Glad to see you cover E Bikes, especially budget E Bikes.
I have been riding one for the past 2 years. It's a 26" dual suspension folding E Bike sold under the Ancheer name at the time.
It has the same battery capacity and motor as the bike in your video.
I now see them being sold under other brand names.
    I paid $650.00 or (£485.46) in 2020. $706.10 (£547.42) in todays money.
I'm looking at getting a 20" model as it would be better suited for the riding I do, as well as be easier to store.
I live 0.8 miles from work, and ride my bike as often as I can. ( I live in Northern Pennsylvania, West of Erie)
My longer trips usualy are about 6 miles round trrip with 2 5% grade hills. (They really kill a battery! 🤣)
I wind up charghing twice a week.
I look foreward to more videos from you, as you were helpful with me making my 1st OLED TV purchase this past November.
    I got the 55" LG C1.

    • @faithwilson3150
      @faithwilson3150 Před 2 lety +1

Yes, it works for me (18.1st) and once it’s unlocked I can get 36ish kmh without peddling around 40kmh when peddling with the throttle pinned back.
I’m at the very limit though, as the max weight for this bike is 18.9st so I try not to carry too much stuff with me. I’m also careful with curbs and potholes etc as I’m heavy and the wheels are thin road wheels.
Also, don’t expect the same acceleration and range as much lighter riders will get,…but that said acceleration is still plenty good enough, and I still achieve 25-30m range without peddling.
      Hope this helps!

Great Video ! I got this bike winter 2021 to get ready for biking now in spring 2022. I thought they would be sold out and wanted to be sure to get one. I got mine directly from Fiido and got it shipped from CZ in about 2 weeks. Paid the same as you did. 700 euro in total. Im abit unfit and a new biker, have had and rode other electric bikes before, but those comparisons is 2x or 3x the price so its not valid in this case to compare. I would recommend Fiido D4S for anyone in any urban or cemented/pavemented area. There is no shock absorbing, and the wheels are 20 inch so its not a good offroad option. The Himo z20 is a better option for bumpy roads, but it does not feature the same lenght of stem and seatpole as D4S, This is a bike that adapts well to long people. Brakes are ok and the option to just wring the throttle is very nice, i usually dont start from still, the motor probably feels better and lasts longer if yer throttling after abit of speed has been gained, and it also does pedal assist so its not hard to peddle. The weight is 18,5 Kg and its about 2/3 of the length of a non folding normal bike with 28 inch wheels when it is in its total length unfolded - ready to ride. its 1/3 of a normal bike when folded. The stem and seatpole is very adaptable and can be used for very long people. im almost 190cm and i think 200 cm would be no problem, Look at the guy in this video as a comparison to yer own physique. If he can fit and the bike can handle it. I feel its safe enough to say that not many are as large and heavy as this very trained man is.
Also, D4s can be tuned to a higher throttle speed (36kmh) with a speed hack without any tools. But i dont do it and because it is not legal, its something you would have to look up yourself on how to do...But there is alot of videos on that topic if yer inclined to go faster. There are different models aswell. some dont seem to speed hack. probably regulatory issues. Only expect what the manufacturer officially says, everything above and beyond their own statements about a product is icing on the cake and should not be expected to work.
I recommend this bike for its great price point, the riders height can be adjusted to long people in a very comfortable seating position, the throttle whenever option is great and lastly the size and its weight is optimal for an ebike in a suburban enviroment. Carrying a bike up stairs is hard, but this one is small in size and weighs relatively low compared to other ebikes.

@@TheTechGiantCZcams Thanks mates. The only drawback (something negative must be said, opinions should never be all good) in this bike is that my brakes , my front brakes are "pulsating" when i front wheel brake. but the back brakes are working well.
I must also stress the long people issue, to really say clearly that this foldable bike is well suited for long people. I know i said it, but its important for long people to really think about what bikes that are fitted for them, especially when its a small bike. The knees really have room and that doesnt often happen on small bikes for long people. Yes you may look like Mr Bean in his car, when yer riding a small bike with small wheels, being 195cm. But that it is the cost of freedom.

It is found at 650/750 euros. The weak point: the spokes of the wheels. They tend to loosen and leave the wheel. To be monitored. I covered 36 km, without pedaling (except at start-ups), at 25/32 km/hr [flat ground, no wind, 98 kg driver, unbridled speed: 32 km/hr]. For small hills, it will be necessary to pedal slightly, just to relieve a little the engine [15 km / hr max]. For pronounced hills it will be necessary to pedal vigorously for a maximum speed of 10/12 km / hr. Avoid FIIDO Laotie "Pro", a little more powerful but with a display that is illegible in broad daylight, and that gives neither the real speed nor the km traveled. Also to avoid: Banggood, whose after-sales service never recognizes its responsibilities and commitments and will not help you in case of problems.

Nobody’s going to know buddy it has a throttle but it don’t go fast enough to attract attention really. They should really just change the law to a simple not over 500w motors which is about the point they become more capable than a normal bicycle. Sadly, please be aware that this bike does not conform to UK and EU pedelec ebike law. It requires a driving licence and appropriate insurance. Cannot go on bikeways.
Why? Has a twist throttle that can propel bike without pedal assist.
Be warned police are fining heavily throughout Europe.
Happily, there is a solution. Disconnect the throttle from the controller and super glue the twist throttle. The cadance for pedel assist works ok. Motor will apply when peddling and stop when cease peddling. Conforms to max 15mph.
Adjust mode of motor more or less power assist with minus on display.
Medium assist is great for pedal assist with some exercise.
    Great bike for the money.
Fiido provides remote video technical support and are responsive, whereas many other Internet bike companies have little or no technical support.
Thanks for a great video. Comments true and to the point. Am owner of D2Sand D4S for some 2 years.
Few problems, but one must be capable of own maintenance. Most bike maintenance shops will not take maintenance on .

Oh blimey here we go again, we know it ain't technically legal, but peddling in assist mode you are not going to get any hassle on this bike, I've done 700 miles commuting around London and I've never had a second glance from the police, if you're not peddling going 21 mph with police behind then maybe yes thay may bother you, just be smart and know when to use assist and when to use throttle.

@@coaldust01 Appreciate your comment. Sadly in Spain and other EU countries poiice are stopping and fining people wit non compliant pedelec bikes.
I was stopped and fined in Spain. UK just a question of time for the police to enforce law, as accudents are happening involving non compliant ebikes. Serious problems re accident personal liability etc.
Solution. Really pleased with my Fiido D2S since 2 years ago. Replaced controller which gives good pedelec law conformity and super glued the twist throttle. Plus took out ebike personal liability insurance. The cadence control is adequate and can be adjusted in three power assist modes with plus or minus button on display.
Bottom line I am legal with power assist up to 25kms. Some 30-40 kilometers realistic range. Totally convinced re pedelec ebiking. Don't need twist throttle. Just bought a Trek Allant plus 7. Ok the best at a price. Worth it. Powerful with full cadence control . Range 80 KMS realistically. Cheers.

Such a neat review. But I think this will come under moped or motorcycle. It should be type approved as it doesn't fall under EAPC rules (gov.uk). Reason being the propelling is assisted with the pedal but has additional propelling in the handle. Speed goes over 24.94 KMPH (37 kmph). You have to register this vehicle for licensing.

I was 1st offered £16.90 now I'm being offered £45 a third of what it will cost to fix. Also implying they will not refund if the bike is damaged in transit is frankly disgraceful! There is no way I can re pack this bike the same way, I also have no control over what happens in transit or back at their factory. We all understand things go wrong but it's how they are dealt with that makes a difference. My advise pay for this bike by credit card as at least you'll have some recompense with them. Fido, your customer service needs to stop behaving like gangsters and manage their mistakes honourably and honestly. There is still time to redeem this but it's running out. To add insult to injury this is a replacement for one stolen, not a great way to treat repeat business.

I've been riding this bike for about a month czcams.com/users/postUgkxwC0IIeIomGQVeBWg-kKJaToZkLEFIA2W and a half now and I think it's fantastic. It helps me get to work on time every day since I'm able to fit it inside of public transportation rush hour. The price is great too, people are always shocked when they ask me how much I paid for the fold up and I tell them "200". It's easy to fold and installation when it ships is insanely easy. All you have to install when the bike arrives is one foot pedal, everything else is done for you. I do recommend you carry some sort of wrench to tighten any loose screws on the handle bar and seat whenever they get a little bit loose. Other than that I think it's a fantastic bike. Easily fits in the home, can fit inside a car trunk and can even fit in subway rush hour.
