Nonononono that is not pannukakku, that is a Finnish crepe called lettu. Pannukakku is made in the oven, even though pannukakku would translate to pancake if you were to just straight up translate it. It's confusing, but yeah that is not a Finnish pancake because those are made in the oven and they are thick, just like american pancakes. Pannukakku is made in an oven tray rather than a pan. You were right about us having pannukakku with that soup, but unfortunately that is not a pannukakku. Hernekeitto and pannukakku is a classic combo here that is also served every thursday in the Finnish military.

They should have a version of this game where Josh makes a food that SEEMS like it could’ve come from somewhere on the map, and they have to guess if it’s an actual food, and if so where it’s from

That hernekeitto (pea soup) they had on the show looked weird. The real deal they serve us in schools is literally one best food you could eat here. it fills you up and keeps you warm on a cold winter day. I know it does not look appetizing for some people, but it's all about the flavor. They even serve it in the Finnish military every Thursday. This is why we call Thursdays "hernkeittopäivä" (pea soup day). It's kinda like taco Tuesday you guys have there in the US
