    These videos surely take a lot of time and effort to make. We appreciate that. Here's a little something for crow treats, or for treats for you! Thank you so much.

    at around 9:00 when Krari is trying to figure out that blue toy -- and figures out how to open it -- its as if he is playing with it for a while because he doesn't just grab the food out? .. right?

    • @KrariTheCrow
      @KrariTheCrow  Před rokem +5

      It's Kräri but he is doing exactly that. He ignores the food and plays with the opening mechanism. He is fascinated by it. I think he is learning.

    I think crows are machos/very hirarchical in general I guess. I was like WTF, when I wached Krah (the crow I feed at my window) greedyly eating the good parts for himself and bringing the rest to his companion (I am guessing its his partner). 😳
    @13:09 I was laughing so hard when the other one got the wooden sticks to play while Krari was checking the puzzle and eating all the goodies for himself. 🤭😆🤣

    Krari is very smart, and you are very creative! I just wish Krari wasn't so mean to Kami. You are an inspiration to people all over the world who want to engage with their local corvids -- thank you!

    • @KrariTheCrow
      @KrariTheCrow  Před rokem +1

      Oh, Thank you! I know what you mean about Kräri and Kami. But remember he has to protect his rank and terrirory. If he would show any weakness his offspring would just take over and force him out. It's a hard life for wild animals out there.

    • @thesuburbanmorrigan
      @thesuburbanmorrigan Před rokem

      @@KrariTheCrow Thanks for that insight. I think American crows behave a bit differently. They are hierarchical, but sometimes offspring stay with their parents for years, and may even help raise their little brothers and sisters.

    • @KrariTheCrow
      @KrariTheCrow  Před rokem +1

      I think hooded crows do that too sometimes. Kami for example stayed into the new breading season. But it causes a lot of chaos. He enacted another crow, maybe a partner? Kräri and Kruu were under constant stress to defend their territory. Kruu abandoned the new nest and both parents had to chase Kami and the strange crow out.
      Luckily they started a new, successful nest after that.

      @@KrariTheCrow Yeah, I watched the video that told the whole story. It was so heartwarming to see the four fledglings show up after all the earlier stress. I hope the whole crow family (and your human family) is well. 🥰 Thank you for all you do!

      @@KrariTheCrow die nimmt sich tatsächlich alle Becher weg. Bin mal gespannt, ob sie bestimmte gut Farben erkennen können. Aus Erfahrung weiß ich, dass die Krähen türkis blaue Farbe sehr gut sehen. Vielleicht deshalb, weil es aus Sicherheitsgründen wichtig ist (Feinde am Himmel). Die Krähen sind bekannt, dass sie Ampeln und Verkehrsregeln verstehen.
