Man I thought I was doing something wrong with the hubs I had a slide hammer on them and nothing. Watching you slide them off like that makes me jealous as hell 😂. I bet the whole job will be a pain going to have to set it aside for a bit

If you are to hammer out the axle in the way that we had done... thread on the axle nut so that it is flush with the end of the axle covering the threads. This should prevent the threads from getting marred.

ya i had the same issue with the drum seized on. it took heat and 2 cans of pen oil with a 12lbs sledge. and it fought all the way off. mushroomed the axle and used a grinder and file to save as much as i could;d but lost my crown holes.

Had a machinist friend look at ours. Was able to run a die over the one, other axle was grinded down aswell.

Mine has so much play in the axel like one of the wheel bearings just turned to dust!

We don’t know the size of them. We ended up using two adjustable wrenches. Didn’t have any spanners that large.

41mm I believe. And my adjustables only open to 40mm 🤦🏻‍♂️

@@smellslike1477 We ended up buying an older craftsman adjustable wrench from a flee market years ago. opens to an 2 1/2” I believe. First time we had to use it.
