Great video! Super interesting and informative. Thanks for filming and sharing your knowledge. :)
thanks for watching!
Thanks for your videos as.always. what is the chip clamp you use ? Wondering what to search for!
Are use just called IC clips.. I believe they’re made by 3M
@@classicarcaderepairs4818 perfect, just been looking and found the same. Just ordered one. This video was just what I needed, an explanation of the 4 channels, looking at enable, output and inputs.. superb. Would love more on measuring these chips on the scope and what each chip type does! Awesome.
@@robllewellyn continue looking through the videos... i have a lot of nice logic analyzer stuff.. lots of chips analyzed
@@classicarcaderepairs4818 keep watching? I can't actually STOP watching! Haha. I've got a PacMan on the way, so I can fix that from your videos. Struggling with a Ghosts n Goblins and I need to fix something that I can watch a load of videos of.
Which number of the mux?
Another excellent video. Your boards always come out so clean, what do you use for cleaning ?.
Thanks! and what i use is simple green.. (i actually use the off brand mean green) i spray it on then lightly scrub the pcb with an old toothbrush (do both sides.... you would be surprised how much dirt collects on the backside). i then rinse it in the tub. while it is still wet, i spray both sides really good with 91% isopropol alcohol. i make sure to get the dipswitches and sockets really good with the alcohol. it usuallt takes about 20 minutes or so, then its completey dry...
@@classicarcaderepairs4818 Cheers for the reply buddy, appreciated. Unfortunately I don't have a clue what simple green is, i'm in the UK & it's not something I've come across over here. Just found some on Amazon, but it's listed at over £77.00 a gallon.
@@rscelectrical7091 wow! 77 dollars! hmm simlpe green is just an industrial stregth type multipurpose cleaner... i used to use something called purple power that you get at automotive stores....
@@classicarcaderepairs4818 : Had a bit of a shock when I saw the price of it over here, it actually converts to $100.62 USD at today's rate. I was using Mr Muscle Lemon cleaner which is pretty good for lifting dirt, but when I went to buy some more this week couldn't find any on the shelves. Never got my boards as clean as yours either ☺.
@@classicarcaderepairs4818 good info.. thanks for sharing.. so do you wash the entire board (sockets, chips, capacitors and all)? My Dad gave me his old cocktail table and I'm trying to clean it up and get it working for my girls.
If I may inquire.. how does one reset the daughter board on the main board? My ms pacman and ghosts have all shifted to the right of the maze. therefore it makes it difficult to turn.. not sure how to fix this. It was recommended that I reset daughter board.. ?? thanks for any help. Thanks for sharing your videos...
It sounds like you have a positioning fault... and simply resetting the daighter pcb will not fix it
You have a 4 channel scope! Why not use one probe on load and a second probe on other signals that you want to show?
rlg42 rlg42 that is a great question... i just simply wasnt prepared for what i was doin... the frequency of the first counter was to high to really show it anyway
