  • r/Entitledparents In today's episode, OP is going to the doctor's office to get his colostomy bag removed. He pulls out his Switch in the waiting room and plays for a little bit, and of course a little kid comes over to watch. When OP gets called into the doctor's office and tries to leave, the angry dad actually tries to steal the switch and grabs for it. But, instead of grabbing the Switch... he grabs the colostomy bag instead! Woops! If you like this video, be sure to subscribe to my channel for more Reddit videos!

i have an entitled parents story:
so i'm a professional DJ and music producer. one of my old friends from school wanted me to help him get in to music and i agreed to help him. me and my friend was both 19-years-old.
he would regularly come to my house on weekends so i could teach him music stuff. he never really paid much attention, he just wanted to do his own thing with my music equipment.
it became very obvious over time that he didn't really wan't my help, he just didn't wan't to spend money on his own music gear.
I continued to let him visit on weekends for a few months and eventually let him have an opening slot at one of my concerts.
this is where his entitled mum comes in to it. his EM was complaining to me that i only gave him a 30 minute slot and not an hour but i explained to EM that the time i gave him is time out of my own slot so the more time i give him the less time i would get for myself so I couldn't give him more time. EM was annoyed but excepted.
after EM saw all my music equipment at the concert she was impressed as there was thousands of pounds worth of gear which i owned.
me and EM then had a discussion a couple days after the concert. she wanted me to perform at a party she was hosting. funny thing is she didn't wan't me performing, it was her son who she wanted to perform but she just wanted access to my equipment. i told her i would do it but for a price seen as i wasn't performing, she just wanted to use my equipment.
she was annoyed at the thought of having to pay and started telling me all about her financial situation, etc, and saying things like "i'm giving you an opportunity to get more experience!" i couldn't be bothered to listen to the excuses so i just told EM that i'll do it for free but she needed to pay to hire a van because no way all that equipment would fit in her small car and i can't drive so usually hire transport for the equipment anyway. she demanded that i pay for the van and again spoke about her financial situation. this time i put my foot down and said "no, i'll help you but i'm not paying out my own pocket to help you"
EM then began to try and convince me to bring my equipment for weeks leading up to the party she was hosting. after EM realized i wasn't going to help and time was running out, she manged to some how buy thousands of pounds worth of music equipment for her son to use even after telling me all about her financial situation over and over again. this is where it gets funny.
EM started posting on social media flexing her sons equipment in a way that was clearly aimed at me. eventually i spoke up and said her son doesn't have a clue about music and buying the equipment is basically like buying him a car without a license. EM then posted a picture of a car on social media with a caption saying "my son knows exactly how to drive it!"
this started a big argument and her telling everyone that i was jealous of her son and how he is becoming better than me. (her son doesn't have a clue about music mainly because he didn't pay attention to anything i taught him and most super beginners would be better than him at music) EM when tried to wreck me on on social media by tagging all her family in posts saying i'm bullying and harassing her son for no reason which meant i was receiving angry messages from strangers every day. she also threatened to sue me at one point as well (i would of like to see how that went) i won't mention everything EM did but one of the things that stands out was her creating a fake body builder profile on Facebook to use to threaten me.
i fast cut off all contact with that whole family. it's been several months since that happened and my friend quit music because it was to hard for him to do it independently without my help.
he actually recently got back in contact to ask me for music help again and seen as he never actually did anything wrong i agreed to email him music advice occasionally but i hope i never speak to his entitled mother again.

My son is autistic and this lady showed more patience than I would have. If ANYBODY tried that crap with my son, they had better have an escape plan lined up. I can be a bit, overly protective of my son. And so can his 2 sisters and my wife. On a scale, I can go from “0” to “you better start running” in a heartbeat. Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, messes with my kids. Perhaps the lady should try feeding her child more often. On a side note, my son also does the, as we call it, “flappy happy” hands (although that can also mean that something is to much for them). I know exactly what this lady is talking about. And for people that don’t know, when autistic children bang on their heads it’s a sign that they’re having sensory overload and it actually hurts their brain. So they bang on their heads to try and make that pain stop. I think, in my opinion, that the voices of karens and entitled people must set this reaction off as well. I’ve had one person before tell us that famous line of, “He doesn’t look disabled”, to which I reply, “Neither do you, but here we are”. She got all huffy and said, ”Are you calling me r****ded?” So I told her, “I REALLY don’t like that word, but if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that bitch up and wear it”? Never seen a rolly polly walk so fast in my life. Pretty sure she was crying, but nobody, I don’t care if you’re the pope, NOBODY fucks with my kids.

So when my bigger brother was about four years old, they were at the local swimming school. There was this swim teacher, and she popped a balloon, I’m guessing to teach them something, my mom wasn’t in there with the kids so she doesn’t know why, and my brother doesn’t remember. My brother is autistic and sensitive to the sound, and since he’s a little kid he started crying. Guess what this swim teacher does? She later goes up to my mom, and says:
“Can’t you raise your kid right?”
My mom was shocked, and walked away from her with my big brother. My mom later wrote an email to her, saying she can’t work with kids if she treats them like that.

Watching some old r/slash. I have a daughter with a disability. She has a trach and at night she sleeps with a ventilator. When she was younger though she needed the vent 24/7 which meant taking all of her equipment with us everywhere. I have met my share of rude people, people peaking in handicap spots and other stuff but for each rude person we also meet some amazingly nice people who go out of our way to be nice (like the grandma). I remember one time I was at the doctors with my daughter and since my husband is military we then went to the pharmacy which is in the same hospital. There is a kiosk where you scan your id then push a button to get a number. The options are active duty in uniform, called in refill, handicap/disabled and all others. Then based on option the numbers are called according to priority. I am standing there getting a ticket and my daughters nurse had pushed her like 3ft away to wait. This elderly gentleman behind me says “don’t lie you are not disabled”. I said “o I am sorry I guess you didn’t notice my daughter right there, the meds are for her”. He says doesn’t matter, it’s only for adult disabled. Before my brain could formulate his thought process for this his wife said stop being bitchy Herman to this nice lady. She can most certainly use the disabled number and in fact you should to because you don’t have long to live. He was like what are you going on about. To which she reply’s I am going to kill you if you don’t get your shit together. I was just so shocked and trying not to laugh!!! Oh to be that woman when I grow up!!

He goes non-verbal and not only has autism but also anxiety disorder, ocpd, and has had six spinal surgeries. Needless to say he needs a lot of medical intervention and a lot of extra attention.
I find the terminology that the so-called autistic mother used is absolutely disgusting. I can't believe she referred to her daughter as a royal pain and that she doesn't take her out in public because it's too uncomfortable for the mother. How does she ever expect her child to be able to function and deal with things? That child is not going to learn anything it is going to continue to have meltdowns and continue to be a quote pain" if she keeps her hidden. Is she ashamed of that poor child? Is she lazy? My little brother is autistic, not in any severe way but it affects our whole family’s life. So I’d say it’s a little more than like the middle ground? Anyway, I get told that’s not a real disability and that it’s fine. But he can’t interact well in any crowded or socially pushy environment so he get in trouble a lot.
One time this kid faked having autism and expected to get treated like a prince for it. I kicked him out, don’t shit on my family 🙃🙃🙃
(Edit) I know that this kid wasn’t disabled bc his mom said that she had to be rough with him because he acted up. The dad was a gambling addict so she filed for divorce but had rough financial struggles. I’m not a real adult yet, so I can’t sympathize very well but I felt bad for the mom and kid. but I respect those that do.
It's real all right... and people are making a gigantic deal out of it in a negative light.
The way I see it? The brain is wired differently. It's not a bad thing, it's like... oh how do I put this properly...?
Ah. It's like working with a computer. Sometimes you have to switch parts out and around to get it to function in a specific way.
I believe these types of people, the Aspergers [I don't think I wanna use 'aspies' because it sounds offensive] and Autistic, are simply 'wired' to perform specific things. I have heard stories about the amazing things autistic folks can do that most people can't.
Hell, I'm willing to put money down that the next groundbreaking scientific discovery will be made by an autistic person.
Yes they may have physical disabilities here and there as well as some mentral detriments... But the best thing we can do is try to help raise them up. Help them learn to stand on their own and be a shining star in the dark sky.
These idiots who claim that autism isn't real? Tch. I say we round them up and plant them on an isolated island of pure dung. I'm sure they'd be right at home given they're so full of it.

I remember when my brother and I were younger my brother has autism it doesn’t effect him much but one of the big things is mood swings my mom had to go to the store and no one was home to watch my brother and I, I was completely fine but my brother screamed the whole drive there when we got in the store he was refusing to walk my brother was about 6 but he was weirdly tall so we got one of those carts like the mom in one of these stories that my brother and I can sit in because my brother has a mental disorder and there was room for me to sit so I did
This women comes up to my mom and was like umm your kids look like they are perfectly able to walk
Again my brother was autistic and technically disabled sooooo we were doing nothing wrong
My mom explained that to her
Then the psycho turned her attention to me saying WELL SHES FINE ISN’T SHE SHE ISN’T BROKEN
The second she called my brother broken it was on my mom lost it
I started crying because I’m a sensitive kid my brother didn’t really understand but he was asking me what was wrong
The lady ended up getting a one month ban from that store for harassing us
My brother takes medication for is mood swings so he dosent usually get them but sometimes we run into these situations because my brother dosent look autistic I mean is there a specific look for autistic people

A side note on the story in Germany: This mother isn‘t just entitled, she breaks the law. Child support in Germany is paid by the state (per child, btw) bound to, well, support children. It is intended to be spent on the expenses you have because of the child. If the child lives at home, this includes food, school stuff, clothing, hygiene products, stuff like that. Of course, it doesn‘t cover the costs, but it is a relief. It is even upped for the 3rd and further children. It is paid until a certain age or another restriction is met (like, if you start your apprenticeship at age 15, after 9 years, you will have your job degree at 18 and earn your own money. Child support ends. If you go to uni after school, child support comes in until 25 years max, iirc).
So, if the kid doesn‘t live at home anymore, you don’t have any expenses for the child. Therefore, you have to give the money to your child, as it is supposed to cover parts of their living costs. Usually, you inform the Jugendamt (equivalent to youth welfare service), and the money is paid directly to the child. OP could sue his mother for embezzlement, because OP is entitled to the whole sum. Any argument of „I raised you, so you owe me“ is invalid, as she received her portion of child support while he lived with her.

  • @damagedvixen1779
    @damagedvixen1779 Před 3 lety

Hey, so about that last story...
TECHNICALLY... he did both. When he grabbed and ripped the ostomy bag it was theft of the medical device for someone that... by law... is considered to have a disability. When he yanked it off and tore the skin, it became assault. So he did both.
My colon was failing for over two years, being told I was faking it and being over dramatic before I found a doctor who realized being 85ibs unintentionally was no joke and had to perform emergency surgery to save my life. Stuff like that is no joke, and the bags fill up fast with both waste and gas. Not to mention that sometimes the waste can spill onto the skin if it’s not sealed right and eat away at the layers which cause red irritated skin that make it painful to twist or move.
Not just that, buuuut since his intent was to steal something else... I mean... he tried to steal something that wasn’t his, put his hands on someone BY LAW is considered disabled, verbally assaulted them, physically assaulted them, and took a medical device from someone who needed it. All in front of a child... they need to tack on as many charges to get it through this guys head that not only what he did wasn’t okay, but his attempt to take someone’s stuff wasn’t okay either. With some people that’s the only way they learn... they could have caused that person some severe pain, and that’s never okay.

I'm someone with high-functioning autism with other mental disabilities.
Sometimes mine does show, other times it doesn't. It took years before someone finally diagnosed me with autism. From age 4-13, doctors couldn't figure out what I had, so they put me on meds for a number of different things.
It pisses me off whenever someone doesn't acknowledge that autism is a real disability and that there's different levels of it on the spectrum.
