Why We Don't Top Trees

This video is a brief explanation of what happens to a tree after it has been topped. They always end up ugly, then damaged, and then dead. Don't cut the tops off trees! There is a correct method called crown reduction that is able to shorten a tree a little bit but you can't just lop off half a tree and expect it to have a healthy normal lifespan after that.
