I did not know that city centers and encampments gave a height buff when attacking
Wow! Really informative and well-made video :) now I finally understand how all of this combat stuff works
Anothee well made video! Are you planning on making a video on how terrain effects a cities defence rating?
Thanks! I will add city defence to my to-do list :) if you have any other requests, just let me know and I'll consider them.
Very useful. Thank you
Excellemt! Waiting for more)
Been looking for something like this along time! Thanks
We need more of these
Very well explained ✌🏽
Thank you, very usefull!!!
please continue making videos!!!! 🙏
Bit slow but very well explained. Height bonuses are interesting and I did not understand them well
90% of all info in this video i did not know previously. Thanks! But im going to give some critics anyways.
1)The "height" value is in the game, but labeled as "range". As i understood, every forest/hill gives -1 range. A watching balloon gives +1, so it negates.
2)Verbality. You probably are trying to get those 2 ads in a vid, but if you are not - try to speak faster and compress the script.
3)Personal preferences (mine purely, you can fully ignore this section)
The watch tower comparison is really good and, if used more, could really help people to remember certain bonuses (destroyed encampment - destroyed watchtower, watching balloon acts as a watch tower, yadda yadda)
More illustrations. I understand that they are hard to make, but if you are not going to increase your talking speed, you can visualise for more clarity instead.
Will you make a video about the early game (first city queue, engage in early war or not)?
Maybe different tiers of artillery have different height bonuses?
Like archer +0
Bombarda +0
Artillery +1
Rocket Artillery +2?
Is it all range increases or is it just having a range of 3+ then? This sounds a little redundant beyond pedantically combining the rules for modifiers and late game units, particularly as the only common unit that can get a +1 while having a range of 1 is the slinger, and a 4 promotion slinger is a bit absurd even in marathon, but I think it’s observable for… China’s crouching tiger?
wow how you know it?
