bad guys lose and the good guys win. It’s just where I’m at right now.

Its obvious they lied, they all lied but karen Read and the medical examiner. How this ended in mistrial and not a not guilty is beyond me.
So if the "kids" were not harassing John by walking on his lawn, lobbing beer cans onto his property, flipping him the bird, and generally being a pain in the arse, why did he feel the need to put up a fence, hmmmm.
Why didn't they pull data from his cellphone and his car to confirm what time he got home?
The defense couldnt. Only way they could get it is if the FBI got it because Proctor isnt going to snitch on his own crew...

Colin’s phone was never extracted. Just Jen, Karen, and John, and the things Higgins decided to turn over.
@@Esselle1 the defense attempted to get the phones of Higgins and B Albert but the court denied it. The day before the preservation order, both of them got new phones.
They need to start getting all phones records now!!
The amount of alcohol and fights seems to be a normal thing in that Albert family, adult or teenager.
Colin Albert was like a little baby on the stand. But not when he was threatening Aiden Kearney last Sunday....big tough little boy then.

Brian Higgins said he used the FBI tool to extract the "test strings" of the texts... so why were there screenshots put in evidence?
That FBI computer didn't make screenshots, so where are the files it would have created?
Feels like defense should have asked about this.
And for that matter, they should have gotten some FBI representative to explain this.

I mean, Chris Albert said he fell asleep for an unknown amount of time and then was woken by Colin's gn. The bar camera said Chris left at 12:13. If Colin left the party at 12:10 according to every testimony from the mcalberts, how did Chris have time to fall all the way asleep if Colin was 9 minutes away from home?
They killed this cop and covered up. That's what's up here, they need to be charged. The judge did not allow much in

Question for the Medical Examiner: What was the internal body temperature of the deceased? What was the estimated TIME OF DEATH? How much estimated volume of blood loss?
I just don’t think a rational jury can be pulled unless they change to a distant venue.

Hi Lawyer Lee, When you stated that the lawyers get emotionally invested, that was the case in the Adelson trial. Katherine Magbanua’s first trial ended in a mistrial however once retried received a guilty verdict.
That's very different. In Karen's case she will never be found guilty because it's very clear John okeefe was never struck by a vehicle not to mention the other mountains of evidence that point to the Albert and McCabe family

No, they are forbidden from discussing the case at all.
Every day judges give that instruction to juries because they can't really decide until they see all the evidence. If they hear one version of an event then the next day they might hear a different version of that event. People have different views because all have different life experiences.

14:23 Granted I didn’t drink as a teen (still don’t, alcohol is too bitter) but I would have still let my parents know when I got home because my mom made me promise to always let her know as she couldn’t sleep knowing someone wasn’t home yet and my dad would be up waiting regardless unless he already knew I was getting home later.
I suppose it all depends on the teen’s relationship with their parents. Judging by how lax with the drinking laws everyone is in this town I’d put money on them not caring much their teen is drinking.
My teen always lets us know when he comes in as he knows I worry and can’t sleep until then
Colin has a very disturbing video that was part of the trial. He doesn’t look innocent. Just because children come in to say “they’re home” doesn’t mean they don’t leave again. Especially if they’re up to no good.

Did I hear you correctly that the Judge denied the defense to argue that Colin was there at the time BECAUSE there was testimony that he left before everyone else arrived. Wouldn’t that be up to the jury to decide?
What has happened with Higgins? I thought he had a lawyer and was being investigated by the FEDS…will we ever know.

@@jfk32975How do you know the car hit him? 3 coroner's said bruises weren't from a car. 2 people the FBI hired proved the car did not hit him. So basically anyone that was an expert in a specific field of study said no. Only ones who said yes were cops. Cops that were friends with the people who lived at the house.

Colin lied on the stand saying he's never been in a fight. Now there is a video of him in a fight. Cross going to be good next time around. Busted

Dateline interviewed Juror #3 an alternate .Who had to sit in a seperate room during deliberations for 5 days and not deliberate .She said afterward the CW had not proved their case to her she was in the opinion of Not Guilty beyond reasonable doubt and with a moral certainty .
Thanks for explaining the 3rd part culprit standards. Judge Cannone clearly erred allowing all the 3rd party evidence and it did confuse the jury while having no probative value whatsoever, as the trial proved.

If you listen closely to the 911 tape, Jennifer Mcabb said they flipped him over which would put him on his stomach when they found him
Things had been heating up all day. Earlier, on the way back from a funeral Higgins and Brian Albert had attended together Higgins probably confided his "problem" with John O'Keefe due to his feelings for Karen. Everyone left the Waterfall bar when it closed around midnight. Karen dropped O'Keefe off at Brian Albert's house and the last she saw of him he was making his way to the house. He was supposed to call her when he got inside, but never did. After waiting around several minutes, she left and went home She continued to call him several times, got no answer, gave up and went to bed. O'Keefe and Higgins had an encounter in the driveway where Higggins struck O'Keefe with his Jeep's tire iron. He left O'Keefe's unconscious body temporarily in the garage and made a quick sweep of the driveway with his Jeep's snowplow . WHY?--there was hardly any snow on the driveway. Later, they (Higgins and other members of the McAlbert Clan) moved the still alive body again to the basement, figured out a plan, and later moved the body again to the front lawn where O'Keefe eventually died. About 2:47 am SOMEONE checked Google on a cell phone about how long it takes someone to die of hypothermia. The coverup began and was later led and finessed by Procter. Evidence of the considerable blood loss from the head wound was destroyed by digging up and redoing the basement floor.
I thought I set an alarm at 5:36. I was thinking “what the heck, why”? 😂
