Notes on the Audio
I've been having issues with audio, both from the camera and the software I use to edit and produce videos. You might hear some weird audio "ducking" between my narration, the music, and the crow footage. I sincerely apologize, but I couldn't figure out how to fix it all. I hope it's not too distracting or annoying.

They really love "brute force". That seems to make up a large part of their DNA... 😄
8:30 Those vocalisations are right out of Jurassic Park! Creepy…. Well, crows are descended from dinosaurs so ….
They definitely seem more purposeful and accomplished in this vid, incredibly quick learners imo, they seem to have also gained confidence, great job Britz.
yoy bring joy to all that watch thank you morrrrrrrrr gan :-)
Love this footage. They are such fascinating birds and I love watching them problem solve. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you.
My crows love cashews
I have some spare cashews in my kitchen I really should set out for them.
This is wonderful. Squirrels and Crows ❤️
"dang squirrel!" 😂
thank you morrigan for your smooth voice its relaxing like your videos that post
The squirrel visits (and your commentary) are too funny 😆
I'm so glad you're still enjoying these vids. Thanks for commenting. Also, I miss ya!
@@thesuburbanmorrigan miss seeing you, too!
Have you tried popcorn? My crows love it.
No! What an interesting idea. I will try it! Much less messy than cat food.
LOL!!! Batcrow and Robin! :D
Crowman!
Your commentary keeps me in stitches! Love your videos ❤
Nice ham radio antennas there - 73 de kt8k! Thanks for the great videos.
Thanks for commenting! Ham radio is my husband's hobby, though he's not super-active these days. We also have a weather station in the same general area there.
TNX! Got a discone for scanner (never boring in the DMV) six and two meter loops, 144/440 mz vert on the back deck and G5RV-jr for HF. 73 de KG4FJK
Your videos are awesome 😂. Mine are still too skittish
Thank you so so much! It takes a very long time to earn crows' trust, in my experience. The blue jays will play "peanut ball" with me, but I'm not sure the crows even recognize me.
I suggest a certain feeding strategy:
Put the least attractive food (peanuts without shell?) at a safe (in their view) distance from you. So far that all crows are fine with taking it from there.
The shorter the distance to you, the better the food should be. The (average) preference of my about 15 wild crows is (ascending, everything without shell): peanut, hazelnut, almond, Brazil nut, walnut, dry dog food, insects, pancake (with very little salt), egg yolk, fish (fish fingers / sticks), cashew, goulash, minced meat, mice.
The intended result: The more skittish crows watch the braver crows getting much better food without being harmed or even just disturbed. A crow can take a lot but one of its worst fates is: Watching another crow feed. So that is an extreme motivation for getting braver.
My about 3 bravest crows now take cashews from 20cm away from me, leaning on the wall of my balcony (but, of course, I must not be looking at them). When they land I look at them and say "Hello". Then I look away from them.
@@HaukeLaging Thanks for the info and the suggestion! When the weather is warmer, I might try this on the deck outside my bedroom, where there is already a regular bird feeder. As of now, most of the time, the crows and I don't see one another.
@@thesuburbanmorrigan Then it would probably help to do this at the same time each day so that they get used to looking for you then.
yeah. this seems like a male and a female. They are awkward around the puzzles yet but they figure it out!
