I was in high school in 1998. We had pizza everyday. It was in Michigan, so most kids also got ranch from the salad bar to dip their pizza in. I don't think anyone actually ate a salad though.
@@a.graham7979 I was in high school in the early 2000s. Kids had a daily choice of either the regular meal (spaghetti, those awesome taco tubs, whatever) or a slice of pizza and french fries. Most kids chose the pizza/fries daily. Ah, childhood obesity.

My highschool/s had many options such as tacos, burgers, chicken nuggets, pasta, and the obvious pizza. We also had a cafe that was technically for the teachers, but students could order from it as well

My Memaw has made us goulash my entire life. I now realize that, upon seeing it was a popular school lunch food in the sixties, she probably had it during school as a kid.

They served goulash at school and it wasn’t bad at all I ate it up like crazy

2010s: Dry Burger with frozen patty and rock hard bun, small carton of milk or water, and Carrots or apples in a bag
U had a dry burger! We would get lucky if we had 10 day expired microwave pasta.
Never saw milk in a glass on any school lunch. They were always In little cartons - the kind still used for stuff like heavy cream, or coffee creamer.

I don't think he stopped dying until it was gray throughout and therefore a pain to dye, haha. But I'm glad he decided to embrace it while still at an unusually young age for having gray hair...it's a good example to other early-grayers to accept themselves. And he rocks it, of course! 🤗

My schools food is amazing
I don't know. Some stuff was good or at least decent. Like school jambalaya was always good... turkey and gravy... and in jr. high, there was a line for either stuffed crust pizza, which was better than the usual school pizza rectangle most get , and there were spicy chicken sandwiches were around the quality of a hot and spicy from McDonalds, but bigger.
The university caf around here has great food, but aren't colleges always better with food? It's basically a buffet with really good food.

My secondary school dinners (high school) consisted of a turkey burger with french fries and flat "American style" cola flavoured water. Had that every day. Infant school I just had a banana cos I'm fussy with food. Cant really remember what I had in junior school though, but I do remember shortbread for pudding.
This is not the best idea to watch food videos while hungry but it's worth it

Well if it makes you feel better in the 90s and early 00s we got everything frozen that was also unhealthy. On more than a few occasions the plastic wrap was still ON the microwaved pizza they served me for lunch hidden under the cheese. It's amazing I didn't choke to death on my lunches....different times I geuss.....
